|| THIS EPISODE || We have one more day to spend exploring Yellowstone National Park and get to see some new features that we have never seen before.
We visit Artist Point to see the falls at the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. This is our second time visiting the falls, but loved seeing them with more water flowing and the light showing off the beautiful blue of the river.
We take a drive up to Mount Washburn to see the view. There is a hike you can take up the mountain that we will have to try next time!
One of the parts of Yellowstone that we had never seen before were the Paint Pots! Though it is smellier than the falls, it offers lots of different things to see from mud pots to blue pools to small geysers with crazy looking bacteria surrounding it like Blood Geyser. Lily put this place in her top 3 at Yellowstone! The mile hike through the woods to get there was fun, as well!
We made one more stop with the hopes of seeing Steamboat Geyser go off. No luck and we got a little wet, but we had the whole place to ourselves! 😊 The Norris Museum is a wonderful place to learn about the various featues at Yellowstone and what causes them!
We had planned on staying another day, but our generator broke, so we decided to head out early. Corey and the girls get soaked getting us water to shower before we leave Norris as there are no hookups at the campground. We stopped to dump our tanks at Madison Campground since Norris doesn’t have a dump.
This time, we headed out the West enterance of Yellowstone and are again given a double rainbow as our send off! We are blown away by the drive up the 191 following along a glacial river and through Big Sky. The incredible day ended at a Walmart with a Montana mountain view!
Stay tuned for the next episode where we check out Bozeman, Montana, for the first time and experience Bozeman Hot Springs! Be sure to like and subscribe and click on the bell icon for notifications when we release new videos!

Jess, I love how you refer to Corey as Daddy to the girls, it brings back such awesome memories of my mom and dad’s relationship with each other and with us kids. My dad pasted away 30 years ago and my mom in February of 2020. Up until the end she always referred to my Dad as Daddy to us even though he was gone and we are in our 50’s now. These videos remind me so much of my parents and our traveling as a family when I was a child. We went to Rocky Mountain National Park every summer and camped for 2 weeks. Some of the best memories my siblings and I have of our parents. Traveling with 10 kids and my parents in a station wagon and a pop-up tent camper we didn’t always agree and get along but we still talk about those days and laugh about all the silly things we did. Ranger talks, mountain hikes, campfires, star gazing and eating Oatmeal every morning because that’s all my dad could cook and he wanted to let my mom sleep in. So thank you and your family for letting us “tag along” with you on your fantastic journeys….

Was really funny. 20 years ago when we were at YNP, and after seeing the animal jams, I told the family "watch this" and to "just follow me". There was a bluff looking over a large area of plains with no animals out there. I SAFELY pulled over on side of road, and said to my wife and two boys to follow me. We go out and just looked over the bluff. I mentioned to them to "just stand here and stare off into distance". Within a minute, there were 50 cars pulled over, and over 100 folks were standing all around us staring over this bluff. Then I said to family, "come on guys, back in car" and away we drove while all stayed there trying to figure out what everybody else was staring at! :-) Great content and better videography BTW!!!!

You have just entered heaven on earth. Glacier Ntl used to be in my front yard. Those rainbows mean "God keeps His promises". And He does. There's not really a place He's made that can't blow one's mind. But Glacier/Kalispell/Whitefish/Hungry Horse and Flathead is truly the most breath taking place in the US. We had rainbows follow us out of Glacier more often than not, with the exception of winter and yes, we went to Lake Macdonald even in winter. I miss that place more each day. It was an honor to live there for 7 years. Can't wait to see what you thought of it. Smiles and blessings...

Black bears can be black. Brown, cinnamon, or blond. Check for hump, dished snout, and longer claws on Grizzly Bears versus no hump, more even snout and shorter claws on black bears.

Great info, thank you! I put a little note on the screen after I did further reading. I found that 50% of black bears are not actually black. I felt kinda silly not knowing that to begin with 🙄 oh well live and learn, thanks again for the info!

Cory, Black bears come in more colors than any other North American mammal. They can be black, brown, cinnamon, blond, blue-gray, or white. East of the Great Plains, the color black is the most common. These were the first bears early settlers saw, hence the name. The White bears known as The Kermode bear, sometimes called the spirit bear, is a subspecies of the American black bear and lives in the Central and North Coast regions of British Columbia, Canada. It is the official provincial mammal of British Columbia and symbol of Terrace, British Columbia.

The Grand Canyon is awesome! We went a couple of days before Christmas, and froze our butts (loved every minute though). Going this time of year we didn't have tons of people. Yellowstone is a place we will go see. My husband is from WY, so he would see the area all the time while living out that way. I've never seen it, and hubby promised to take me soon. The double rainbows are super cool. They're supposed to bring you good fortune.

Yeah that was a great drive! We’ve seen a few Walmart’s with similar numbers. Whitehorse in the Yukon was one and Gillette Wyoming (we were just shopping that time) comes to mind as another . Walmart’s are handy when your getting from point A to B in this case Bozeman was point B but we didn’t want to show up late to our friends house there and we needed to resupply anyway, we had been away from stores for almost 2 weeks at that point. We did end up going to the Grand Canyon, it’s not for a few episodes though.

We will be spending at least a month just outside West Yellowstone this summer. Looking forward to it. I was there last year and down loaded the Yellowstone App. and there is one for Grand Teton also. So you won't feel dumb. LOL Thank you for another great video.

That’s a great idea about the apps! I just downloaded the national parks app that they released that covers national parks and sites. I haven’t looked at it much, I wonder if it’s as detailed as the individual park apps? Again though, thank you, great idea about getting a searchable app before hand! A month will be awesome!

Glad we could help! Most parks have pretty good RV parking at the major spots, and even at spots that are not major! We’ve even explored some parks while still attached and we’re almost 60ft long. Our friends travel the country(part time) exclusively with just their class C . You got this!

I said to my husband, that you all must attract hail. Lol. But God is good, and gives you rainbows as well. As you left and said, see you later or next time. Can’t remember exactly. I said I bet most everyone that leaves there says that. It’s just too remarkable to only see once. We’ve been twice and hope to be back this summer as we just started full timing last May. You have shown us several sites we haven’t gotten to yet. We are nature and wildlife photographers, (not pro) and usually are on the hunt constantly. We need to look up from our camera lens :)

If you think that drive from West Yellowstone to Bozeman is beautiful, you should try the drive from Gardiner to Livingston out the north gate. It's called Paradise Valley for good reason. So nice to see pre-mask days again, I think we'd all forgotten what it was like.

as a commercial driver over 1000 miles a day was nothing. but now that i am retired it will be far less, on long trips. "pending" maybe only 3 - 400 miles top. and will stop were things look interesting. or i just feel like it, aka: no push to get anywhere.
