I’ve been listening to the pixies album Surfer Rosa basically on repeat since I got it, there’s a line in the song I’ve been tired that goes like “I wanna be a singer like lou reed, I LIKE lou reed” (I have all the surfer Rosa lyrics that I can understand memorized) I didn’t know who Lou reed was until I read something about the velvet underground on the sonic youth Wikipedia page today in school (it was not an assignment) and decided that if the pixies AND sonic youth like this guy, there must be something with him. I went home and listened to the first album that came up when I looked up “velvet underground album” I listened to the very first song, which was called candy says, and I cried. How lucky I am to live in a time when everything good has already happened. I can still experience it for the first time. Some people would probably kill for a chance like that.

I was thinking on my way drive home from work as I like to do, and I was thinking that Lou Reed is my favourite lyricist of all time. What he wants to say is that your sexual energy is valuable. Man can increase concentration, creativity and lust for life by not ejaculating it out in the cosmos for sexual phantasies or pornography what in this case actually is a waste of your valuable crafting energy that could and would actually go back up the spinal along to the brain and be used for your dreams you want to achieve. There are people who can masturbate, get an orgasm and not even ejaculate. Instead of nutting and feeling unmotivated and in lack of energy the opposite happens, you are more on track and energized. You can research the topic by searching 'semen retention‘

So, is Lou's answer sincere, or is it just Lou Reed being a jerkoff again? He does love doing that. His sarcastic wit and bluntness are infamous for a reason. Of course, some people simply account for his maners as being from New York City. Either way, what is the harm in trying? Or continuing? Because I never quite stopped jerking off daily anyway. So the only thing I need to do is step up the pace again back to daily. Because basically, I find the no-fap movement to be as dubious as when the religious jerkoffs were driving that Crazy Train. Why climb back abord again? I thought becoming guilt free about masterbation was an advancement. Of course, I need an advantage now, given my age. I can honestly report that it really is possible to ejaculate without an errection. Or a full one, at any rate. Fortunately, I find that getting back to daily exercise takes care of health problems like that as well. If you are looking to feel more creative, though, meditation helps a lot. And daily reading. I prefer reading fiction over non-fiction. Makes for more strange wine, IMHO. But doing both daily is an even bigger boost. So, I guess, if there really is any truth to the benefits of no-fap, then doing all three should make for some amazing rocket sauce.
