How Jonathan Taylor is dominating in Frank Reich's scheme | Film Room

Спорт

Jonathan Taylor was one of those running backs coming out of college that obviously had talent. He clearly had speed as he ran a 4.39 40-yard dash. He clearly had power based on the number of broken tackles he created on the ground. And he clearly had vision where he constantly broke big runs while dominating in college.
In this video, I wanted to see how Jonathan Taylor's skill set has translated into the NFL so far. The dude is incredible. Speed, power, vision... he has all the important traits to be a dominant runner for a long time. The question comes down to his ability to get better in the passing game. Both as a pass catcher and as a blocker, Jonathan Taylor needs to improve to be a more well-rounded running back.

Jonathan Taylor is absolutely ridiculous. Speed, power, vision... He has all the traits to be a great running back for a long time!

As long as the Colts find a way not to rely on him the way the Titans do. Taylor has multiple games (in the past 5 games) with over 30 carries/game. Indy needs to be able to utilize him, without breaking him down long term. Just IMO.

@@LawrenceOwen I think Frank probably has a quiver full of play action passes that he hasn't had to show due to the run game being so dominant.

@@LawrenceOwen it took them like half the season to get him over 20 touches in a game. He needs at least 20-25 with how dominant he has been.

Taylor is an amazing RB. But it's 3 things that get him yards. Very good Run blocking O-line, and Frank Reich's multitude of blocking schemes keeps defenses guessing. But JT individually is so good with breaking tackles, and then adding yards after contact with his speed.

well we have seen other running backs in the system and some of them have played well like mack hines and wilkins but jonathan taylor is a generational talent. most RB’s need a good o-line to produce that’s just the game.

JT should win MVP just for taking pressure away from Carson Wentz.

As a hawks fan I’m kinda happy we didn’t pick him up our O line wouldn’t open as many holes for him limiting his abilities greatly

Johnathan Taylor on the verge to becoming a All-time great. Availability, North n South, laterally ridiculous and the obvious 4.3 fuel out his feet..

Bo Jackson is about the best comparison I can make. Granted, Bo was bigger, but the style is there. A powerback that runs a 4.3/40 is that rare.

The video really shows how dominant the Colts o-line is… it seems like my Bears can never force open a gap and make a clean running lane. Obviously JT is very talented too but the line and scheme helps a lot. Great video!
