That handle is awful! Thats unfinished work in my book. The handle is as important as the axe.

@@crueltyjuggernaut3912 наука давно оптимальный способ посчитала как калить. Суть в том, что с 800-900 быстро охладить, а потом сделатт правильный отпуск - нагреть до240-300 с°. Они не соблюли температуры, закалка сошла на нет, так как, по-моему лезаие повторно нагрелось выше 300°, что целиком ее убило. Поподробнее: "кузница с Леонидом Архангельским". Его ролики на одном дыхании можно смотреть, он грамотно по науке обьясняет.

Thats some pretty crappy work at the end. You dont put a handle on like that. And you ALWAYS wedge the head of any axe, hammer, etc. Always.

that is actually not crappy or wrong, it is called an slip fit axe, a very common way to handle axes in many areas of the world. Almost all latin american axes for example are like this.

Ever hear of the basque axe? Like this axe they are hung like a mattock. Some tomahawks are like this as well. That head will never fly off unless you catastrophically destroy your handle. The only downside is a lack of a palm swell.

@@bloodybrit127 not saying it would fly off but it can loosen, especially if you dont keep your swing plane straight and hit at a weird angle. And yes, the no palm swell is an issue. Does it work? Sure. Are there much better ways to make and attach a handle? 100%. It just seems unfinished when they put all that work into making the head then just willy nilly put a low-grade handle on it.
