I love the fact that almost every single one of them noted that the money was going for their family and not just the woman for frivolous things. They also include “their” future, so she’s thinking ahead for her husband’s retirement. Americans take note, this was what your grandparents were like.

Its a sad shame, in America its all about the now and the government makes sure people stay on welfare and never get off. Welfare system in US has killed the family and force you to decide on free government aid in exchange for votes and abounding family structures.

If you are a foreigner planning to marry a filipina and live in Philippines, double what these girls are saying for a few reasons. 1. These girls are thinking of a filipino lifestyle. If you want occasional western food and convenient items, consider more. 2. It also depends on the financial condition of the girl's family. As a westerner, you might oversee this factor but it's huge financial burden to support her family. If you're lucky, the girl's family will be more self sufficient not to ask any money from you but if they do, you will need whole lot more than 100k per month. 3. They are thinking about day to day or month to month. You need to put aside some money monthly for emergencies. In case you have to fly back or unforeseen medical emergencies, you need always to have around $10,000 in reserve.

Foreigners. Just say no. No to single mothers. No to supporting her family beyond a couple of sacks of rice each month. No to a house bigger than you personally need. No to expensive cars. And 1,200 USD per month is fine. I had a friend that sent his baby mommy that much a week and she was living in a house he built and was 100% paid for and she was still begging more every time they talked. Hindi, no. I have never been over there, but I started an LDR with a Filipine with plans to meet up with her and I saw pretty quickly that she would never really be my wife and would always be married to her family. Any monies or gifts (unsolicited, to be fair) were promptly divvied up amongst her family. I feel like for a Filipina, it is just as important for them to support their family as it is for me to support them. Even if I helped her immediate family with a modest amount of money like $75 a month, other needs or even cousins and aunts would pop up out of nowhere and have some sort of crisis that needs tending to. I feel like even if you were an upper middle class or wealthy man who went over there, you could never give enough. There would be constant impositions from relatives and your Filipina wife would be secretly siphoning your retirement monies to her family.

He found the wrong Filipina, my Filipina was making 270 USD per month 6 days a week living in a small 10c12 form. I helped her finish her store at her house in Pampanga, I send 300 a month but have done other things for her and her family without her asking. A true province woman doesn't want material things basically if they can eat comfortably they are happy. So guys find the right Filipina I think most of these ladies are thinking the guy lives in Philippines with them not the us. Abby was surprised how expensive it is here. We plan to go back and forth 3 months Philippines and 9 months here till later years

Filipinos/Filipinas are humble people. As long as they're living comfortably, not paycheck to paycheck, they will be fine and happy. If a Filipino husband is bringing in $1000 per month, they'll be (more than) fine. They would live humbly. Not extravagantly.

A great example of the differences between native life, and visitor/expat life needs. The western lifestyle can easily double those numbers, due to the costs of importing goods, as well as the 'foreigner tax' that seems to be included if shopping as a visitor/expat - mostly the exported goods demand though. The thoughts expressed by those interviewed were enlightening. The common factor for their estimates seems to focus on family. That's not something you would hear from western women these days. No wonder so many western men dream of having a chance to meet such ladies.

It's okay for a woman who earns more than you do, just as long as she is capable of fulfilling her role as a mother by taking care of the house and kids but still when it comes to gender and family roles women should really stay at home to look after the kids while the husband is away. If the woman is really into career, let her be, children will be raised by parents or maids without their mother by their side. I'm not saying that women should give up their careers for marriage, they should really realize that having a family is a committment for life than your job that can replace you any time. Women can still work but they still have to sometimes sacrifice it for being a mother, nurturer. Both cannot work full time while the kids are at home no one will take care of the kids.

@@fatimafaris3544 I never suggested foreigners are above you just that most Filipino women see foreigners as a source of wealth. I am sure there are cases where women make more than foreigners but that is likely rare, are you seriously going to tell me that the average Filipino makes more money than the average foreigner? We both know that isn’t true in a majority of cases, in fact I did some brief research and found that the median US income isn’t far behind the average Filipino physician. The average US social security check is say $1500 a month compared to an average Filipino salary that’s 1/4 to 1/2 of that? My numbers may be off slightly but you get my point.

I belonged to an Expat website - primarily American - we were chatting about the transformation of our partners once they became accustomed to what a retired Western man could provide monthly. Range was low of $1,500 (P84,000 - top 10% here) to $4,000 equal to ($4,600 pre tax dollars since most of us don't pay any US taxes) (P224,000 - top 0.1%) - that's monthly income NOT net worth. BTW in us $1,500 is just above poverty level / $4,000 is about middle of middle class. The change? When first got together "P3,000, soooo expensive - we don't need - can buy cheap one", after a few years "My love, it's only P30,000"😁

If the family pressures the Filipina daughter, she tells them to not ask her to disrespect her husband because this is what he has decided as head of family. I agree. It's reasonable to help parents - although each family must decide what is "reasonable'. The average worker making 7-10 monthly. Many ofw only get 30-40 monthly. There is a difference between what is needed and what is preferred. Imagine if a foreigner is asking her to work and send money to his parents overseas. How would that sound? And how is ok for her parents to accept someone else’s work or life savings? Don’t they feel like they pimped their daughter in process? I’ll provide for my kids until they finish college. Afterwards I’d rather hide than expect anything from them. I never thought of having kids for financial gains. I can’t imagine something more insulting than that.

Women and men are equal in VALUE but not equal in what we can do. Thats why biblically we complement each other in a relationship/marriage, everyone has their specific role. The whole equality nonsense comes from occultism (Ying(male)/Yang(female) combined into one - Balance / Equality / Trans ( in Ocucltism the perfect human being is 50% male and 50% female hence the black/white checkered board is also used in Freemasonry which you also will see alot in music videos and at coronations and weddings of kings and queens and in cathedrals) and also all the other leftist agendas. Feminism - "God is a girl", they usually worship Lucifer as female like in the Catholic church as "Mary" (isnt the Mary of the Bible). (and as sidenote Christ-MASS and Easter are not biblical feasts, all Babylonian. You can watch teachings about this from Robert Breaker if interested) If you want to know more look up the 4 part series by Spencer Smith "The Third Adam" it also will show you about false religions including especially the root of all false relgions -> Catholicism (has nothing to do with Christianity nor the Bible, its Satanism in disguise as Christianity using Bible terminology since emperor Constantine to subvert true Christianity, also behind the NWO (the NWO is nothing else than to establish the old order -> Pope/Rome ruling overr a 2 class society like before the reformation, Communism in a NWO (UN is the NWO - UNITED NATIONS, its a construct of Rome same as the EU, CIA and secret-societies)). Thats why they also try to destroy the middle-class by various agendas. I also would advise for everyone who is reading this and is a Catholic to watch "History of Bible Believers" by Gene Kim and if you want a good verse by verse teacher look up Robert Breaker. Other good teachers are Michael Pearl (The Door) and Charles Lawson. God bless.

I'm telling you. I'm younger than many of you guys and I am living the lifestyle of Overstay Road but with beautiful girls in private. I speak their language and know these girls down to their dna. These city girls are no good for you older men. You came to the Philippines to relax with a nice lady, not these city girls who will keep you on your feet 24/7 with worries at your old age. Head to the towns, as rural as you can get, and get yourself some nice Filipina and mold her to your shape. If she doesn't speak English, the better. Put her through an English course or teach her yourself. Better yet, learn her language. Mold her to your shape and make sure that the air that she breathes is regulated by you. She must depend on you AT ALL times. This nonsense talk of having a working Filipina "at your old age" is rope for your own neck.

I’m just looking into this lifestyle. When I retire next year, I’ll be looking at a $8K USD pension per month. Social security won’t kick in for another 6 years but if I take it early then it’s going to be at least $2800 USD per month. If I wait 11 years it will be $4500 per month. Retirement savings 1 Million USD. What kind of lifestyle can I lead down there? I mean I can live OK in the US, but I want to live like a rich person. Oh, and I’m not going to marry anybody. I’m going to date but no marriage.

It is crazy to think about the amounts quoted by these ladies. SS in the US on average is about 1500 which is roughly 82K pesos. I know a guy who the day he turned 62 put in for SS and got around 1200 dollars per month. He also rented his house after paying it off and averaged another 2K after taxes, maintenance etc. He had zero savings and when I talked to him a couple of years ago he said he is living a life he never imagined.
