It was a shame that Ichigo never learned that Kukaku and Ganju are his relatives. Because that was the very reason why they helped him in Soul Society arc. Maybe Isshin asked them to take care of Ichigo.

Isn't the manga over though? I know they released an anime of the arc with a bit added to it, but people keep talking about the story actually going beyond it. Did the manga start up again or something? On viz it still shows me caught up and only has up to the last chapter of the TYBW arc.

The Shiba ancestor certainly epitomizes that theme of selfless sacrifice and altruism the mere fact that he volunteered to undergo that nightmare to spare the king says it all. Pity then that the ruthless ambition and drive of the others was far stronger and it shows even now. Still at least the descendants of the Shiba remain heroic and wanting normalcy much to the scorn of the others.

The Final Getsuga Tenshō is definitely tied to the Shiba clan, which makes a lot of sense with Kubo confirming that a Zanpakuto can share traits with other Zanpakuto from the same family. I imagine that Isshin learned about it from his other clan members or from texts that were written about his family.

But aizen also merged with his zanpakuto. He called it "the truest form" iirc. Also BBS has "beyond bankai", many of which seem to be the captains merging with their own zanpakuto abilities. So shouldn't this just be a basic zanpakuto evolution that not everyone is aware of?

@@Zeno1781 I am well aware of this concept, though I question the validity given that Aizen has achieved it permanently. Whether the permanence of his version is due to the Hogyoku, or if the only reason Ichigo lost it at all is because of his lack of Asauchi, we don't have enough information unless I'm missing something? But I don't understand why you felt the need to say this, given that your explanation didn't really answer anything I originally said?

It was a final attack hence the reason it was called final getsuga tensahou even if he hadnt used that power, he would have eventually lost all his spiritual pressure. Ichigo not having an asauchi doesnt matter here because even if he did, the same thing would have happen Aizen managed to do it "naturally". The final stage of a soul reaper is to eventually evolve to the point they have fused with their zanpakto and then became their zanpakto. Characters who can do this can actively using their shikai and bankai abilities without having to call out their names. That is what aizen did. Because of the hog, he managed to evolve to this point "naturally" while in other scenerios, you either get it through ichigo and possibly isshin family clan ability or training to the point to achieve transcendence.

I like how Ichigo looks similar to Yhwach in this form. Same hair style and black rejatsu. This isn’t a suprise since the Quincy (Yhwach) powers of Ichigo are part of Zangetsu

@@User5hdbh No. Old man Zangetsu told Ichigo the NAME of getsuga tensho. Ichigo used it before ever speaking to Zangetsu. Old man Zangetsu was stated outright to be a manifestation of Yhwach in Ichigo. I don't know why Yhwach would want to use getsuga tensho but i'm sure he can't since it is a shinigami technique.

Ulquiorra and Yammy could also use the black Reiatsu, either it’s a Hollow power or it’s simply a higher level of spirit energy like how fire works.

In the manga Isshin said if i remember it correctly: “engetsu refused to learn it to me” or something like that. So its a fact that its a shiba bloodline ability.

Isshin is one of my favorite characters. You can just feel how powerful he was and his level of expertise. I would love to see a prequel anime with him.

It's kinda just undeniable that Mugetsu is Letzt Stil influenced, it's even in the design itself, which of course leads back to a potential plot hole of Isshin knowing about it. At this point I think the only way I can cover for Isshin is to turn to Question 387 in that Isshin and Ichigo's Getsugas are different, in case you needed more proof of Ichigo fighting as a Quincy a good majority of the series. What "Final Getsuga" actually entails like Getsuga Tensho itself between the two are likely fundamentally different as well, and if it's a Clan Technique that implements "Sacrifice" what it sacrifices for Isshin could also be different, likely not something as severe as losing his Powers. Even Isshin's Bankai takes some type of toll or Sacrifice as he couldn't use it with the open wounds he had. Maybe this is why Old Man Zangetsu himself wanted to protect Ichigo from the path of a Soul Reaper. Not being a Soul Reaper itself, but for Ichigo having a "Getsu" Zanpakuto specifically might mean gaining more power from it would eventually mean some form of Sacrifice being inevitable compared to the bare necessities Old Man Zangetsu provided, which indeed worked out in the end ironically until Mugetsu itself. The Quincy and Soul Reaper sides might just coincide in their sacrificial exchange creating an even greater harmonic power in exchange that was Mugetsu. However before we could see how far Fullbring Quincy Powers could take us, the biggest threat tied to Ichigo's truth of his Quincy Powers came out of the shadows. If that secret was so close to being revealed anyways by that time...what's the point of keeping secrets anymore? Old Man Zangetsu didn't deny anything when finally confronted compared to the most upward battle of resistance against him in Dangai, and Ichigo still learned no greater truth after all that, and was probably expected to live in that ignorance for the rest of his life even if it made Zangetsu sad. It's a nice dichotomy actually. Something I didn't consider though is that brief meeting between Isshin and Ryuken, I could very well believe Isshin learned of things in that exact moment in time or tried experimenting with the Final Getsuga training for the first time. My headcanon prior was in the long timeframe of Ichigo growing up Masaki and/or Ryuken in general probably explained Quincy things to Isshin. He did cuck their whole family line out of their "purity" after all, the least they could do is educate him. 💀

I have ALWAYS wondered if the FGT was a Shiba clan technique and each of them becomes their respective “Getsuga” in exchange for their powers. A last resort final blow. Isshin’s zanpakuto highly implies some sort of Phoenix motiff so it could be a flame version of Ichigo’s. And I wonder if Kaien would have learned his if given the opportunity. A water getsuga sounds so badass.

Well Kaien would need a Zanpakutō with getsu in its name to get the Getsuga Tenshou and his blades name is Nejibana, now given wr know Zanpakutō are known to give fake names either thinking their master is unworthy and they think independently for their masters best interest I wouldn't be surprised that Nejibana is a fake name and it's a water type with Getsu in its name all to protect Kaien from Ichibei as learning the Final Getsuga Tenshou would put the Shiba shinigami in levels of the Soul King since the Shiba Clan Ancestor has enough power to hold the 3 realms by himself.

I think the aspect of Aizen being unable to sense Ichigo in his Dangai state stems from the core aspect of his Bankai. Compression. It's purpose was to compress his overflowing and near uncontrollable reitsu to boost his physical abilities and compress and enhance the ability of the Getsuga. The Dangai form is the maximum compression of his power. Boosting his physical abilities to the nth degree to the point his reitsu could no longer be sensed. As it was completely contained within him. Nothing leaking out. It also plays into lect Steele in the idea of absorbing and utilizing masses of power but could draw on the hollow aspect of Resurrection. Transformation of the body itself and becoming your Zanpakuto. As Ichigo's Zanpakuto back then was literally a compressed hollow created by Aizen that had infected Ichigo in the womb when Misaki was pregnant. I surmise then the nature of the Getsuga and abilities of the Zanpakuto vary greatly depending on the person. . Kaien for example showed no such connection to it despite having a zanpakuto nor do Kukaku or Ganju who might utilize it without a Zanpakuto. So it seems more ingrained to the person and Zanpakuto itself than specifically tied to the Shiba clan. But it is possible.

Incorrect. Aizen thought something similar until Ichigo transformed into the Getsuga and started releasing a ton of reiatsu. Aizen still couldn't sense it, even though it was radiating outside of Ichigo's body. Aizen came to the obvious conclusion that Ichigo reached an even higher level of transcendence than his own; just as those below his level couldn't sense him unless he lowered his output to a level they could sense (like he was doing to Ichigo's friends), Ichigo could do the same but didn't lower his output at all since it would be pointless to do so (he came to kill Aizen after all).

This was what I was hoping if kubo didn’t end the thousand year blood war prematurely. Isshin would save ichigo after he got severely beaten by Ywach. He would use his final getsuga in an attempt to get revenge for Masaki but ultimately lose. This would have been darker but so epic because this man didn’t get one fight in the whole war. That was a huge disservice.

It’s a misnomer to refer to him as tensa zangetsu or Ilichigos Bankai. That is young ywatch, and has nothing to do w his shinigami powers until hollow ichigo fuses.

It's not just Mugetsu that references Letzt Stil. Ichigo regained his powers in a manner almost identical to Uryuu did after using Letzt Stil, namely exhausting his body before being pierced right next to the heart by a source of reishi.

Another thing to note is that Ichigo's false banaki was taught to him by Old Man Zangetsu (Yhwach) and Zangetsu (White) claims that he learned "bankai" at the same time Ichigo did and White should be the Shikai version of Ichigo's Zanpakuto spirit. Meaning that though Yhwach gave him the name of his true power, what Ichigo actually achieved was a quincy ability. And what is the greatest quincy ability that Yhwach bestows upon his chosen Sternritter? A holy form. Without actually imbibing Yhwach's blood, the closest facsimile of the technique Ichigo could manifest would be the antiquated version: Letz Stele.

Isshin has used the Final Getsuga Tenshou. He said as much when talking to Urahara upon regaining his powers. He said he doesn't blame Urahara because it was his ability. Implying, he used the Final Getsuga Tenshou in order to pour all his power into the gigai when bonding with Masaki. Which I think is why we see him use Getsuga Tenshou in Masaki's dreamstate I think Isshin learned about the technique from simple training. I mean, how does anyone learn any techniques? How did Byakuya learn Senkei? The Final Getsuga Tenshou is the natural ultimate state of Getsuga Tenshou so it's only a matter of time before the user realizes it's potential. Even Ichigo was beginning to explore various ways he could use Getsuga Tenshou, like when he wrapped his sword in Getsuga without discharging it in order to amplify his standard sword strikes. Imagine doing that but wrapping your entire body in the energy and using ALL of your energy. That's basically the Final Getsuga Tenshou

Your first paragraph is a cool hypothesis, but Urahara specifically told Isshin when offering him to help Masaki that he would lose all his powers while he is contained in the gigai.

@@tailez606 I know. The two aren't mutually exclusive. The reason Urahara said he'd lose his powers is because they would be used to form the seal, and the Gigai merely facilitated the connection. So long as the seal was in place, he would be trapped in the gigai and unable to use his powers. That's why Isshin regained his powers and was able to leave the Gigai when Ichigo's Hollow powers became too strong for his spiritual pressure to contain.

Isshin regained them without anyone's additional interference, but Ichigo had to regain them via a spirit sword stabbed through his chest. This means that on a more literal level, how they lost their powers has to be fundamentally different because the method of regaining them is different. Now on a more philosophical/abstract level, you could say that Isshin's entire soul is and always has been entwined with Masaki. He considers Masaki "the sun", and what is the Sun if not a great big ball of fire. Isshin's abilities are of course fire based, and his sword's name is Scathing Moon, possibly representing that despite being the counterpart of the sun (i.e. the moon), he also had to play the part of the sun (i.e. scathing). Maybe his entire life and his own Final Getsuga was there for that moment, to save Masaki from the hollow in her. In that context you could totally say it was his Final Getsuga. Him losing his powers is then more metaphorical in that he decided to leave his old life behind and start a family, and he regained his powers because there was suddenly someone else he needed to protect, that being his son. In that sense, Ichigo regaining his powers wasn't just a spiritual sword stab, it was a reminder of all the people who trust him, believe him, and people he wants to protect. The powers were always there, but he needed to be reminded of them. Ichigo's FGT would basically be the culmination of what Ichigo was building up for and essentially what he was (partially) created by Aizen for - to give Aizen someone strong enough to humble him. So in conclusion, I think that interpretation would work, but on this deeper philosophical level, rather than on a more literal powers level. P.S. I did check the translation where Isshin says "My ability" but I don't know what the original japanese says (and I don't understand Japanese enough to be able to find out on my own), but it might be interpretable in different ways, I.e. it could have meant something more along the lines of "my position in the context we were in", that is to say he was the only one who "was able to" do it, by being the only shinigami there, therefore making it his "ability".

@tailez606 I thought of that and have 2 theories. My first theory is that the final Getsuga Tenshou in Isshin's case wasn't used for an attack but to be the power source for a seal. So once the seal was broken, all that power went back to him, working similarly to the energy sword Ichigo got hit with. My second theory is a bit more complicated. Mainly, I don't think the Final Getsuga Tenshou is permanent. Remember, Uryu says Ichigo still had some trace of power during the Fullbring arc. We also have Rukia explaining in that arc that you can't steal the totality of a Soul Reapers power, only the surface layer. This reasoning becomes more clear when Mayuri in the TYBW explains that so long as the heart is beating, spiritual pressure will continually flow, meaning Soul Reapers are essentially self-recharging batteries. Even if they lose or use up all their energy, they can gradually restore them. Just like we saw with Rukia in the Substitute Soul Reaper arc. Who, interestingly, was also kept from regaining her powers due to Urahara's machinations. The only way to permanently lose their powers is if their vital points, their soul sleep, and soul booster are destroyed. I doubt the Final Getsuga Tenshou does that. I think it simply causes them to lose their Soul Reaper powers temporarily, and they'll gradually regain them. Think of it like Soi-Fon's Bankai, but instead of only using the totality of their bankai power, it uses all their power, reducing them to mortal souls until they recover. In other words, Isshin regained his powers during the 20 years he spent as a human, but due to the Gigai and the seal, he couldn't access them until Ichigo broke free and the connection was severed. That's a fair interpretation of the quote and is possible. 'Course it could also be a simple retcon. Who knows. Somone on Klub Outside needs to ask him

I should note that Urahara, when describing the bond that Isshin and Masaki would have to enter, didn't refer to Isshin specifically being the only one to be able to do it - he was only talking about the balance of Shinigami/Hollow/Human/Quincy. Isshin didn't do any special prep or training, or enter any special form for this supposed FGT. He just became human, which was a result of Urahara's gigai more than anything. I think the key here is that the Shinigami needs to be strong enough to keep the Hollow at bay, so any captain class could work, but only Isshin is available given the circumstances. Additionally, I'm sure Urahara knows pretty much everything about everyone, but we can't be 100% sure he knows about FGT and how the ability manifests itself. The 2nd theory is pretty much how I think it works too. I think every spiritually aware character can regain their powers, given enough time and assuming no restrictions are put on them from outside sources (i.e. Urahara's gigais). The way the story is structured, it creates a sense of urgency for the characters to regain their powers, so alternative/more powerful/forceful methods are employed, such as Uryuu getting stabbed by an arrow and Ichigo getting stabbed by a sword. I'm sure the reason it's implied it's "not possible to regain powers any other way" is because other potential characters would also have some kind of time constraints placed on them in order to regain those powers.

Isshin must've learned of Mugetsu from one of his predecessors; Having either seen it used and asking Engetsu about it, having learned of it from some history involving the Shiba clan and then asking Engetsu about it.

FGT is the fusion of Isshin/Ichigo and their power; it's a form that stands at the pinnacle of Bleach's power system. Aizen achieved a similar form through the Hogyoku, and if you want to use non-canon sources, the BBS "Beyond Bankai" forms are also similar. It's the form itself and not the catalyst that's important; Getsuga is most certainly a zanpakuto ability of both Isshin and Ichigo (Ginjo can also use Getsuga because he absorbed it from Ichigo's power); however, their limit breaking fusion form that they achieved through FGT is something that all Shinigami should be able to do in their own way. Correction about Letzt Stil: Letzt Stil doesn't seal a Quincy's reiatsu or reiryoku after use; it's the opposite; it suppresses reiryoku/reiatsu and Quincy abilities while equipped. Once broken, it releases the suppression and forces the Quincy's maximum potential to manipulate and absorb reishi. The influx of immense amounts of reishi causes the Quincy's ability to burn out. They can see souls and use reiryoku/reiatsu but they won't be able to manipulate or absorb reishi again, at least without the ritual that Ryuken perform on Uryu.

I think there are some details worth noting. The first is that final getsuga tensho of ichigo is achieved througth the power of hollowified tensa zangetsu, which is the representation of ichigo's quincy powers, hollow powers (and all of its variations too i think) and his incomplete shinigami powers. And the technique is perfomed in an state beyond bankai (according to aizen) and uses all of ichigo's power, just as uryu's form, so that is probably why those forms are so similar, and also tensa zangetsu is a young yuhaba, and if the soul king is truly a being with shinigami, hollow and quincy like powers with a lot of spiritual pressure, then hollowified tensa and therefore final getsuga tensho ichigo should be very simmilar to the soul king and yuhaba who absorbed it, so that would explain their simmilarities. And second, i think final getsuga tensho doesn't erase the users powers, and it was just in ichigo case due to him basically using it without a zanpakuto and using his other powers as fuel but i'm not sure, if it is the case then ichigo form could be explained as a shinigami technique which was performed using other races powers

Never understood why Aizen didn’t use his shikai against ichigo

I've always theorized that Getsuga just White imitating what he saw when he fought Isshin.

I'm thinking Getsu could be a clan inherited name for a line of Zanpactou from the Shiba clan. And Final Getsuga Tenshou could be a clan inherited technique. I'm betting Isshin would have a flaming Mugestsu.

Isshin knows much about of Ichigo's powers because he's Ichigo's father and he have almost same power too what Ichigo have. On the anime when I'll saw first time Isshin's transformation into Shinigami trying to protecting Kon from Hollow-like monster who had a human's face still don't know what that Monster with sword and human face was but it really SURPRISED me to see Ichigo's dad's Isshin's Shinigami powers without knowing he's even a Shinigami because I didin't readed The Manga before I'll watched a whole Bleach anime in last year 2022 what's still one of my FAVOURITE years because of Bleach and it continued in a same year's fall Thousand Year Blood War. The Final Fight between of Isshin, Urahara, Yoruichi and defienitily Ichigo and Aizen is really AMAZING fight and it was INTERESTING to see when Isshin learned GETSUGA TENSHO to he's son Ichigo when they wen't through a port between of human world where they living and Soul Society. Still in my opinion one of most EPIC Bleach moment is when Gin Ichimaru tryed really to KILL Aizen, Gin was a real HERO and now he's THE LEGEND! 🔥🔥

one aspect that I think is at least notable, Ichigo's final getsuga is pitch black, Ywach soul king form is pitch black, and Ichibe, one of the most powerful soul reapers in existence, also utilizes pitch black powers. 3 of the most powerful beings in an overpowered state all utilizing black seems noteworthy. bleach has always played around with typical conventiens of storytelling, and in a lot of stories the idea of white or purity are seen as good, where as black or darkness is evil, but bleach has switched that around, the good guys wear black, Ichigo's mugetsu is black etc. I wonder if black reiatsu is linked to the soul king too, like maybe he utilized a pitch black power too, it would also fit thematically with Ichibe having control over all of it given his actions.

What i wonder was what was Isshin's bankai, we just saw a brief line when Aizen said it will took a toll on his body.

isshins would probably of been more red and fire and also melee range. i wonder how it scales to head captain bankai... also engetsu just means flaming moon, or if we look to ichigos zanpakuto which means to slay the moon, or slaying moon, or kill moon. engetsu means raze the moon :) moonless sky sounds like a good translation. because he SLAYED the moon. this is the result of slaying it. the end game. its a super cool naming convention kubo is poetic with his names and designs

Love the theory. Final GT was overpowering and transcending but Letz was an overkill boost on top of an overkill technique. That's why even Aizen could not match it. Those are the two theories I heard and it's great you found a way to combine them.

To be honest before the 1000 year blood war arc revealed Isshin past I thought that Isshin used the “final Getsuga Tenshou” and that is why he didn’t have Soul reaper powers till after the soul society arc.

i am not sure how is it very few people notice the obvious similarity between Bach final form draped in black reiatsu and Ichigo's final Getsuga form also draped in black reiatsu, with long black hair and red eyes

I agree that It's probably a Shiba family secret technique to only use in the most desperate of situations. It may have been inspired by the quincy, but it truthfully only seems to be a fusion of Ichigo's powers for Ichigo himself. It's a technique that uses all of his powers and requires that harmonization between them. This is probably why Isshin didn't use the technique himself. Despite how strong he was, he knew his mugen wouldn't be as strong as Ichigo's because he only has soul reaper powers, and Ichigo can infuse his quincy and hollow powers into his final Getsuga. This fusion probably multiplies his powers significantly beyond what a soul reaper alone could achieve. Though, had he done that earlier in the fight, before Aizen fully transformed, he'd have probably been able to pull off a win, or at least a significant blow to Aizen. It's a cool technique, and I wonder what Isshin's would look like. It'd probably be a bit different because he wouldn't have quincy/soul king-like spiritual energy leaking out of him. Or maybe he would've, in which case, I'd take that as confirmation that the technique was quincy inspired

Well the final getsuga tensho is stated to be a technique not an ability. So it would make sense that the knowledge of said technique would be passed spiritually

After reading the CFYOW novels I assumed the technique was passed down from a generation to the other since they are Noble

Im just noticing that in final getsuga ichigo looks alot loke y'watch. Like the eyes are the same. Even though his bankai is suppose to be white's form

I think all of the noble families have something special about them. I think the Shiba clan developed the technique of the final getsuga as a trump card. Essentially, the third evolution of a zanpaktoo. I think the merger between a sword and the person is third evolution.

If the Quincy, Soul Reapers, and Wolfman Race have a final end all transformation I wonder if all races have it. If yes then what would the Fullbring, and Hollow versions be.

It's unfortunate. Because personally i like the head Canon that mugetsu was essential letzt still, and ichigo unknowingly tap into his quincy powers. His needed cooperation with zangetsu adds up. However this just cannot be the case if it's a Shiba technique.

My theory is the Shiba Clan shares an unique attack known as the Getsuga Tensho. The fact Isshin and Ichigo uses the Getsuga Tensho despite having different zanpakutos and they both use the Final Getsuga Tensho to achieve deity level power in exchange of the Soul Reaper powers shows that move is passed down from generations of the Shiba Clan. I wish Ichigo could have known about his relatives Ganju, Kukaku and the late Kaien a lot more.

Was it ever stated if just entering the “final getsuga” form is enough to make ichigo lose his powers or is it only upon the release of mugetsu?

The whole final getsuga tensho thing is confused by Zangetsu actually being YHWH. So was it not a full power version? Was it Quincy power or Hollow power? What did the real Zangetsu (Hollow Ichigo) think of this?

I wish they would have done allot more with hollow ichigo. Instead of only one fight and then never go back to it again.

Final Getsuga Tensho should've been the Kurosaki family's version of the Letzt Stil, it should never had had anything to do with the Shiba family. It would've been a lot better for the plot if it was the first time we got to see Ichigo's Quincy Power manifesting, even if it wasn't explicit at the time. Same as if to get his powers back it was needed for Ichigo to get shot by a quincy's arrow during the Fullbring Arc.

To be honest. Ichigo mugetsu isn't isshins final getsuga tensho. Ichigo uses his quincy ability of gathering reaitsu and his shinngami technique to have mugetsu. I only say this because ichigo bankai had revealed it. His shihakuso right sleeve is no more and the chain is wrapped around. Vasto lorde didn't even have that sleeve touched. But now it is gone and chains (which is the qunicy hint.) So isshin could be a mugetsu like, not as powerful tho . I mean issshin has the best getsuga within bleach so that's says alot. Objection! I think Ginjo was able to use getsuga only because he absorbed his powers. If it can be learned, Ginjo never had a chance to even see the move enough to. It most likely transferred along with Ichigo's power. If getsuga isn't a zanpakto skill, then Ichigo hasn't learned ANYTHING about his sword yet which isn't the case. Ichigo is closer than ever to his zanpakto. Getsuga has to be a zanpakto skill that's accessible through the Shiba bloodline. It cannot be learned by anyone because the skill of eating spiritual pressure, condensing it and fire it isn't something all zanpakto are capable of.

I think it is a bit of a contradiction in the manga that Ichigo learns an obviously inherited shinigami technique from his bankai... but in the end it turns out that he never had a bankai or a proper zanpakuto at all. So how did he ACTUALLY learn that technique? Did his inner quincy king teach it to him somehow? How did using muigetsu strip him of his shinigami powers if he never really had them?

What is confusing for me and i am capable of being wrong wasnt yhe final getsuga coming from ywach instead of ichigos actual sword soul

Final getsuga being a quincy ability is quite the stretch. Especially when your take implies ishin taught ichigo letzt stil when in fact he conveyed no reference to quincies at all when telling ichigo to learn FG. The statement where you imply ichigo must be in tune with all his power (hollow, shinigami, and quincy) also does not make any sense. He knew nothing about his quincy heritage so how can he be in tune with it? I get that these are inly theories but there is irrefutable evidence contradicting many of your points.

I believe Isshin was a branch family member of the Shiba. If I'm not mistaken, Kukaku referred to him as "uncle", which means he's the younger brother of Kukaku's mother or father. Kaien, being the eldest child of the main family means HE was the former head of the Shiba, not Isshin which is how Kukaku became the head after Kaien's death. I don't know if it would have transpired differently if Isshin was still present or if he was... The timelines are so muddy. I'd figure Isshin was because Ganju was smaller when Kaien died so this had to have taken place like a hundred years ago.

When ishin left the spyl society the job of head would be passed to the next kin in line which would be a nephew or niece if the sibling was already dead which would be kaien

@@darrellhunt6366 that's not how Japanese lines work. The first born son/daughter (sometimes) is considered the heir. That child's lineage is considered the main family. IF Isshin was the head of the Shiba and left with no heir, THEN the head of the clan shifts to eldest next of kin (Kaien). That's why Kukaku is head now, after her older brother died. That line now becomes the main family, and the former head is the branch family... It's either that or clan war. Which happened often, especially when the former main family contested, or had a daughter or perhaps a male son later in life that wasn't there during the transfer of power. An Anime example would be the Huuga clan in Naruto. The first born twin son became the heir and the 2nd born twin became the branch and subservient to the main. Dang near slaves. In that instance, had the first born died, control over the Huuga would have fallen to Hinata or her sister - not the 2nd brother, who in most other cultures would have been crowned the head.

Thats exactly what I said isshin left and his role of clan head was passed to the next kin since he had no heirs that would be his brother or the descendant of his brother (kaien) then (kukakku) ishhin left to live in the land of the living so clan head was passed down I don't understand how what I'm saying is any different then what you just said?

I dint think he had to use mugetsu. As dongi ichigo could have destroyed aizen. As is. Thats how it seemed to me. Aizen couldnt sense his spiritual pressure even in his latst form while ichigo was in dongai, and still couldnt sense it in mugetsu, why couldnt he figure out he evolved to a highr being before as he originally atated people who are normal can not sense his s.p beings that are lower can not sense those with god like S.P, so why was aizen so suprised??? Two things! 1. I can DEFINITELY see isshin doing the final getsuga tensho against bach in the last season. It makes the most sense, and i think he'll do it when ichigo is probably injured. It would be a great send off to the character! And 2. I definetely believe he learned that technique training in the royal guard. Aint no way he learned a technique THAT powerful without going there. Plus one of the sword 5 looks like mugetsu, so it makes total sense!
