The violet snails are totally stunning! Don't have them here in TX. Rams Heads are super rare; I've only ever found 3. You lucky duck! The sea beans are called Sea Hearts & originate from gigantic(up to 8 feet long!)bean-pods of the Monkey Ladder vine that are entwined through canopies of trees in rain-forests all over the world. From Vikings to Columbus & to modern sailors, sea-farers throughout the centuries thought the Sea Heart to be a conveyor of good luck & protection as well as a symbol of love & friendship, and found ways to polish & embellish these rare gems to make jewelry & talismans for themselves & those they held dear. They're not too hard to find out here in TX, but not super plentiful either. Thanks for sharing your treasures with us.These were especially awesome!

G'day Roxy 👋🏻🐌 Huh, for some reason, I thought these Violet Sea Snails did turn up in Texas, but very rarely?? They should be world wide, though I think the Ram's Horns can only wash up in certain places around the world 🤔 Also, wow, the Monkey Ladder vine?!! That's super cool!! I was sent a Sea Heart, but I wasn't sure if that's what I found this time; the Sea Heart was a maroon colour, and the ones today were dark brown, so I wasn't really to call them a Sea Heart 😲 it's amazing to hear how they were decorated and used historically! Most of all, I'm glad that you've found a few for yourself too 😄 Thank you so, so much for watching the adventure today 🥰

G'day Trudy 👋🏻💖 Oh my, yes, sunscreen is so important with the super high UVs that we have here!! It's already up to level 10 (anything about level 4 needs sun protection). Also, yes, it's a Magpie 😄 they are a very common bird around here, and are often upsetting cyclists when they swoop them during the start of spring 😅 good thing I don't ride a bike! As for the shells, I really though getting maybe 20-40 of each would be a good day... This really blew out my expectations 🤣 Thank you so much for coming to watch this unusual adventure 🥰

Wait, really, you think I have three different types of sea beans?? I thought it might have been one species, and the small one could've been another. Sandpaper for them, I'll give it a shot, or I might be able to use my metal pick to gentle scrape it too. Oh my goodness Pam, I just read the next part about your mom 😨 that's awful!!! Bonjour Maddie - What a fantastic harvest of microshells and how gorgeous will they look in a pretty jar! G'day Line 👋🏻💖 The numbers at the end certainly shocked me; I was expecting so, so much less... I nearly didn't film anything because I thought I might come away empty handed! They will look gorgeous in a nice glass jar, I think 🐌💜 Also, I'm not really sure why so many washed up like this... They live on the ocean's surface, so maybe a change in the wind and water currents made them come to land. The purple snails were beached on an extra high high tide during the last full moon, and they didn't get swept back out again, I guess? I don't remember a storm, or at least no storms that reached the coast lines around me, but I think these rams horns washed up far to the north by the thousands too, so maybe there was a storm further out to sea. The temperature, if anything, has risen here for spring, which could be a factor. I digress 😆 Thank you so much for watching the different kind of adventure today 🥰
