He's like the modern Philip Seymour Hoffman

They look alike, but that's where it stops. Plemons doesn't draw on his own vulnerability to construct characters. He's arguably the opposite of PSH, in that he always seems to have this hard external shell-- you wonder what the hell is going on inside.

Jesse Plemons is a legend. I agree he stole this movie. His scene was the one I kept thinking about after leaving the theater.

Rose colored. Or blood. As in 'seeing red.'

Totally loved that aspect. It's so minor, but well placed. Good hypothesis

I feel this way with every one of Alexs films is that they always have an amazing cast and the acting is incredible but he or the actors and actresses never outplay the setting and the world of his films they always take center stage. Its unforgettable film like everything else hes done 🐐

I disagree with you on your viewpoint on Journalist. I do agree JP did an outstanding job at making you hate his character.

It's funny, because the point of the movie is to lionize journalists, particularly Dunst's character, the girl, and the wise old man. They're the heroes of the film, because they do their duty to remain objective and tell the facts despite the risks that come with it. The Latino guy is a war junky and one way or another gets almost everybody killed, so I think he doesn't come off as so heroic. I think the lads here missed the ball.

I'm sorry, Miles Teller is the greatest actor of all time in your opinion? Not even of your generation or a particular year. He's not bad, but there are actors who run circles around Miles Teller. That really tarred any other opinions you might have had.

I agree! It was the best scene and that’s the climax to the film in my opinion

I agree that he completely stole the scene but that he stole the whole movie is a bit rich. Also I don't know where you got the impression that Miles Teller is No.2 of greatest actors oat xD Good performances but besides Whiplash nothing outstanding.

No offense, but you two are very immature. This was a civil war. Not a riot in Seattle. Journalist play an important role in documenting the events. Of course your world has been pampered. The movie was extremely realistic. Jesse's scene was showing an important part of the reality of war. Its kill or be killed. The Town showed the exact opposite. It was conplete control and protection. I hope a civil war never happens here, but the government will decide that through its leadership or lack there of.
