I hated mirage in that movie, he was overly annoying and the writers tried way too hard to make him the most likable character, I wish mirage stayed dead. But no they had to revive his ass

Yeah he said "sure, who WOULDN'T wanna be a Prime", but he was EXTREMELY against the idea of taking the Matrix and becoming the next Prime because it would've meant losing Optimus, even though Optimus himself was telling Smokescreen to do it. He argued with Optimus to no end, then forced the Forge into Optimus' dying hand, hoping it would fix him and save his life, which it did.

Mirage felt like jazz to me

@@luisayala7226 yeah early drawings of him also had a face much more like jazz's.. with his g1 visor eyes.. im sure he was intended to be jazz but for whatever reason they couldnt use the name so they changed him to mirage

Y'know, the constant inconsistencies in his design from posters, toys, and art makes a lot more sense after seeing him f**king around with his alt-mode

When I saw the trailer, I originally thought it was Jazz because of the gray all over his vehicle form. But when I saw his sphere-shaped head, I instantly recognize him as Mirage.

And Jazz's G1 V-Mode, and Hound's holograms.

G1 Jazz was a Porsche 935 Turbo, ROTB Mirage was a Porsche 911 (964) Carrera RS 3.8. Same manufacturer, different models of car

Funny enough, when you said Mirage paid homage to 3 Autobots at once, at first I thought you were talking about how his alt mode looks like Jazz, his color scheme is like his G1 Self and his hologram powers were like Hound in the G1 Cartoon. I never caught on that the Lamborghini and (off-screen) Ferrari were a reference to G1 Sideswipe and DOTM Mirage/Dino. Good eye. 👍🏻

@@sdm47 Yeah, that’s true, and it was actually originally meant for Mirage by Bob Budianski, but the cartoon creators decided to give it to Hound instead. So Mirage got stuck with just invisibility.

@@tannerprice2018 I don't think Mirage was ever supposed to do holograms; he was just able to make himself appear to be in a different place to where he was. The name Mirage implies the way a hot road or desert can refract light, like his electro-disruptor does.

One thing I didn't like is that the F1 car that Mirage transforms into is from the year 2000, but the film takes place in 1994, and he calls the car a Ferrari when in fact it was a B.A.R.

They could've used the '94 Ferrari model instead

I liked to think that once a transformer scans a vehicle, they permanently have it in their database. Which is why mirage was able to transform into those vehicles at will. The only reason he did it was because he was being persuasive. Other others don't do that because they don't feel the need to change their vehicles every single conflict.

In the theater, the kid and his dad next to me would not stop talking the entire movie and when mirage showed up the dad was like “jazz, nice”

Mirage also turned into one of the Junior Headmaster and Godmaster armor things from Transformers Masterforce.

Mirage is never a Porche. So confusing. It belongs to Jazz. That's why I didn't watch the movie.

I feel like, while acting more like Jazz, Mirage still lived up to his name. He had his abilities from G1 along with being able to turn into any vehicle he wants, which would fit right into the type of character he is outside of the movie.

Not to mention he used G1 Hound's holograms.....

I like that mirage was kind of a break from Bumblebee being the “main” transformer. In a lot of stuff, bumblebee is the one with the human connection. This is a nice break from that, with mirage being the primary human connector

Why

Does the white garbage truck that he transforms into count as a homage to the white version of Ultra Magnus or was that not intentional

They seriously need to make a gundam movie. I have always loved how much effort they put into designing the transformers and they’ve only gotten better at it. I don’t give a fuck how they do it. But a gundam movie needs to happen. Just don’t fuck up the lore and Wokify it and I think it will be a smash hit. So many of us grew up on the popular franchise that started with the 1979s mobile suit gundam. So it would have to start with that or at least the most popular one. But I think the first one would be the most budget friendly and easy to capitalize off of with later sequels. Literally can’t fuck that up. It would be a miracle if they did and it would say a lot about the producer.

And he transformed into a garbage truck and an exo-suit. I didn't like how he had pretty much unlimited alt modes...

oh we’re calling them references instead of unoriginal copies of other characters
