I love Mashle so much, it's a series ive been following for over a year and its very close to my heart. Really sad that the manga ended but I can't wait for Hajime Komoto's next work. Mashle was his first serialized manga so I can only see it getting even better from here on.

Thank you. I feel the same about this anime. I fell in love with it immediately, I have to place it beside my other top favorites: YYH, RRK, Naruto, Jojo's, and Black Clover. I love anime with great badass characters, friendships, awesome fights, plots, and twists. But most of all, I love wholesome anime, so Mash was such a delightful character: so innocent and kind, and also really handsome and adorable. All these traits make him such a great character aside from his astonishing physical strength. For a simple anime, it is truly one of the greats for me.

first time on your channel, great commentary and im glad to find another mashle enjoyer- I'm absolutely loving this anime so far its so humorous and at the sametime has a story that doesn't make me fall asleep like watching a cutout cardboard of boruto "fighting" :D

The absolute absurdity of mashle is just crazy and I’m inlove with it

Another thing that should be mentioned is his attitude! Mashle lives in a world that denies his very eixstence and his constance attitude to ANYONE who steps up to him boils down to "I have beaten anyone! And you are not that guy, mate!" In the world that sees him as of no value he believes himself to be the Apex being and he has the power to back it up! The very first episode has Mash go "Still doing things you could do easily by hand..." and it molts who he is because he can ANYTHING others do with magic with his sheer muscle-power. Him calling his stuff "Muscle-Magic" is absoluitey on point!

After watching first 2 episode i proceeded to binge the whole manga... Its just that thrilling and enjoying to read.

Mash is what happened if Saitama had a baby with Asta.

I was skeptical going in because of how overplayed the “oh hes the only one with no power but that makes him powerful” because it gets done SO much nowadays, and from images mash looked like a buff version of Mob, but i am so happy to say i was wrong. Mash is hilarious how incompetent yet genuine he is, and his outrageous training even making the squirrels stop and give him weird looks is so funny 😂 im excited to see where it goes

It’s rare for me to sit down and watch Anime nowadays, I come from the Air Gear, Hitman Reborn era (90’s kid) and read manga / manwha as they are further ahead… but this shonen is gold. I haven’t wanted to sit down for an anime since Shokugeki or JJK. Had me tearing up, it’s basically Harry Potter meets One Punch Man. Came here just for this!! 🔥😮‍💨

I don't really agree with your luffy point since his devil fruit while being one of the strongest; is absolute trash in the beginning and only good when you push your creativity and imagination with it, all it does is make you rubber at first and awakening it means you have to push yourself to near death countless times for years on years till you can have a sliver of a chance of really getting its full potential in truth luffy with the fruit had a pretty crappy chance compared to his brothers when they didn't have devil fruits. its just really disingenuous to compare him here really when the biggest thing and ability he has is his ability to draw others to be his allies and his haki without that he would have been beaten a long time ago; his devil fruit never really gave him enough of an edge to really call it something good until the awakening/

I sorta enjoyed mashle, but I just wish they put depth into any of the characters besides just using their trope to define them. I don't know what show most people were watching but like a lot of the jokes are just so basic and bland it rivals one pieces least funny jokes. I thought the show would be way cooler after this review but when I watched it, all I felt was how generic this show was. The show really didnt use its tropes to its benefits but just played the trope straight.

this is probably a nice new manga / anime, I've yet to check it out. but talking about plot and all... the way you put it, it's pretty much black clover 2.0 yea? so how was it burying the shonen genre again? also, you might be talking too early, yes there's something special about luffy, naruto, etc. but not at the start, not until a long time do fans find out and I have a feeling that it would be the same for this one.

Mash Burnedead is the best autism rep outside of Lizzy from Inside Job. He does, in a sense, fall on the toxic stereotype in fiction of autism either being a curse or a superpower, but the show uses it quite tastefully, in my opinion. Mash completely shitting on magic and breaking the laws of physics is obviously absurd, but it's a style of absurd that is, by design, different from the norm of the rest of the show's world. It does a great job in showing the differences in the neurodivergent and neurotypical experience, albeit exaggerated and distorted, and all of Mash's key traits are key indicators of autism. Fitness is his special interest. Shucream is his safefood / samefood. He has a hard time emoting. He reads everything in a matter-of-fact way. His voice has very little variation. He has a very strong sense of justice. I was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD when i was in grade school, same with my SO, and both of us see ourselves in Mash to an almost uncanny degree. The show may not explicitly state he has Autism, but if the autistic community can stand and prop up Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy, then they can definitely to the same for our bowlcut Saitama.

I think on the final battle he should get actual fucking magic and then become the most OP person there by far

Is the story over? Maybe if it's not over yet they'll reveal he has some crazy superpower that justifies his strength and that he can keep using to be much stronger. Like how Luffy was supposed to have a run of the mill average devil fruit, but in the end turned out to have the strongest fruit. I'd be disappointed if that happened in mashle.

Mash wants/needs to be the Divine Visionary and has some spoilers to his powers…

Even if Asta from Black Clover has anti-magic with him, it still isn't considered actual magic, obviously and he is also in a world full of wizards like Mash, making him just a bit like Mash and different from other Shonen characters, though their personalities are very different with Asta taking on the loud and dumb trope of these types of Anime.

I really think One punch man its the real "i kick all the shonens ass" more than Mashle.. i mean, Mashle its not bad, but dudes, One punch man its on another level...

Mashle has such cookie cutter characters with as much depth as a plate. The show sacrifices good character writing and plot for comedy, but the comedy isn't much greater than what you can find in many other shonen anyways. I fail to see how mashle is better than so many shonen like HxH, OPM, Mob Psycho 100, Naruto, One Piece, FMA:B, Bleach, JJK, etc... Mashle definitely does not bury the shonen genre, it's absurdly unoriginal. So many other series are just... better. It's more than 100 chapters in and we've barely seen any good character development for side characters, and the story is average at best, uninteresting at worst. It's a decent gag show imo but just good at best, not much more than that. It's a bit refreshing but the depth of everything is just that of a puddle, really. In my opinion, the show is just mediocre and generic. My rating: 6.5/10, if you like Mashle, go check out OPM which executes most of what Mashle does but better.
