My pleasure!
Been missing you this pass year, glad you are back. Excellent boots, great craftmanship.
To be able to go home every night with that feeling of accomplishment is priceless!! Maestro you have my respect!!
Dear Brian, This comment probably won't be read but it is needed to be said. For cowhide leather, the grain direction is from neck to tail, along the back spine, so cutting with the grain which is horizontal to backbone will minimize the break. For horsehide it is the opposite, the grain direction runs across the back spine, so cutting from one side to the other minimize the break. That is the reason why tannery sell cowhide sides cut from each side of the back while horse leather is cut as horse front and horse butt. In this video I saw you cut the vamp against the grain direction which is I assume for the maximum yield?
Love that boot. That's old school badassness, splitting the footbed to create a leather gemming to stitch the welt to. And leather lining inside instead of cloth! Much love Brian.

I always watch them with my kids! I’m not sure which among us enjoys it the most.😉
This dude works to FINE tolerences... Brian... your skill and your artistry are honed to such a precise level of mastery... Bravo, Sir. Bravo. First time I saw your rubber soles I thought "this guy is influenced by the WW2 red paratrooper boots..." but wondered if the inner row of stitching was just aesthetic. After watching this video, I can see that it is indeed sewn onto the leather insole. Nice touch! It also looks like each and every stacked leather heel block is shaped individually for the boot it's being mounted to? .... I'm speechless... Stunning craftsmanship, from start to finish...
You put your heart into your craft.
Your videos have always been great, by far one of the best channels on KZread.

Craftsmanship at its finest.
Craftsmanship optima forma! Nice boots and video too, continue ;-))
Una belleza de botas excelente trabajo felicitaciones. Un vud4o de lo mejor saludos bendiciones.
If I came into a lump of money large enough to allow me to retire at age 36, I would come straight to LA, knock on your door and ask to be your apprentice. I have 2 pairs of boots made by you, including the first pair of M-42 Service Boots that I commissioned 😉, and your skill level is nothing short of phenomenal. Your skills deserve to live on, the same as your teachers skills were passed to you. Keep up the good work Brother!
Brian we love your video and work you remade a pair of whites for me up here in buffalo ny rocking Role club!

Amazing. This uncle can make boots in 15 minutes.
Welcome back lol
Nice.
HI BRIAN!!
I wish I had money so you could make me a pair of handmade boots. It would mean more to me if they were made especially for me. I enjoy watching you work and the craftsmanship is exceptional. Keep up the good work. There are only a few people left who can make things from scratch anymore. ❤
muito bom!!🌻🇧🇷.
Man o man! Top notch leather lashing from such a young fella!! Man, I feel like i'm back in the boot shop my mom worked at many moons ago! Love your work, young sir!! Quick question, I just checked out your store and looked at those boondocker boots and I saw the logo tag you made for the inside( young boy and master sitting) Who embroidered those kind of tags? Where did you get those tags? Absolutely love your work!! Thank you, sir.
Would you ever make a video on some of your vintage clothing? I noticed you wear a lot of workwear from the 1940s such as salt & pepper, denim, brown beach etc
Alô Brian! Saúde! PAZ do SENHOR JESUS CRISTO.
nice craftsmanship, you are blessed with talent, keep up with your videos 👍🏼

I'm not trying to second guess you, Brian, since I know very little about boot making, but could you tell me why the soles aren't trenched before stitching? Won't the stitching wear out much sooner? Glad that you're back!
