I know, right? It was honestly the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in! We’d definitely recommend staying there if ever you go to Phu Quoc!

Happy birthday to Jordanna 🎉. Glad that you really enjoyed the 5 star hotel. We used to stay in another Vinpearl hotel on Hon Tre island in Nha Trang, and its design was very similar to this one. Everything was perfect, the price, the food, the staff, the scenery...

Definitely going to stay with them in future whenever we want a bit of luxury! Glad to hear that you had a similar experience with the one in Nha Trang (we’ll have to add that to our list and stay there in the future!)

Really glad to hear that you’re enjoying our videos 🙌😊👌😀 As you’re planning your trip, if there’s anything you aren’t sure about just let us know and we’ll do our best to advise you! 🙌 Just one thing to watch out for (we didn’t realise this at first) - there are two different hotel brands VinPearl and Melia VinPearl (VinPearl was an established hotel brand so when the Spanish Melia hotel chain bought some of them they kept the VinPearl part in the names of the hotels). In our experience they are both absolutely fantastic and you won’t be disappointed with either but the Melia VinPearls are slightly better in our opinion (generally when they bought the VinPearl hotels they invested in improving them - as an example the Phu Quoc hotel we stayed in only had one international restaurant, so when Melia bought it they added Italian, Chinese and Japanese restaurants so there was more choice). They are both amazing, but where there are cities with both I would personally go for the Melia VinPearl!

Happy belated birthday, Jordana! What an amazing, unforgettable experience that must have been for you. Wow...that place is beyond ridiculous! How do they recoup, much less MAKE any money at all? The fact that you get a 3-room villa with a pool and private beach for $150/night blows my mind...I'm better off moving there than renting where I am now where there's no views and the food is meh. And the food wasn't hiked up to a ridiculous level is also crazy. I notice from all the videos that Phu Quoc seems pretty empty. I wonder if they built too much too quickly and then covid hit so no one came. Or maybe it's off-season? Hopefully they'll get more people in, but may not too much before I get there and the price sky rockets.

Thanks 😊🎊🥳 It was definitely an unforgettable experience! It was easily the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in (and we’ve stayed in a lot of hotels, so that’s saying something). If you ever go to Phu Quoc you have to stay there! I honestly have no idea how they make any money. It must cost so much even just on all the staff, amazing food, upkeep of such an incredible site and all the villas etc. I know we were there in off-season but it was incredible value for money. Ah that’s doesn’t sound good - the food was one our our favourite parts of Vietnam, you need to get yourself to somewhere with amazing food! Where abouts are you living, if you don’t mind me asking? Yeah it was all weirdly quiet. We asked the hotel and they said it’s much busier in the school holidays. We both wondered if they’d built too much too quickly at the North side of the island. They’d built a huge site at Grand World but probably more than half the buildings were empty - the middle was great but at all edges it was completely empty. According to Google the whole VinWonders, Grand World, hotels complex fully finished construction in 2021, so I think you’re right about Covid - it looks like terrible timing and it might take a while until it gets to a decent occupancy. It all looked incredible and they’ve obviously invested a huge amount of money so I’m sure it’ll be successful in the end.

Was there places close by to go eat off property? Thanks And how was the food prices on property?

There wasn’t much nearby to be honest (other than the golf course, theme park and grand world), it was a bit of a long taxi to get to town - as is fairly common with the fancy hotels in Phu Quoc. There were lots of restaurants on site (an Italian, a Japanese, an international buffet, a sports bar and a Spanish restaurant) so we were happy to eat in the hotel most of the time. We thought the food prices on the site were higher than at local restaurants but fair for the high quality of the food. We returned last week and we probably paid 200k - 300k VND per person per meal for food, which is in line with what we’d expect at a 5-star hotel in Vietnam. Genuinely, all the food we had was exceptional.

Are you guys… at this resort RIGHT NOW?! My family and I are visiting this place, and I watched this exact video a few days ago!!
