Wow! Thank you so much for showing us DIY makers some love. It was great having you guys come by the garage to see our caveman process. My only regret was not introducing myself as "my name is Jonny Manak and I'm a skateboard maker from the San Francisco Bay Area..." Much love from the Manak family!

Great to see you there Jonny explaining the all process! Amazing how got creative during the lockdown. Wish you all the best man!👍🏼🤜🏼
As a furnitute maker I've been in a bunch of shops... This isn't a high end shop but it's a smart shop. You can tell that the maker is bright, he gets it, all of his little jigs make so much sense. That isn't stuff you can just buy, it's custom for what he's doing and he's making it work. This is all about the end product. I love it.

Honestly, bless all the dudes making skateboarding possible. These are real craftsmen that literally shape and make it all accessible.
Jonny is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Awesome dad, his family is rad, and his music is the best and has been featured in all kinds of skate videos and TV shows. If you've been skating for a while you've heard it and probably don't even realize it. Go Jonny! Shout out to Danger and Zo!

Loved this. Coming from an art background, the screen printing part was familiar. But the rest was fascinating. You guys should do a short run collab with him and offer some of his boards in your online shop.

Hey man just dislocated my elbow recently. Haven't been able to skate since; almost there though! I know a broken arm is way worse! Enjoy yourself and stay positive! Look at all the skaters that constantly break bones over and over, and are still skating pro to this day!

This might be the first video where the title and thumbnail are underwhelming. This was so awesome to see. It’s one thing to see Paul Schmitt do his thing, it’s another when you see a dude doing it at a much more diy level.

I like finding old videos like this. I know I’ve seen this before. But it’s so refreshing seeing love for skateboarding. This guy makes and sells skateboards but has videos showing you how to do it yourself. A true skater wants everyone to skate. I want to run off to Lowe’s and make my own board now. Well I don’t think they have that exact ply but. I want to do this.

the love and passion for making each board amazing
This is so cool. I love how it doesn't skip past anything. Really makes a lot more sense why skateboards are pricey, so much work goes into making a quality board.

This vid is amazing, taking working from home to a new level. 3 broken elbows and lifelong love of boards just got my kid his 1st skateboard. Really interesting insight into how things can progress in the production process while recycling 🤟🏴
I love everything about this. Thanks for making this video and showing us how it’s done on a small scale. So impressive!
Thank you Johny and thank you Aaron for making this stuff coming out of the garage 🙏🙏 Such an accomplishment for Manak and such help for all of us garage shapers trynna make things moving in background Much love to Braille
Wow...the love into the craft is AMAZING. IM 100% ordering a Manak deck after this video. No question thats fonna skate so well.
I've recently discovered your channel and spent a bit of time going through your back catalogue of videos. I like all your varied videos I've seen so far, but really love this one.
beautiful deck work and design. I'm an 80's kid so my first boards were variflex, vision and powell peralta, so Manak definitely hits my aesthetic craving. Thanks for sharing.

The old school brands had sick graphics and almost every model had a different shape. I'm glad some companies brings back different shapes, even though most are standardized. My first board was Santa Cruz Rob Roskopp, then an Alva Craig Johnson and a Powell Peralta Steve Caballero. I never got my hands on a Vision deck, but they had the coolest graphics and shapes. I remember Vision Jinx and Vision Psycho. These Manak decks looks awesome btw!
Big big props for all of the diy in this video, especially the screenprinting which is a huge passion of mine, love seeing people doing amazing things with what they have
Huge respect to this dude. Seems so solid. I really enjoyed watching this!
This was awesome! More stuff like this please. This guy Johnny is Rad!

Thanks Aaron awesome video nothing better than a backyard skateboard business done the old-fashioned way from scratch the way I remember and the way I use the screen print exactly the way he described it🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻
