I have nine documented concussions after playing the sport I chose for over 24 years. I would say there’s at least four more in there that we’re not documented and I would not tell anybody about for fear of not being allowed to play or not being considered tough enough in my sport. Many times you go back and you just continue to play there is no set time when concussion took me almost 8 weeks to recover from and others could take as little as three days it all depends on the person the severity and the impact I wish I had known more about it I am now 50+-year-old man with double vision and no memory

What are the symptoms of a grade 2 concussion and how long does it last

Thanks I play AAA hockey. Once I was cleared from my doctor I thought I was ready to play. But I started to have big headaches and felt downed some times

@@NemoursChildrens Hi I need some advice, I do boxing and whilst I was sparring I had got a concussion. Now my problem is that I recovered from it about 2 months ago (I got my concussion in September and I am writing this in December 2019) And I have got back into boxing but I do not spar, I only do bag work, shadow boxing and skipping. I noticed that I start getting headaches (This is the first concussion that I have had) Is this natural?

My head hurts way too much to focus on this video rn.

I don't think you can give an exact answer in terms of how long you should rest after a concussion. It's a bit like the question "how long's a piece of string". it completely depends on where on your head you were hit and how severe the blow was. it really has to be taken on a case by case basis.

How much time it will take for full recovery post concussion I had 1 month completed but I still feel dizziness

I dove for someones ankle at max speed in football with no gear cause we were playing at the park and hit the ground very very hard, I didn't know where I was for a couple seconds

Will we be the same as before after the recovery of concussion

Not up to date on healing with concussions

The easiest way to know if you have a concussion is to hold your head perfectly still and have your eyes dart left right left right up and down up and down if you feel any discomfort doing that you probably have a concussion

Hello I got a concussion from a heavy blow on Monday night Nov the 13th. I was sent to the hospital but the hospital didn't give me any discharge papers. I am experiencing a bigger headache and I am very tired. I was knocked out and passing out. I saw my neurologist but I don't know how long it takes. I have a hard time staying awake and memory loss. Is this normal??

this video is not helpful because it doesn't define what rest is and how long to rest for. Pre-existing brain injury and other risk factors, the severity of the injury, the age of the the person with the injury but all determined how long rest is required for or. People always underestimate how long rest is required after injury so my rule of thumb would be more rather than less, weeks rather than days and months rather than weeks to obtain a proper recovery
