Saw your review link for the Igloo on Costco's website so I watched all three videos. Honestly you covered more than their description did. I oogle this thing everytime I see it in stores (and I go to Costco too much). I'm tempted to get both of these for car camping. We like to drive to another state and hit up the grocery store there and bring back frozen meat and this would help me a ton!

Im glad I was able to help. That’s one of the main reasons I uploaded this review/test because I couldn’t find much online about it! It’s a great setup with the Ecoflow and solar panels if you can snag it at Costco too. You won’t be disappointed!

Interesting test. I have seen the dometic compressor being less efficient than the secop danfoss compressor. By how much I cant recall. But then again you are running the freezer. When I tested my ecoflow just like your model on my iceco jp40 pro only using it as a fridge only not as a freezer it lasted over 3 days. This was in a controlled ambient temp of about 70 degrees. Fridge was set to 34 and filled with canned drinks and capri suns. The drinks were also already pre-chilled Your igloo is also larger so im sure the amount of space it has to cool has to do with it sucking up more power. But when I go camping I use my 2048wh solar generator to power my fridge anyway. Still need to see more of how the igloo does before i decide whether or not I'll buy it.

@@NuReviews-DIY It sure was, just wondering, do you enjoy using it? Or would you prefer a cooler with wheels? I am thinking of buying the Igloo 83-quart Dual Zone Active Cooler at Costco, but wondering if wheels would be a required option. Also for this price, maybe shoot for something with wheels and has an ice maker, like the Ecoflow Glazier or Anker Coolzone 40?

Super helpful. My River 2 Pro should arrive today and I'm headed out for a several day trip to Big Bend National Park. I need it to run overnight while I'm backpacking so 24 hours will get me there with time to spare. I'll have a 100W panel tied in as well so it should run nearly indefinitely with that included.

Yes, my local Costco has it for $699, igloos website sells for $1000. Glad you liked it!!

River 2 pro was 400 at Costco, picked one up as well as the 80dz. Still waiting on the river in the mail but glad to see I should expect 23 hours with it.

Yes, and you’ll probably get even longer time if you pre-chill the cooler before your trip. Outside temps play a huge role, so if it’s hot outside or the cooler is in direct sunlight, it may affect performance but overall, you should at least get 23-24hours with it

Need this for construction guys sell them some ice creams 😂

Thanks for the videos - Did you also get the EcoFlow w/ included solar panel from Costco? If so, were you able to connect the solar panel to the EcoFlow without having to purchase a separate adapter?

Yes and yes, everything that came in the bundle from Costco for the Ecoflow was included, didn’t need to purchase a separate adapter

With a power port in the back of my SUV, I would only need portable power when the fridge is away from the vehicle.

Those are my plans too, during our drive, the car will power it. Once we arrive at our camp site, Ecoflow would be taking over

What was the outside temperature? Since the vehicle was closed up, how hot was it inside the car?

About 75 degrees but the night was colder around 60s . I’m going to test it during summer and leave it outdoors with the sun hitting to see how it’ll do, but at that point using solar panels would help it never discharge (ECOFLOW)

how long would have lasted if you were at temperature with the cooler before plugging it into the power station?

It took about an hour to reach the temperature I set. Once it’s at temperature, the compressor would turn off and on when needed about 2-3 times per hour. If I were to guess, it’ll probably give you another hour to hour and a half more, depending on outside temperature

Picked it from my local Costco but you can buy it from igloo’s website!

I bought one, had it for a day inside, all was well. Moved it into my Jeep for one day on 12v power and the internal fan bearing went and sounded like crunching when turning! I returned it and got another. Have you heard of this issue?

Hmmm, I have not heard that issue before and I never had that problem either. Only thing that comes to mind is making sure your battery protection level is set to medium/high when connect to your cars 12v, and make sure it can handle at least 10amps as rated on the cable (approx. 120watts). Although that is what the cable recommends, it realistically only uses about 40-50watts, but maybe the initial startup or pre-chill, it uses more watts up to that 120w

doesnt seem very efficient. ecoflow river 2 pro runs it only 24 hours? i would have expected 2 days. did you put all foods and water in room temperature?

Yes and I also didn’t pre-chill the cooler and left it in the car where it is much hotter than outside with the windows rolled up. I’ve done some other test (off camera) outside running it with food inside, and pre chilled before connecting to the eco flow and was able to get about 3 days. Outside temperature plays a huge role and food temps do too
