How Jawbreakers Are Made
Ғылым және технология
Jawbreakers, also known as gobstoppers, are a popular candy that originated in the United Kingdom. While the size of the candy ball varies, jawbreakers often have multiple layers of color and sugar. It can take about four days to make a jawbreaker.

Most gum contains a synthetic rubber of some kind. It's why you're not supposed to swallow chewing gum. It won't kill you, because your body won't really process the rubber. But it's not good for you, either.

This has to be straight out of the ‘70’s!! 😂😂
When I was a kid I got a jawbreaker that was almost as big as a tennis ball. I think I got about halfway through it before accepting that licking my tongue raw on daily basis wasn't actually fun. The layers of color inside were cool looking though.
"Jawbreakers are 90% sugar" Me: what's the other 10% Also me: remembers the first line "add synthetic rubber..."

I'm sorry to tell you.... but you'll find the 'synthetic rubber' that's mentioned here in A LOT of other food. It's extremely common.

It's food grade, the FDA is not going to let a company put literal rubber in their food. I would be more concerned by the fact that is made almost entirely of sugar. Like 99% of all processed food It is unhealthy but its not dangerous.
