Marion NC. Not too far from Asheville that has a real cool brewery scene. At 58 Depot Street in Marion is a pretty neat red railcar and across the way is The Feisty Goldfish Arcade Bar Spot. Hope you get back to Florida for Christmas..., safe travels!

That’s important Question (what use for heating) , the diesel heater didn’t work will with me”same thing for propane “ because I am allergic and has asthma , I appreciate your advices guys ! (Or the question is how to build radiator/Or/AC heater in the van) ?

​@@ExpeditingAmerica I've got a diesel heater but no insulation so it doesn't do much for me. I do have a 20° F sleeping bag and moving blankets that keep me toasty at night. I'd like to save up for a Bluetti power station to run electric heat.

In some videos you deduct the van owners 40% from the total payout of the load, other times you deduct it from the amount left after you pay gas

Shoot me a link where I do it after the gas. I can’t recall a time that I did. I’m only doing the 60/40 split rn because I’m not in my van but if you shoot me a link I can see what you’re talking about but I’m almost sure I use the same formula every time

Yes I located a place in Dallas that has some reasonable cargo vans and I was due to go there Thursday to see what kind of agreement we can come into regarding the down payments and the monthly payments and go from there. I was due to meet with the guy but now everything is put on hold because I got hit by a deer my SUV was damaged, I'm waiting for the insurance to get into a shop and repaired. Brandon which load board for cargo van delivery is good to use. I talked to my oldest sister and was telling her that if I get a van I might just stay out as long as I can and sleep in my, to be able to save up some money catch up on some bills and other things. Brandon she said I was a silly little girl and don't even think about sleeping in my van parking who nowhere. 😅😂🤣

Rates aren’t where they should be but mine have gone up on average. But yes rates suck and aren’t fair to drivers

I typically get 80¢/mi after dispatch. Minus insurance and factoring.

@@ZavHustles My carrier itemizes all the fees on a spreadsheet. There is his cut, factoring, and insurance.

You can make more money doing doordash. To get your truck fixed faster . With renting a car for around 225 a week from enterprise.

Thank you so much for taking the time to watch the show. I don’t know how much it will cost you. Everyone is different with different credit and background history. You gotta do your own research and call dealerships and all that yourself. I can’t answer that. And I’ve only worked with one company and they are too small to take anyone in.

I do jetski rentals May-September and want to do something outside of those months. You think it’s worth it? Do you have a course I can learn from or can you direct me on where to learn?

Where are you based out of? No course and I wouldn’t even listen to social media or influencers like me. Honestly if it’s worth it boils down to your overhead and lifestyle. For some people it’s worth it for some it’s not. This industry has a high turnover rate for a reason. Btw I’m tryin to rent a jet ski for my birthday.

Ftl or full truck load is a more dedicated lane of freight. One customer per trip type gig. Usually over night or asap delivery sometimes multiple day depending on length on trip and day of delivery. Ltl is less than truck load which means I will haul multiple pieces of freight or multiple customers and deliver on dates that I schedule not the customer.

Is it really worth it for you to drive this hard for less than $20/hr?

To work for myself, answer to nobody, travel America with my dog, going on hikes and living in peace with minimal bills and stress? Yes very worth it. For me that is. Maybe not for you or others. You see $20hr I see a business doing over $130k a year gross with one van and potential for growth. Otr load boards is entry level into the business. Not what I’ll be doing forever ;)

I’m not usually a driver. Driver is a job an entry level position. You need no cdl or special license. I don’t market it as a high paying job. When I reference the $130k a year I said “business” not “job” so I was speaking from a driver perspective on why I think it’s worth it to be a driver to get in the game and what you have to work up to and why I would do it this way. Because the business it can turn into if a driver moved up and got his own van like I did.

People say it’s not much but what do you expect? To work for someone and make $50+ a hr with no special restrictions or qualifications? The thing that makes it not worth it to some is that you’re away from home. But for those who “Choose” this life and agree to do it we enjoy the road and being free. Like I said you see $20/hr I see freedom, independence, a lifestyle, peace, and a decent living
