The M’s purge the roster of 2 players who struck out a lot. Eugenio Suarez was #2 in the MLB with 214 strikeouts. Teoscar Hernanadez was #3 with 211 strikeouts. Note that Julio Rodriguez was #8 with 175 strikeouts in the MLB. The M’s made a decision in the off-season to get players who can put the ball in play. There were numerous instances in 2023 where M’s would constantly swing for the fences to try to bring in RISP. It would be interesting if you could interview Brant Brown, offensive coordinator, on how he can coach players to put the ball in play.
