@@jaymewillett1675 wrong. We paid what the market predicted and we instantly got a guy who can defend and knock guys into next week which takes players off their game. The guy is feared as he literally hunts down opposing scorers. Who's your team? lets hear how perfect they did signing players. If your here listening you obviously have some intreat in the signings. Probably because we are going to dominate teams physically including yours.

Yeah...nah. They really swung for the fences in the draft. So, they have some BIG prospects withy bigger upside. That's exciting! They got the guys they wanted in FA. And they want to be in Boston. These guys solve other problems from last year. They needed to help the Charlies...pair Mac with Zadorov and let CC post up more points between 2/3. That fixes more than just adding two players. Oh, and the size thing? Yeah, they have a big team now and the depth guys finish their checks and play a 200-foot game. Don't sweat not having a $8M+ guy at every position in your top 6. That's just silly! The Bruins are offering ice time (read it, again: ICE TIME) to the one that steps up and makes it so. How inspiring is that for players?!? And injuries happen. The depth guys they got are big and can play. (Sorry they don't all get 100 points per year.) The Bruins improved now and for the future. And don't forget to check in with BC Hockey and see how Dean is doing. Cheers!

Can we stop with the whole "I don't know about the money" crap. Meanwhile the NBA being the fraudulent money grab of a league is committing 100's of millions to individual players in contracts while no one says a word about how absolutely ridiculous that is.

Basketball and hockey is ALMOST apples to oranges....(nba has only 15 roster spots per team and is a star driven league.....and hockey has 4 offensive lines/3 defensive lines 2 goalies and a true HARD cap a team can't go over....nba has a 2nd apron that makes it severely cost prohibitive (but an owner CAN say "do it" if they have a championship roster)....great drafting & developing really gives you a leg up in hockey in building out a roster whereas in basketball, those draft picks can go toward the next star player in a trade (Rudy Gobert/Mikal Bridges) while filling out the rest with minimum contracts with good veteran players (if your roster is well constructed)...

Not filling the empty Top-6 wing slot before signing another D-man like Zadorov is hugely detrimental to this team in my opinion. Our D was not the problem in the post season, it was putting the puck in the net.

Lindholm is a second line centre. I think his cap price is about right for that. But dare I say it?! Bergeron was a second line sent centre as well. Not having offensive elite talent at centre has cost his team over the years. 70 to 80 points is not an elite centre.

Bergie was a fantastic second line center but sadly, the Bruins wasted 10 years after 2011 by not getting a centre that would put them over the top. Team should’ve had 3 cups.

@@timduhamel5760 I agree we should have had 3 cups but Bergy came close to a 60% faceoff percentage, nearly a plus 300 and 1100 overall points. I loved Krecji more than Bergy as a player but he was a 2c and didn't come close to Bergie's production. With that said you can't call Bergeron a 2c because the real blame is on the organization regularly failing at the draft while they also made mostly mediocre deadline acquisitions throughout the time Bergeron was there.

  • @timduhamel5760

Krejki was forced to play with lacklustre talent after Lucic and Horton. Bergie got to play with Pasternak and Marshand. Both 100 point wingers who drove the play on the line. Don’t get me wrong. I’m a huge Bergeron fan. But if we had a first line centre 100-120 who drove the play that was a three or 4 cup team imo. I thought the 2012 and 2013 teams were way stronger than the 2011 team. We really missed out by trading seguin! He was a true first line centre.

I'm on the fence. Debrusk is a hard sell on the contract he got but when healthy is a great player. We didn't replace him so I hope there is some cash left over after Sway signs that we can make another move. Lindholm's contract is going to bite, hopefully he doesn't have a NMC and we don't have to ride out the last 2 years of it. I lost my mind with the Ullmark move, 100% terrible. We needed at least 1 pick up defensively and got a great fit. Time will tell but I see us cruising through Toronto, possibly in 5 games as well as putting up a better fight against Florida next year.
