I bought a truck from them, never will again. I had a fuel problem to begin with and the motor blew within a year even though they should me paperwork for a rebuild. The sale price was $48,000, my rebuild was $32,000. I also had lots other small things go wrong adding up to around $15000. The truck was pretty when I bought it benadryl Ohio Truck Sales will spend money dressing the trucks up instead of making them good to roll. ALL THAT BEING SAID, I would still buy a pre-emission/pre-ELD truck before buying new. The freedom is great and I am not afraid to service my own engine and work on it myself.

I've seen some of Ohio Truck Sales inventory. All I can say to prospective buyers is to check the truck out top to bottom, front to rear. You absolutely MUST know what you are looking at. Used trucks, as mentioned elsewhere, are a gamble at best. Some dealers are better than others, but almost all will try to polish a turd or put lipstick on a pig. Good luck and happy shopping.

Hey just watched your video, I subscribed because a friend of mine has the same truck but with the Cummins engine. One thing caught my attention, when you were showing the tires, and talking about that one tire you didn't like. My concern on that would be the better tire that's next to it is taking more if the weight and heat when you're loaded, because of the higher stance, making that tire more prone to a blow out. Just something to keep in mind, especially if you run heavy.

You got a gem- a W900L with the Studio Sleeper, CAT engine and the Seattle VIT interior package ( something you don't see on most Kenworths) Just hook the Qualcomm up better by hiding the wires. You spent less money than expected on the rig. Fuel economy is important but it's better than the plastic aerodynamic lookalike trucks with the troublesome emissions.

Your Ac could have been fixed with a new Breaker. That was why Kw was telling you about wiring issues. On these trucks when the ac works and cools. Then kicks out, the breaker is weak. Thus it gets hot and pops. Then cools down and will kick back on again. I had a 1995 T600 doing the same thing. After driving 10 hours in 100-degree temps. Went to check the breaker behind the clutch. Burned finger found the hot breaker. Swapped it out and back to working like new.

I'm trying to move up out of a non-CDL hotshot to semi. Been searching for older trucks but not having any luck. I called OTS about a truck and asked them if it could be driven to Macon GA and the guy couldn't say if it could make it an hour down the road. I realize that with the price I could afford any truck would need a bunch of work to get it operational, but I would expect then to know if a truck could legally drive 5-600 miles.

@@Carstalgia Lol! Well, for a salesman he was pretty honest. When I asked him if he thought the truck would pass a DOT inspection and then be drivable to Macon, he said it needed some tires and he wouldn't guarantee it would go 100 miles. That killed it for me! I was looking to drive my hotshot truck up, have it inspected and use it to tow my hotshot truck home on my gooseneck trailer. My hotshot (non-CDL) cannot legally tow a semi, and finding a bigger (CDL) hotshot trailer is harder than finding one for a semi.

@Patrick Gonzales to me its crazy that they can sell trucks that can't pass a dot inspection. It's not easy to find a truck there. I'd ask about returning it if possible. Sometimes there's a window

It's pretty obvious from their ads that they just slap some paint on trucks and flip em. I'd imagine if you know what you're looking at you could find something road worthy.

I made the big mistake by buying a truck from those guys and only is the truck a price of junk but I can't even put it to work because I can't get a title for it. I might have to wait 2 months before I can even think about putting it to work. My advice for anyone thinking about going there is basically to just stay away from there, or bring a good lawyer and a certified mechanic with.

@@mrtee3477 that's some of the difference the driver can make. My 2015 freightliner got 7.5 in winter and 8 in the summer. Took this truck to Florida and back. Heavy on way back up 75 through the mountains and got 6.7 average for the trip. Calculated using miles and fuel receipts my friend. Now I stay out of them and just run mid west, 65-70 mph and am getting 7s. Pulling dry van. I hear it all the time from others with large cars too, I'm not the only one.

Don't go to OTS and don't let your thinking be clouded by hoods and chrome. It's a business and trucks are tools. Get the hood once you're settled in and have too much money on your hands, and you can afford a good one.
