168 focused hours that's not so bad, but 504 was quite a shock. I was always told that it took 10,000 hours to master something. To be honest I've been speaking English for almost 32 years at this point and I still mess that up from time to time. So I'm willing to be patient with it.

Slow progress is the best I was learning Spanish like year and half ago and I learned around 100 words remember it was almost 2 years ago and I was learning for couple of weeks I know not impresive 100 words but guess what? Without practicing for 2 years and I remember all those words that's the advantage of learning slowly but surely

English gets a lot of their words through latin, and Spanish is practically like modern latin. A native English speaker will be surprised by how much Spanish words they actually already know, but just to pronounce it in a Spanish accent. For instance, all words that end in -ation/-tion in English (like celebration, insinuation, admiration) are Spanish words, with the pronunciation instead as -cion; celebracion. Just with that understanding, you already know practically thousands of Spanish words!
