So I turned 12 now and I am 5'7 now. I dunk to elementary school hoop which is 8 feet as i know. I think maybe I need to quit to do crazy plyometrics and wait when I turned 18 or 19... and work with heavy weights. I dont wanna work with heavy weights now as I want to grow. Thanks for sharing about knee problems!

Guy is an unbelievable leaper.. However that shown is not a vertical jump. You can't take 6, 8 10 steps and jump. In 1976 the Guiness book of world records measured Darrell Griffith s vertical. It was 48 inches. Standing still!. That's a vertical. Look it up. By the way there are volleyball players with near 50 inch vertical s . This is some more sensationalism . Dr Dunk Darrell Grifith look him up.

Vertical jumps dont have to be standing jumps. Vertical jump just means not measuring distance covered along the ground.

Dunking is the fountain of youth? It's a bro opinion but there's some truth in that. Leg explosiveness does go with age there's no denying that - I certainly felt more athletic when i was dunking 5 years ago - but now i don't see any benefit in my life to dunk. It has zero carry over to success in other areas of life. Working on your cardio and posture is a better use of your time for the vast majority of people

For the vast majority of people training their verticals, it is not for the purpose of longevity. We all know it won't last. It's the high (literally) that we chase.

He OBJECTIVELY has the highest vertical on earth meaning that it was measured in an official way. No doubt Anthony Height is jumping very close to or at 50" but he hasn't officially tested that high.
