I was going to say Horvath as far as we know is alive. Given our last contact with him is the audio log he leaves for chief at the end of the rubicon protocol. Kovan from the same book is alive as well. Both as of the event of infinites campaign are unaccounted for but they're not actively marked kia on any wiki and just because we haven't heard from them doesn't mean they are dead.

(Note that there was cut audio logs confirming the deaths of Horvath, Kovan and Vettel but Rubicon Protocol proves that the cut logs aren't canon.)

Most of the Spartans Branch Spartans were not on the Infinity at the time. Running operations against Created and setting up small hidden bases caused them to leave a significant amount of personnel all around. Then the operation on Reach prior to the game had them leave many Spartans and ODSTs behind to flee from the Created. We know that most of Gamma Company is still active along with an unknown number of Headhunters. Also Rosenda, Olivia and Ash.

If memory serves, most of Gamma became either S-IV's or went on to other positions. There was no longer a need for suicide missions after the war, and thus no need to keep Gamma together. Given the political risk if the S-III project was uncovered, it wouldn't surprise me if the Gamma S-IV's were kept separate from the other Spartans. Or, judging them to be emotionally unstable and difficult to conceal, ONI simply killed most of them. I honestly wouldn't be surprised. They were always meant to be expendable, after all.

@admiralfishface8750 Halopedia, mostly, plus some deduction. Jun (an S-III) commands the Spartan branch, so he'd know better than anyone how to handle Gamma Company. Bear in mind that in 2552, those Spartans are still children. Even in 2558, the oldest would be only nineteen. The UNSC would have to handle them extremely carefully.

@@Cailus3542 Many were rolled into the Spartan branch and serve alongside the IV's but some are still Navy like how Blue Team declined to joined them but at this point they are kind of an open secret and still considered III's. Chief mentioned he ran some Wargames with them prior to Infinite.

@@Cailus3542 They're still Spartan 3s, but yes, those of Gamma Company who managed to survive were folded in with the 4s. Remember the number simply refers to their class. SPartan 2s were childeren taken from their families, 3s were orphans of the war recruited to be made Spartans often with a desire for revenge on the COvenant, and the 4s are basicaly just mass producable SPartans often recruited from the best of other military branches as adults.

Jun is still alive, somewhere there’s a conversation between him and someone anonymous after the destruction of Laconia station. I believe there was two other training stations as well

Actually Spartan Horvath seems to still be alive. Last we heard of him was from a recording two days prior to Chief's recovery and we never find his body.

You forgot to mention Laconia’s sister stations who haven’t been confirmed destroyed. Naxos and Virgo stations who each had their own compliment of Spartan-IV’s.

7:25 Thomas Horvath wasn't found KIA by the Master Chief. Unless you know something I don't? Last I understood, Horvath was on another section of Zeta entirely to the events occurring in Halo Infinite. Nina Kovan's status is also indiscriminate, as intended by Kelly Gay. 343i originally planned to kill them via audio logs, but she requested they be pulled so she could expand on their fates. My information could be outdated, but I'd be interested in knowing where their fates are learned.

I don't know what Installation was smoking when he said Horvath was dead. Everyone knows he isn't. And last we heard of Kovan, Bender and Dimik (both marines not spartans), they were going to stage an all-in assault the Tower. By the time the Chief gets to the tower....well, either their attack didn't go so well, or they hadn't yet done it as of the time of the Infinite campaign - in which case they are still alive and are aware the Chief is back. 343 is sitting on a G O L D M I N E of campaign content that they simply aren't willing to pay people to develop. Grinding out those cheap seasonal battlepasses seems more what they care about. Shame.

Also the Alpha 9 squad had five members after Gretchen joined Buck, Romeo, Mickey (that traitorous bastard) and Dutch and also there’s Tom-B292 and Lucy-B091 at Trevelyan on Onyx and Jun-A266 who’s believed to have survived Laconia Station. And don’t forget Ferret team, Olivia-G291 and Ash-G099 on the Ark.

Most likely Palmer is also still alive. Her VA Jennifer Hale confirmed that she recorded for Palmer for Infinite, but we never hear her in the game. I imagine Palmer, Lasky, Halsey, and the others are for either an expansion or sequel.

Sadly, no campaign DLC, damn you 343, but still, there’s most likely hundreds if not thousands of Spartans, since multiplayer is canon, and always has been in some way, there’s Spartans undergoing training as Infinite is taking place. If we’re talking Spartan II’s, then I’ve got nothing, I only know that Blue and Red team are alive, and that’s it.

i thought kurt spartan 051 died detonating some type of bomb or nuke on a covenant war ship as 2 hunters stood beside him against a sanghelil zealot while he bought enough time to let the other spartans retreat to safety while he detonated the bomb

Anyone else read Rubicon Protocol? I think a survival game as a Spartan IV after crash landing from Infinity would be sweet. A customizable Spartan IV searching and rescuing survivors while performing Guerilla warfare with the Banished and having to loot crash sites and dead bodies for ammo, weapons, armor, mods, etc. would be an awesome survival game. At the end, you team up with Chief

I believe the ferret team with Lopez has 3 Spartan 3 gammas. One died (MIA) I believe it was mark. The other 2 (Olivia and Ash) r alive. Also if I’m not mistaken there is omega team.(Leon,Robert and august) then there’s the random Spartan 3s that have no company or r head hunters( hazel, Kevin, rosenda, Lucy ,thom, Owen and Spartan G059) then all the Cat-2 personnel that we have no ideal about but where nvr confirmed to be KIA.

Omega team are stuck in cryo on the Spirit i believe. And im pretty sure Rosenda was on Reach when It fell, cause she was Émile's replacement for if they were facing off against Insurrectionists.

I think there’s still plenty of Spartans left up to the 1000s or 1500 or even 2000 the Spartans on infinity were only a fraction of them compared to the ones out in the galaxy

Only two classes of Spartan-IV have been confirmed both numbering at about 350. No classes were confirmed after the death of captain O’day in new blood. The destruction of the infinity and Laconia station(I think that’s how it’s spelled) should account for most of them

Isn't the story of the Infinite multiplayer set after the campaign? We're supposedly in a spartan academy so there's at least 24 spartans there (enough to fill up one BTB lobby) plus agryna. (My point being that it being an academy implies to me thet they're making new Spartans, not just having 7 randos hanging out with agryna)

I believe the numbers for Spartan IIs and IIIs remained mostly the same. I feel like 343 wouldn't do another black team situation and kill off those we love so simply again. As for the 4s, I'm hopeful because in bad blood, it looks like the spartans were already leaving the station before it was destroyed, and we know Jun made it off. Then there were 2 other stations Naxos and Virgo, the academy, Anvil stations where spartans and elites trained, probably the important groups like majestic and crimson and hopefully other survivors.

To just mince it all to up the stakes would be lame. Naw, I imagine that with a whole branch but shaky UNSC, there's probably hundreds scattered around.

Of the S-IIs, there is at least Maria, all of the original Blue Team sans Sam, Red Team, Jai, Naomi, Leon, Robert, August, Adriana, and Michael. And this is all the S-IIs who managed to successfully undergo augmentation. There's a handful that were never clarified and then there's Soren, Serin, Kirk, Musa, Cassandra, and Fhajad who are either serving in some different capacity or just aren't in combat at all. I might've missed a few throughout this list. In total, there are at least 20 of the original 150 chosen for the program that are still alive. Of the S-IIIs, they had a much higher mortality rate due to how the program was made specifically to make a branch of much more expendable Spartans compared to their S-II counterparts. Operation: PROMETHEUS, Operation: TORPEDO, and the Fall of Reach was largely responsible for the deaths of the first two companies. To my knowledge, there's Jun, Lucy, Tom, Rosenda, and Hazel from Alpha and Beta companies. I don't know enough about Gamma Company as they've largely flown under 343i's radar, as are Delta Company and the Headhunters are an unknown. I assume even under the pressure of the Created and the Banished, the S-IVs still see active recruitment because of how the program works. Though they still make up a minority of the total UNSC ground infantry, I still assume they're in the multiple hundreds.

​@@pugwash1the ferrets were the survivors of the last group of gamma's that went for extra training as they were supposedly the best of gamma company (if I recall correctly, it's been a while since I read ghosts of onyx). There's still about 300 of them that went through training and augmentation that we haven't heard from since. Last time they were mentioned was in last light with ONI basically just saying they needed to be careful with them because of their unique augmentations. It's implied that they wanted to retire those spartans for fear that they would be too unstable, however the galaxy was a much more peaceful place at the time. With the created uprising and rising banished threat perhaps now is a better time than ever to get some of the best spartans (according to Kurt-051) back on the front lines. It was also confirmed that they had the next batch of 3s ready for training before onyx became unavailable. We have not seen them mentioned anywhere else since. It's possible that with both the training facility and the instructor gone that Delta company was cancelled but it's also quite possible they were trained elsewhere, we simply don't know. There could be around 600 spartan IIIs still kicking across the galaxy that we just haven't seen yet.

@@Rader2A there was only about two months between kurt-051s death and the first spartan 4s. Had Kurt not died the 3s would have still been training at the same time as the 4s so it's still possible they chose another location and instructor for Delta company despite the unavailability of Onyx and Kurt-051

In the Saturn Devouring His Son short story 343 just released we know of Fireteam Leviathan who all perished to the flood at Site 22. It would be safe to say there are a few spartan fireteams floating around the UNSC

We don’t know for sure how many Spartans confirmed are at the academy but considering overall language describing the academy, the simulation total for BTB being 24, the Spartans you see in the background in customization menus and on the pelican in the intro, the Spartans in the multiplayer trailer, there has to be a substantial amount. Since multiplayer takes place after the campaign with chief, it’s been my opinion the academy Spartans (you) should be graduating from training and being sent out on actual operations canonically, maybe including a reworked version of the original campaign map and other locations

Fantastic video once again man. Keep up the great work! To the best of my recollection: 4 additional Spart III's: Lucy-B091 and Tom-B292 - Still on Onyx as far as we are aware. Ash-G099 and Olivia-G291 - Still in active service as Ferrets. 2 additional Spartan IV's: Thomas Hovath - Actively searching for survivors of the Infinity shortly prior to the Chief's thawing. Nina Kovan - Like Hovath, no confirmation of KIA although what they're doing is more nebulous.

In a way, Chief is one of the last 'True' spartans, the one the propaganda machine 'loves' to show off. And in regards to his story, yeah, easy enough to see. He's probably the reason why so many sought to become Spartan 4's, to get even a fraction of what he did, because damn it, Humanity needed a win like that. But seeing so many fall, even Project Orions? Once again, we are seeing Chief being that 'last spartan standing' whether we like it or not. Not because everyone else is weak or pathetic etc, even Spartan 4's can absolutely ruin anyone's day. It's just that Chief somehow keeps on trucking along, for good or ill. It'll be a sad day when chief is finally marked as MIA, either due to retirement.. Or him finally following along in his brothers and sisters footsteps. Even if there isn't too many spartans left, they'll somehow return, maybe not as insane as we see for what the Spartan 3's and 4's were, but still as a bastion for what Humanity could achieve and still achieve. I just hope that when it comes to Chief's final mission, it's the bang that he deserves.

I'd hate to see Chief die. However if there were ever to be a replacement, it should've been Noble 6... I actually felt that Team Noble should've been KIA on paper only but still around doing the missions that nobody could. Or want. Let Chief be the hero. But when you need clandestine things done. You have noble. Such a missed opportunity 😅

There's no way, after not only 4 days hard fighting, with gear and weapons running low, and with the injuries that he sustained by the time we all got that infamous 'survive' section.. However, there's other potential characters that could take the torch. Jerome? Fred? Who knows? Maybe it'll be 'our' spartan who takes that torch.

I would say that all the spartan 2s in the their original green Mjolnir armor are the "true Spartans" due to them being known and shown to the be savior of humanity. And to be honest the old spartan 2 mjolnir is the face of halo. I hate how the rest of blue team and the spartan 4s look in Halo 4/5. This is why I like red team from Halo wars because they still keep that original spartan 2 look due to their old armor.

Which is impressive in that while stuck with not only heavily outdated gear (Mk 4 without shields), but that they had by the time of Halo Wars 1, just recently been brought from whatever fuckery the augmentations had done to their bodies to being back to looking like humans. (I could also be heavily wrong on this, but the concept of 3 Spartan 2s who were washouts effectively and absolutely still kicking ass? God damn that's awesome) I don't mind to a degree certain Halo 4/5 spartan armor designs, especially in the context of both further experiments of the armor platform itself, but as mass production quality tiers of armor. That being said.. There has never been more stinkers of armor than in Halo 5 especially. I also kinda dislike and sorta like Halo 5's rendition of Blue Team's armor.. To a degree. As for Mk V and Mk VI being the face of the way people see Spartans? That's fair and a very good point. It's why Chief stands out the way he does, as an excellent propaganda tool, and as a beacon of hope. And if anything, we could look at halo CE to 3 to be the UNSC 'propaganda' sorta things, on why the covenant war went the way it did.

7:29 Correction: It was Sorel, not Horvath that was found by Chief. Horvath could still be out there.

Two that were missed are Ash and Olivia, two Spartan IIIs from Gamma Company. Last we saw, they were on the Ark and had just linked up with the Spirit of Fire. Tom and Lucy of Spartan III Beta company are also still alive, having been inside the Onyx shield world when the created conflict happened.

I think Tom and Lucy had to have, escaped because in the book Halsey was there and Halsey obviously got out some how.

As far as I'm aware, these are the other Spartans that should still be active that weren't mentioned. Spartan 2's: Spartan Leon 011 (Omega Team) Spartan Robert 025 (Omega Team) Spartan August 099 (Omega Team) Spartan Maria 062 (Retired) Spartan Osman 019 (Head of ONI)(Sequestered away along with Hood by BB during Created uprising). Spartan 3's: Spartan Hazel A302 (ONI) Spartan Lucy B091 (Currently locked in Onyx Shield World) Spartan Tom B292 (Currently locked in Onyx Shield World) Spartan Owen B096 (ONI) Spartan Oliva G291 (Currently on the Ark) Spartan Ash G099 (Currently on the Ark) I always thought it was weird that there would have been any Spartans on the station when it blew up. When Buck and company broke Mickey out of the prison there, Buck communicated to spartan Junn that Leonidas was compromised. I would expect him to evac everyone on that station before it blew up. (This is mentioned in the Novel Bad Blood).

Don't forget Spartan Jun A266, the only remaining member of Noble Team. Though he's now Chief of Staff of Spartan Operations, so technically not a Spartan but also technically still a Spartan? There is also some dialogue which hints that he survived the destruction of the training facility and was making plans for a continuation of operations at the Avery J. Johnson Academy of Military Science, so he's most likely one of the instructors in the Infinite Multiplayer Tutorial.

In some way, I love the fact that there are few spartan left, and the fact that we are part of the few that are still active, because it means that humanity has to use something else to fight than just super soldiers. Like : ODST’s, more advanced gear for marines… But it also means that we could be in the same team as chief !

This was actually really good i didnt think id he interested but i thoroughly enjoyed that and the fact that there's only a couple dozen spartans left is crazy itd be great if they gave us a odst game thats genuinely scary and bleak

I don't care if they killed Locke (in fact I like that idea), but if they killed Blue team or Buck that sucks

Effectively an intentional Chief replacement without knowing what they were replacing,showing a complete lack of respect for the property they were supposed to be the stewards of.

the fact in 2 short stories now, spartans have been killed off with such ease. one being black team and the other being spartans who lost to the flood and infected is so cheap imo. spartans are known to mostly be tough soldiers and never die to the flood. if they wanted to kill off spartans to the flood, they shouldve gave them far more significance and a fighting chance to survive.

Something to note too is by canon, confirmed by 343 themselves, that your multiplayer spartan in Infinite is is either a spartan 2,3, or 4 based on whichever you chose them to be. By canon I chose my spartan to be a spartan 2, so Masterchief is not the last spartan 2, there are as many spartan 2,3 and 4’s as there are as people who identify as them. *The more you know*

Does Serin-019 count? She washed out fairly early and was rerouted to officer training around the time the other Spartan-II candidates were undergoing their skeletal enhancements. She was in charge of ONI, but is currently in hiding.

I believe 343 canonized i love bees so we actually have a few confirmed spartan 1s As for confirmed still living spartans there are additionally 2 spartan 3s from gamma company who are currently in active service aboard the spirit of fire that followed the keepers of one freedom to the ark in the events of shadows of reach. There were originally 3 spartans in their team but 1 was killed by a prelate who is still present on the ark

Spartans Kovan and Horvath are MIA on zeta halo, with Kovan having to ditch her armor due to damage and fighting the Banished in small “hit-and-run” operations. While Horvath was last seen in a mountainous area wounded. I think it would be cool to see one if not both of these Spartans make a physical appearance in a future campaign assisting the Chief.

Don't forget Horvath is still alive in the last audio log, which was recorded ~5 days before Infinite starts! As well as Ash and Olivia are on the Ark with Red Team now after Divine Wind Also, were some Spartan IV's not trapped on Reach after Shadows of Reach?

I'd love to see footage of all the cosplays from the recent convention, I wasn't able to attend. I saw my first halo related cosplayer this past April at Sakura Con in Seattle, and that was an ODST. That was also my first attendance of a convention. Sharing knowledge and construction techniques is how we cosplayers make our costumes better.

You forgot one spartan that as far as I'm aware wasn't killed in a book nor off screen, and they would be Noble 3/A266/Jun, you did not mention how he was the only survivor of Noble team and escorted Halsey off planet and he avoided sharing the same fate as the rest. On a unrelated note I noticed you didn't mention that Linda was revitialized and is the tan colored spartan on Blue team in Halo 5

I haven't yet watched the whole video, but seeing as you said you wouldn't be covering this, I decided to do my own little analysis. How many Spartans have there ever been (at least in the existing lore, as more may be made in the series' future)? I would say around 1300 to 2000. A very small amount of Orions. 75 S-IIs if you count them as soon as they are conscripted, probably around 35-45 if you count them when they get the armor as being true Spartans. 930 confirmed S-IIIs, a potential 300-ish more with Delta Company, but I don't know if they ever went through training as the events of Ghosts of Onyx happened while their trainers were getting the training grounds ready for their arrival. They may have been returned to the normal human population (pure speculation from me). A few hundred S-IVs, probably 400-800 (the number is not listed in lore as far as I'm aware). This obviously isn't an accurate number, but it is as close as I can get with what I know. I don't know everything about the subject, but I definitely would have heard of it if a major amount of Spartans existed, so I feel comfortable with the 1300-2000 figure.

I’m still hoping that the remaining members of Noble team (Jun and Rosenda) survived the created conflict simply because it would open the possibility of a new noble team being formed with maybe Lucy and Tom of Beta company.

The threes have arguably superior augmentations, and definitely superior training. During the war, they had inferior equipment and inferior experience, but both of those have been rectified by 2560. The threes are what the Spartans were always meant to be.

I'd say two's and threes. Threes at least uphold the image of what's expected of a Spartan. Fours... Maybe a select few, unfortunately. They just aren't as interesting by comparison.

Fireteam Omega from Halo Wars 2

ok in books and lore that I've seen we know there used to be a facility to train Spartans in space destroyed by AI loyal to Cortana. Then there's the multiplayer where its spartan training. Safe to say there are dozens of Spartans running around. Now if we limit it to gen 1-3. 20 or so max because new Spartans are gen 4 or 5 therefore Spartans are still being trained and created.

You forget about Emile? He got off reach on the pillar of autumn too. Noble six hands cortana to him in the back of the pelican

I seem to recall Spartan Tomas Horvath of Fireteam Intrepid is still alive at the end of “Rubicon Protocol”, and possibly one other.

The Spartan killers actually just stripped Locke of his armor and let him run. You can hear a grunt talking about him at some point in the game, I can't remember when lmao

So they basically have close to the same numbers of Spartans they had when they only had the Spartan 2s

Sorel was found KIA not horvath whilst being transported to another part of the ring due to the ring being damaged and randomly transporting him. and Kovan is also currently alive on the ring with the survivors of the reverie

Furthermore, among the members of the ferret team, you'll also discover the characters Olivia and Mark are still around as well.

Jun also survived the fall of reach, he took Cortana from Six and went aboard the pillar of autumn via pelican

Last I checked, Kovan and Horvath were still alive as of the end of The Rubicon Protocol. Unless there was an update about their status elsewhere

I would like to note that Jerome and Red Team didn't actually die but their bodies did still reject augmentations so they did get messed up. Due to them not..dying they were able to be rehabilitated, take the augmentations again and be released into active duty roughly the same time as Master Chief. Although some sources vary there are those that say that Jerome and Red Team were also on Reach but got off some time beofre its fall. As well as Omega Team who is also on the Spirit of Fire is alive so yeah there is that.

Blue Team are still MIA but realistically speaking I think it's safe to assume they're active somewhere. We've still got Red Team aboard the Spirit of Fire and Grey Team was recently recovered too IIRC. On the Spartan 3 side we have Tom and Lucy helping out CPO Mendez on Trevelyan (formerly known as Onyx) and the Gamma Company Ferret team who joined Veta Lopez. Mark was sadly killed in Action by a augmented Prophet.

For the IV's I would expect their to be atleast 1,015 active operatives at the bare minimum assuming that they continued training the same number of spartans as the initial starting class of 145 candidates in 2553 at Laconia consecutively for each year leading up to the Created Conflict. Side Note: Notice how I said "Bare Minimum". The reasoning for that is the following below. 1) Jun A266 the Chief of Staff and Head Recruiter for the program stated in Bad Blood that thanks to the success of the Spartan IV class of 2553 - that they were able to acquire more funding to train even larger Spartan IV classes at Laconia compared to the initial 145 of the first class. 2) Aside from Laconia, the Spartan Operations Branch also had Sister training stations Virgo and Naxos which where devoted to the training of new Spartan IV Candidates. 3) Then their are the satellite Spartan training facilities such as the John Avery Johnson Academy of Military Science. That said; assuming the station Virgo and Naxos went online in 2555 as their is no mention of them by Buck in halo New Blood in 2554, then we can assume that their may very well be a minimum of 2,465 active spartan IVs assuming each of them trained the same class size of 145 candidates as the initial class of 2553 for every year post activation leading up to the created conflict.

from the most recent halo short story, it seems that 4 spartans were still active persumably during the events of zeta halo although they succumed to the flood and the ship which the flood boarded with an infected spartan could potentially have more and so far, nothing is to say if there are more spartans and if they live or die as we still need a continuation of the story to get the answer. the other one i can think of is the UNSC training grounds which was seen throughout the start of new seasons, in the tutorial and the multiplayer map. spartans are persumed to be training there before it gets whatever happened to it and i dont think any spartans had died either from some invasion/ attack. then if u consider the lore of the multiplayer maps amd the fact u play as a customisable made spartan in a multiplayer lobby would suggest at least 1 spartan has gone to these locations during zeta halo however they could all be different spartans, be multiple spartans and nothing states from the knowledge ive gathered that any of these were alive or dead either.

You don't just need the Chief but also humanity being too stubborn to die.

I just have to say, the music in the Halo games is incredible!!

Spartan Locke and Palmer are still unaccounted for. They were both on Zera Halo and Hyperius took Locke's helmet as a battle trophy, but its implied that it went down similar to how Atriox thought he killed Chief, but managed to survive.

I really hope that atleast the part of the live story that one of the spartans you see return is a member of fireteam crimison is canon cause it’s nice to know our halo 4 multiplayer spartans are possibly still alive, also I hope we see members of fireteam majestic again aswell, oh and the odst squad too

Fun fact about infinite, in one way odsts do show up. When cheif is first in the pelicans and they scan iff tags they shows different icons on the tags before showing deceased, some of them had helljumper symbols which meant they were dead odsts 9:09

Ash-G099 and Olivia-G291 were both alive in 2559 (Infinite takes place in 2560) so they are still out there but on the Ark. Also Tom-B292 and Lucy-B091 were both relatively safe on the shield world of Trevelyan (Onyx) in 2558 and were out of the reach of Cortana at that time so should be considered still active.

22 vs. Billions of bugs, apes, methane addicts, weird chickens, and split jaws. That sounds like a fair fight.

I already saw somebody mention this but they talked about other teams and Spartans as well, so I wanted to focus on this one team. Fireteam omega is confirmed to still be alive and in active service as of halo wars 2. Since there has been no followup or additional comments, I think it would be safe to assume they are still alive and active until someone confirms the contrary

Just checked online, idk if anyone mentioned it but apparently if you are wearing the skull that gives extra dialogue, the brute with locke’s armor will reveal that he didn’t kill Locke, just sent him packing as a warning after defeating him. So apparently there’s a good chance Locke is alive.

The question should be how many spartans there was and then how many are still active?

I just realized for the first time that if you look closely at all of the IFF tags at 6:19, you can see the different branches/units all of the KIA were associated with. I see Marines, ONI, ODSTs, so many. Insane detail that I wish carried forward in the game. When you take back the Banished jail and Joyeuse says that there's one more human being heavily guarded, I was so ready for it to be an ODST, ONI agent, or character from the prior games. Shadows of Reach and Rubicon Protocol and the audio logs confirm that the older characters are all still aboard the Infinity (Lasky, Palmer, Dare, Blue Team, Locke, Lt. Murphy). Just so much robbed potential, man :( I feel like it really wouldn't be hard to add new things and new encounters to the campaign's play space, or create a bunch of smaller forged officially supported ones with some lore, dialogue, and quickly made MoCap cutscenes. I know it is a lot of work - not trying to downplay that at all, but just AGH, ya know?

@sa-amirel-hayeed699 I'm a radical believer that The Weapon's name should be Joyeuse and not Cortana 2.0 or something dumb. Until 343i confirms in the canon that her name is Cortana, I'm calling her Joyeuse because of the historical legends surrounding Cortana, Roland, Joyeuse, and Durendal. Plus I think Joyeuse or "Joy" would roll off the tongue well and fit her personality perfectly. This isn't a new theory either - lots of other people are hoping for it, despite how pointless it may be

I could be dead wrong but fireteam omega is presumably still active, they were on Arcadia in halo wars 1 and I don’t know what the deal is with them

As far as I'm aware, Noble team were all Spartans 3's, and all, besides Jun-A266, died on Reach. As far as I was aware, Jun was still alive, I thin k he was tasked with training Spartan 4's, not sure where, but she should still be alive.

Two Spartan 4s and one Spartan 3 were mentioned in the Halo book Fractures, all three are alive and active. Also Omega team from halo wars and halo wars 2 dlc might exist

Well, as I understood, i might be wrong, Jun, Noble 3, is training new spartans on the Infinite training school (i do not remember the name), or a dialogue on training said something like that.

June(Noble 3) made it off Reach and is a recruitor for the Spartan 4 program, the entire Gamma Company of Spartan 3s are all in cryo, so while they aren't in active duty, they are still alive and are found and fielded sever years later, bringing the total number of Spartan 3s left up to 312

Well. Add Project Freelancer in the mix since they Coexist with UNSC. So- Carolina and Wash are Active/Rogue, and there are 33 more agents that are considered MIA for the sole reason that they've never had screentime, the Triplets aren't considered dead they're MIA even though they were forgotten, but they still count. Technically speaking 5 Agents are still alive, but 33 are MIA, take away the ones from Temples room, so that leaves you off with 22-25 agents that are actually MIA and probably are living normal lives after the project got shut down.

Most of S-III Gamma company should still be serving so that’s an additional roughly 300

To be honest there is another group that you did forget that works alongside red team and that would be called Omega team that was technically serviced by at least 7 to 8 other Spartans in reality there was about 10 Spartans and total on Spirit of Fire only three were actively being used while the others were more likely dealing with other situations on the ship to be honest a lot of people do actually forget about fireteam Omega team

Jun of noble team was confirmed to be aboard the station that exploded woth the 70 something spartans. A lore snippet in the halo infinite's menu confirmed him to have survived the explosion.
