How horrible... I can't even imagine what it would be like to have to carry a still birth... I admire her ability to hold herself up and move on from that experience.

For the record: after Barbara told producer Sidney Sheldon she was pregnant, he began filming as many episodes as he could before she "bloomed". After the pilot, ten episodes were completed between April and May 1965 (with several additional close-ups filmed during June and July, shortly before Barbara gave birth). She was carefully draped with more veils and silk around her harem costume, and carefully photographed above the waist {she also folded her arms around her tummy at times}.

Even better: Barbara Eden put on a terrific acting job, because she was legally blind! Her vision was so terrible, she had to wear Coke-bottle glasses (or contacts; which were solid glass, extremely uncomfortable, and could only be worn for short durations). She memorized the layouts of the sets, and somehow pulled it off.

5he gave birth the 29 of august of 1965, and she went back to film the rest of the first season in late october. And the episode she is talking about on the bikini is "Whatever became of baby Custer?".

She had a tough life ... but stayed down to earth 🌏 that’s why people will always adore Barbara Eden. 🧞‍♀️

Even vain people have tragedy in their life, but she is /was extremely vain.

I don't think that it was 13 episodes filmed during her pregnancy, because from season1ep12 she is no longer draped with the addtional veils.

How dreadful :( Always loved her. I had no idea.
