I am pretty happy with this harvest! Hows your harvesting going? Want the longer uncut version of the video (with more counting 😬)? 👉 kzread.info/dash/bejne/aqOcxs-Knq6ThLQ.html
That's a savage harvest Shaun, well done man.

Thank you mate!
Hah, you having to relocate around to room in order to harvest all of the pods is telling 😂
I think I've got about 30 pods on my monster attempt 😂 amazing plant & harvest Shaun
Can't wait for the sauce video. Your channel is so inspiring, I've started growing my own plants and making sauces. Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for the kind words! 🙏That's the kind of inspiration I hope to spread.
Great harvest! Looks like you got a ton of peppers!
Very impressive amount of peppers from the plant!
Nice harvest - our plant is definitely slowing down now that the weather has turned cold - last harvest will likely be the next one so we'll see where we end up in total!

Thank you! The weather here is still a little undecided! Going to be interesting to see when the first frosts arrive!
Currently worrying about whether my Sugar Rush Stripeys are going to ripen. I've havested quite a few and made some amazing chilli jam. About 80 percent are yellow though and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I've harvested a lot of chillis already this year thanks to your advice, processed them into sauces, and pickled them using your recipes. I've also a lot in the freezer and I'm about to use my new dehydrator but I so want the Sugar rush to fully ripen. If not I'm going to see what I can do with them in their yellow state :D
Just finished my first fermented hot sauce and hot pepper flakes from my Thai chili plant! It is delicious and I'm enjoying learning from you and Pepper Geek!
That's an insane plant
sweet harvest

Wow thats a ton of pods. The plant looks awesome! Thanks so much for sharing. I love it! V/R Shane
I started later than I would have liked, and was not as serious about it compared to you and Pepper Geek, but did grow 3 Dorset Nagas this year. Differences -- mine were in-ground, not containers; and only one of them was in the sunny allotment bed and that got in-ground later than the other two. Totals so far -- the sunny allottment ripened about 60 pods (a couple dozen more not ripe yet), my very fertile but half-shade Old Garden ripened just 2 (out of many dozens coming), and the third one, in my half-shade, less fertile New Garden does not even have any pods and it is too late to try. The next question is what to do with them. I'd prefer to ferment something not quite so hot, so I'm dehydrating 51 of the pods (mostly from the sunny allotment) to be ground into powder. I did this with Ghost peppers twice before, but the Dorset Nagas have a rather pungent, acrid smell even at the cutting stage, as well as during dehydrating, so I have to do that part in the garage. Do Dorset Naga have Fatalii in their ancestry?
I unfortunately decided to grow over 100 chillies probably 30 different types from seed early 2023 with heat mats and decent full spectrum LEDs and also expecting the summer to be like 2022 and my plants are small and minimal growth but I do have around 40 plus pods. I am not moaning but it is frustrating in England's climate.
Nice pull Shaun! Who’s idea was this counting nonsense again?! 🤨😂🤣😎🧘♂️🌶️♥️

Thanks mate. Well...the counting comes from the origination of this challenge with good ol' Nigel 😉. Who am I to ruin tradition....although I lost count twice while doing this. Frustrating!

@@ChilliChump I could tell. I was playing off a bit of your annoyed humor there. 😂 Very well done dude. That plant is PUMPING! Really love the artistic touch at the end with the pods in the shape of your total lying in the grass behind you.
Haha so jealous. My year wasn't good for growing anything this year. Congrats
I think a better number to look at is this year you just harvested over a billion scoville units from one plant. Seriously impressive.
If I were you I would’ve picked a JPGS or a Chocolate Bhutlah for the challenge probably the JPGS cuz of all my plants it produces an insane amount of pods for its size and the pods are pretty large if I grew a JPGS in Florida in a 100 gallon pot I’m guessing I would get at least 4 maybe 5 harvests and over 5000 pods and over 250lbs of peppers
567 Pods from one plant way to go Chump 👏

Plus the earlier harvest...and one more harvest to go!
I love ChilliChump. My wife gets jealous because I watch him all the time. But thats just because women don't understand the bro energy
Big UP for Dooorseeet Ya'lll :D
Very nice. I'm guesing you'll get another 75-100 peppers, probably smaller ones though. Small peppers are better than no peppers if you ask me.

The funny thing is, the green ones I have on the plant are actually pretty large (since I changes my fert mix). So quite a few large ones on there....just a matter of the temperatures holding out 🤞

@@ChilliChump Awesome, I hope I'm wrong and you get another excellent harvest from it. Cheers from Central Missouri in the US.
I have lots of cayenne peppers that are still green, they are outside, is there anything I can do to get them to ripen to red? Thanks 😊

Unfortunately it's mostly a matter of patience! Careful not to overwater once the colder weather comes in...in fact you should rather underwater a bit so that the plant doesn't start to rot
It would be much fairer to measure the weight of the chilies than the amount of fruits. Are Pepper Greko's fruits significantly larger and of better quality. If Shaun ends up winning, and the weight of the fruits is smaller, it will not be fair!!!!

The agreed terms were by number of ripe chillies. It is essentially a homage to the massive Dorset Naga plant that seaspring seeds grew, Nigel
How are you pollinating you enormous Dorset Naga plant just by shaking it daily?
I'm just curious how you and Calvin did in relation to Pepper Guru, who was growing along with you. BTW, he did a nice shout-out and recommendation to you both on his Dorset Naga video. I'm also curious if you and Calvin are also keeping track of pods by weight, in addition to number. My harvest has been pretty good this year, but nothing like yours ... growing Chocolate Scorpions, Caribbean Reds, Carolina Reaper, Serrano, and Thai Chillies in USA Zone 5b. I do have enough dried chillies to last me for a year and beyond, and still more coming in. We have maybe 3 weeks left before the fall cold settles in. I'm keeping track by weight ... haven't been counting the pods.

This is because they are starting to ferment. You need to heat pasteurise before bottling

Thank you so much Mr Chilichamp this answer will help me forever will give results
I've learned over the years that growing Peppers can be very finicky plants. This year I'm dealing with a lot of my plants dropping Peppers before they're mature. Probably has to do with the weather extremes we're experiencing in California.
