#TheRoadtoMD i found you at this time when my daughter and I are seriously thinking, researching,planning, praying and dreaming about what she will take up in College. She's very good in Math so our likely choice would be Engineering. But my daughter grew up watching the family take care of her sickly grandmother, my own Mother and I saw her natural inclination to research on signs and symptoms of any medical condition in our family. In my heart of hearts, I think my daughter can become a doctor too. I just need to support it with research of my own as she's still 16. BUT Science is the bottom 3 of her top subjects, with Math and English as the top 2. I'm excited to watch more of your videos and share it with her too. Thanks for this Doc!

Ayyy halaaa hahaha parehong pareho tayo! 13 y.o. rin ako...ever since elem, I already wanted to plan kung anong gusto ko for my future... since bata passion and dream ko na talaga maging doctor (Prior is General Surgeon) pero haha nalulula din ako sa 14-17 years na study omaygad. At saka nag aalala rin ako na baka mamatay na rin lang ako di pa ko makatulong sa pamilya ko hahaha charot ... pero sana maging successful agad ako/tayo para makatulong na rin sa family at sa mga nangangailangan at para ma achieve ang dreams! Yan lang rin naman gusto ko

That was really inspiring!!! I graduated this year, I doesn't know that somehow I could made it. It is a bit of a long run when your taking a pre-med course! A 5 year life and death situation but hey finally. Supposedly, I will be continuing to med school but waves doesn't have single forms they are way too different from each other. So I ended up with none (NO license) I have nothing YET! The good thing is... there is this quote GOD'S PLAN IS WAY BETTER THAN YOUR DREAMS! Hopefully to continue study and earn my license abroad someday! Road to DPT #inspire

No,unless you have a hard work to learn entricate details Doctor=hard work it’s no average I swear my father once told me Doctor is not for average unless you have the the hard work to get out of that average and be successful And that is what my father and many more of my family members that became a doctor

I would say, yes. Marami akong kilala na hindi naman talaga MATALINO pero they are now doctors. The human brain works really amazing, its capacity to store knowledge is unlimited, you just have to know how to utilize it. Pero di ko sinasantabi ang other factors of tendency to forget. Hindi lang naman kasi patalinohan ang medicine, it also needs more of determination and will to survive. Aanhin mo yung talino kung tamad ka naman magbasa. Kasi lahat ng mai-encounter mo sa field of medicine eh bago sayo or bago sainyong lahat na aspiring doctors. Hindi uso dun ang stock knowledge. Kaya read, read, and read. Fighting!!!

All pre med course (pwede naman non-pre med basta may science units ka) is 4 years talaga unless kung mag eenroll ka sa school na tri-sem kasi iikli yung taon ng pag aaral pero walang pahinga dun, kahit summer may pasok pa din.

sinabi na po nya...4 years PreMed, 4 years Med School, 3-4 years Residency Training as Pediatrician, then kuha ka ng Board sa PPS (Phil. Pediatric Society) Written at Oral,,pag naipasa mo yan DPPS kna, kung gusto mo pa mag tuloy sa Fellowship, training uli pili kana lng kung Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Oncology etc....

Dalawa kong sisters ay nurses... one nag practice sa US at yung isa nag-pulis. Ako pangarap ko maging doktor talaga, kaso di kaya financially. Well... di man ako naging doktor for physical illnesses... I think nakaka-hilom naman ako sa ibang paraan. Nice vlogs doc! Daming magpapa--consult sayo for sure. God bless! :)

apply in state universities po or government public colleges. the tuition there is either free or mas cheap. i think hindi ka makakapag working student kung magt-take ng medicine course kasi kailangan nito na nakafocus ka talaga at masyadong tight ang schedule. so work hard right now na makakuha ka ng good grades po para masecure mo yung spot mo sa mga universities after highschool :)

Try niyo muna po mag trabaho after ng premed nio na course, tapos kapag naka-ipon na proceed na kayo sa medicine.
