Great video. Having a measurable figure make sense and I am surprise that the code has been updated to reflected the common sense and more measurable approach. Taking a leaf out of the parquetry /vinyl flooring specialist, what is deem the acceptable level (on a moisture meter) ?

Thanks for the feedback Andie! 8% maximum and 75%RH is about right for internal screeds as measured by carbide hygrometer. Typically screeds should be left for minimum 7 days. Externally screed moisture can vary with atmospheric and climatic conditions so may take shorter or longer to dry to these levels The other reason to leave screeds for this amount of time is that any compound with cement is subject to shrinkage and cracking. Any cracking should show up within this 7 day period allowing the contractor to treat/accommodate these during the membrane application. Otherwise cracking can permeate a membrane layer that is laid over.

For any concerns of residual moisture in the screed, refer to Gripset E60 or Xpress H20 vapour barrier primer's TDS

Hi James, thanks for the enquiry, Gripset do have a screed product called C- bed and you can waterproof over the C-bed and yes you can waterproof over the screed in 24hours base don normal standard conditions. Check out Gripset.com, view C-bed under products tab and you can read more details there. Thanks!
