Pempek is a type of fishcake originally from Palembang in South Sumatra. Like batagor, it’s a Chinese-influenced dish commonly made with deep-fried tenggiri fish meat. Pempek is made with boneless ground fish meat mixed with water, salt, and sago flour. The dough is boiled or steamed before being deep-fried and served with a sweet and sour sauce made from palm sugar, chili, garlic, vinegar, and salt. Pempek is typically cut into bite-sized portions and often served with yellow noodles or rice vermicelli, sliced cucumber, and krupuk. Pempek fish dough is always used though many variants exist based on shape and additional ingredients used. Pempek

Starting with the taste, the type of food, and the ingredients for each region, We Indonesians also don't necessarily have the opportunity to enjoy the food and culture of all regions in Indonesia. I hope you enjoyed in Indonesia. Thank you for visiting Indonesia. 😊❤️🤍

Jambal fish is similar to Cod fish. Portugese eats this fish a lot and they also preserve it the way Indonesian do. Raw fish filet and rub with the salt and let dry in the sun. When they cook it, they reduce the saltness by soaking it in salted water, so it's process of osmosis, the salted water draw the salt from the fish, the result, the fish is less salty. Famous Portugese dish Bacalhau. The main ingredient is dried salted Cod. I also heard Selat Solo, that dish is actually inherited from Dutch called Hussaren sla which actually the Dutch modified the original salad from Hungarian salad called Hussar salad. Interesting story about this salad.

I grew up in Menado but migrated to Germany 52 years ago. The Bubur Menado or Tinuktuan is a very healthy dishes and usually goes with sambal roa. Do not forget to add gedi vegetable and citronella grass and the original bubur Menado, we do not add sweet potato but talas roots!

If u keep your video be like this, escorted by the locals to know everything about our culture and food, then you will be supported by our people.. it's not enough for you to explore Indonesia just only for 1 or 2 weeks 😂😂 we have almost 39 provinces with it's own cultures and food.. not just only food but you might be interested with our traditional ceremonies from each tribe in our provinces..
