How It's Made-Butter

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Today they will show you how Butter is made!!!
Butter is a dairy product made by churning fresh or fermented cream or milk. It is used as a spread and a condiment, as well as in cooking applications such as baking, sauce making, and frying. Butter consists of butterfat, water and milk proteins.
Most usually made from cows' milk, butter can also be manufactured from that of other mammals, including sheep, goats, buffalo, and yaks. Salt, flavorings and preservatives are sometimes added to butter. Rendering butter produces clarified butter or ghee, which is almost entirely butterfat. Butter remains a solid when refrigerated, but softens to a spreadable consistency at room temperature, and melts to a thin liquid consistency at 32--35 °C (90--95 °F).
The density of butter is 911 kg/m3 (1535.5 lb/yd3).[1] It generally has a pale yellow color, but varies from deep yellow to nearly white. Its color is dependent on the animal's feed and is commonly manipulated with food colorings in the commercial manufacturing process, most commonly annatto or carotene.

When I was a kid I loved to watch the 'how it's made stuff. There was stuff like this or politicians blabbering for hours, there were two tv channels here in Lex--1961. In school I got to go to the peanut butter factory, ice cream, and Coco Cola. I got a free paper kite at the Jiff factory. We could smell roasting peanuts from my Uncle and Aunt's house.

If by white butter you mean shortening, which is a completely different process (involving vegetable oil, usually...tallow is made from pig fat, usually from around the kidneys) then yeah. Most store bought butter is very light yellow. The better stuff is deeper due to the increased vitamin A and different process.

We it shows how easy butter really is to make even from a professional industry point of view not only a homemade view. The coolest part is it teaches one where the different types of milk come from i.e butter milk , 1%,2%, fat free ,..etc its all based on mixing to separate fat content. I am pretty sure cream and half half are an in between process of this mixing / adding process. So another words this video also teaches you how the different milks and creams come from to some extent as well. Salted vs unsalted is a simple adding/not adding salt in the mixing process but still a little curious on the unpasteurization vs pasteurization of these products as this step seems to be skipped in the video

When you buy a milk that isn't skined or pasterised, it creates a floating lomps on top of it, same goes when you coock milk to pasterise it. In Serbia we call that kajmak and use it similarly as butter.

454g of butter, 1g for the paper. 454g = 1lb, and in Canada using metric equivalents of U.S. sizes is common (this is a Canadian show).

455 g = 1 pound of butter, 450 g would be .99 pounds, even with 1 gram of paper it would still be .99 pounds

+gabrieltavares18 Light makes it rancid. Barfarama! Funny how it's light that also makes beer, " skunked", or light-struck? It changes the hop lupulins that give flavor & bitterness against the sweet malts into something close to that of skunk spray!

"Nutritionist" is not a protected term in the UK, unlike "dietitian"; the latter must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, so anybody can claim to be a nutritionist.

Sarah Ford If you are actually educated in nutrition, you would know that sodium is easily removed from the body just by drinking healthy amounts of water every day. You would also know that in moderation, butter can be a fat your body can use without problems. And you should also know that real butter is 10x healthier than those hydrogenated oils they love to give you in that fake margarine.

It depends on the cream. Natural cream yes. So many creams now have additives so you won't get butter. Read the ingredients if you plan to do this.

My guess is most dairies are using standard iodized table salt in production, which means I will buy unsalted butter from now on and use full spectrum salt on my butter. Very interesting video! My guess is 99% of Americans have no clue how their foods get processed and how far it travels to get on their grocery store shelf.

How to make butter: 1. Get an electrical death cage 2. Get a motorcycle 3. Put child on said motorcycle (preferably a child named Mondo) 4. Put the child in the cage, still on the motorcycle 5. Make the electrical death cage spin around as fast as possible 6. Enjoy your butter!
