It's very good. Slightly sweet. There's nothing in American cuisine to compare it to.

Lolli Polli01 If you go to an asian market you can probably find a snack that has red been paste in it. If you've never tried somethign that is red been flavored than it'll be very different than you expect. It's light and sweet and a little gritty. It's more like a vanilla been than other types of been you may think of.

So the outer white bean skin is slightly sweet, the texture is softer and stretchier than marzipan. It’s very delicate and very slightly nutty. The red bean filling is also sweet but a bit more rich and nutty than the skin. It’s almost like chestnut paste but slightly different. Wagashi is so tasty!

I'm cuban. In Cuba sugar is really common. Sense Cuba was Spain's personal sugar, tabacco, and caffeine plantetions. So today sugar, tabacoo, and coffe is something incorporated to a day by day life. No, not every Cuban smokes. But sugar, caffeine, and alcohol(yes alcohol, from beer, to wine to guarapo(wich is a drink for kids)) are consume openly. Cubans have strong livers ;)

I understand that. But many people who wearing thin gloves touches many dirty things such as money. These wagash craftsman (we call them "craftsman" with respect.) never touches like that dirty things after they washed their hands. So i can trust them at this point.
