How much affordable housing is too much for one neighborhood?

Cincinnati's West End residents could force the city to answer that question with a discrimination complaint now being reviewed.

Woah hang on. Affordable housing or low income housing? The two aren't necessarily the same thing. How ignorant.

If I spend a lot more money to find a home that is quiet -- no barking dogs and no loud music... no one banging away on cars..I expect to have those privileges.

Nevermind how much "affordable housing" is too much for one neighborhood, How about considering how much is too much for one CITY. What if Cincinnati said "OK, we are satisfied with the current affluent to poor population in our city It's a good mix right now. We're not going to ask for any more federal money that only makes one developer rich, and then leaves us with a crime problem with people we invited in, that contribute nothing to our city." What's wrong with letting some of the wealthier cities take a turn having some HUD action?

So being the racist you are, you just assumed that all lower income people contribute nothing to the city. When there are low income people who work their butts off. Stay out in the sticks, don't live in the city. So disgusting.

"Affordable housing" meaning "Section 8 and halfway houses". You get what you vote for.

Yes, but the issue raised in the investigation is that they are only being built in one neighborhood which is causing racial segregation.

Cheaper land means more units. Hyde Park section 8 housing 3 bedroom would have to cost double of Price Hill or Other west end units. The city needs to be ready to build a new neighborhood 75 ownership 25 rent. Accountability when they let maintenance slip

@@ericthomas7474 Question, many of the Section 8 occupants are GENERATIONAL government dependents. Where does it end?

@@Bigrignohio Ending is one thing, but let's begin with basic accountability. Grass and exterior is upkeep with the neighborhood. If not, then they are to be removed. Fixing this issue won't happen overnight because folks are taught that broken homes are ok. Projects isn't just a term to describe the area, but what the government did, a project.

There are services already in the area, that will no longer be accessable if the housing is disspersed.

There are services RUNNING from such areas because of theft, violence, drug use. And you want to make it WORSE?
