They're doing the TIG welding on aluminum tubing with aluminum rod, and I think it's a case of writer ignorance where they start mentioning "steel". A small percentage of journalists wouldn't know the difference between steel or aluminum or copper, most likely. It's okay to not know all about every damn thing in the world, but you'd think for a program like this, they'd do a little more research and be a bit more careful when they're striving to be presenting accurate information to the public. Otherwise, there's really no point in producing a series like this. I'm no real expert on metallurgy, but I was a production welder at a firm for 16 years and these guys got it wrong when they referred to the aluminum materials as steel. We all knew we couldn't even use the same gas or MIG wire when switching from mild to stainless, all that stuff has to be basic work know-how to any welder.

(Which is commonly an American pronunciation) However it's correct pronunciation is De-Rayl-lyer. hurt my ears every time he said it. Don't mean to be the Grammar Police but if you're going to educate people... then educate them correctly at least! LOL
