I just wanna say how much I appreciate ur channel. The combination of Punk and Rock music with Fashion ist just amazing. You introduced me to some of my favorite music rn like joy division. Ur channel is definitely so underrated which may be because it’s a bit to niche but never change that to be more accessible because your videos are just perfect and there’s nothing else like them on KZread And your series about Punk in Fashion is one of the best series/Videos on KZread. They are just perfect in every way watched them many times and still enjoy them I would love to see you make another series like it. Keep on with the great work and remember that though you might not have “many” subscribers compared to some others(who are also very boring and mainstream) your channel is singular and irreplaceable.

Curtis also loved J.G. Ballard's "Atrocity Exhibition" from which he took the song title, and watched Werner Herzog's 1977 film "Strozek"on the last night of his life, which deals with a group of lost European expats stranded in the harsh and unforgiving wasteland of the American Midwest, drifting into isolation, madness, and suicidal despair. The band was on the eve of its American debut tour, and this film is a profound and to-this-day unknown key into Curtis's feverish state of mind on that tragic spring evening of May 1980. Pay close attention to the symbolism of the "novelty" display of the imprisoned "musical chicken" pecking away on a cheap toy piano inside of a glass box...a searing metaphor for how Curtis may have felt he had become for his public, now that he was on the verge of the stardom and mass fame he had once chased so passionately in his anonymous youth and now felt was an unbearable anchor of exploitation, and tragically believing was a completely insurmountable issue alongside his worsening physical condition.
