How Ketchup is ACTUALLY Made

The ancestor of modern ketchup was completely tomato-free. As far back as 300 BC, texts documented the use of fermented pastes made from fish entrails, meat byproducts, and soybeans.
Modern ketchup as we know it today didn’t debut until 1812 when a scientist named James Mease developed the recipe. The condiment instantly caught the attention of consumers in the US and European markets with companies like Heinz selling 13 million bottles of it.
Today the ketchup industry generates 35 billion dollars in revenue. So, how is it made?

How Ketchup is Made With Way Too Much Sugar

Bro when something is huge you need something huge. That container is big, two spoons of sugar can't just work. But then all is added in small contenitors, with some basic mathematics, you can figure out how the sugar decreases.

Unripened tomatoes is actually a huge portion of the tomato harvest. They harvest them while green and then use ethylene gas when they're close to their intended market to artificially ripen them. This occurs with lots of other fruits/vegetables as well.

There used to be a Campbell Soup factory in Sacramento. My dad's barbershop was across the street and he had alot of his customers from there. When the wind was right you could smell the tomatoes cooking for miles!
