He cracks me up 😂
I have only had male veiled chameleons (1 at a time), but they were not afraid of me and begged to come out of the cage. My first, Thaddeus, liked to go outside in the sunshine, and would ride on top of my head, since that was the highest point he could get to. My second, Xander, liked to lie along the top of my computer monitor, while I was teleworking. I’m glad they weren’t timid. I admire your patience and ability to love them, no matter how they respond to you, directly! 👍🏻

That's so great that you had such wonderful relationships with your chams!
That's fantastic to hear! It sounds like your Ambilobe female panther chameleon is thriving and adapting well to her new environment. Keep up the great care, and it's exciting to see her healthy and growing. 😊🦎🌿
When I had my female panther, she would always be in spanish moss that was her favorite, she would turn purple and pink and orange

Maybe fill in the open spots on the top open areas with spanish moss and she might like that. When I had her she would lay eggs in the pots which made it sort of hard to retrieve. I went bioactive with the biodudes terafirma, but she passed before I could get her a mate so all the eggs were infertile
Oh my gosh I love Neptune so much.

@@NeptunetheChameleonI also have one question, How do you get Natural Tree Branches outside? Do you just approach a tree and cut the branches?
I'm also glad my boy eats dubia and lobster roaches. Took couple days but now it's his favorite ❤

She could still be in the acclimation period or there may be something else going on. I’d suggest watching this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qZV3x6ukgaiXmNo.htmlsi=1Soc9H1VJZzV1_yR

Around 9 months old is when I start backing off a bit.
To be fair, females would be fending off the males normally and a lot of male chams don't take hints well. So it makes sense to be a vit more defensive of interaction. Yeah, the only female cham I have still thinks I've the source of all evil. But will actually eat with me in the room now after a year. Even if that's the most she wants to do with me at the moment.
Is this the one that fell in that short you uploaded?

Yes it is
can you breed chameleons at any time of the year (summer/winter)? will you be selling any of the eggs/babies if it's successful?
@NeptunetheChameleon
11 ай бұрын
I’d be trying to strategically breed them to align with the best times of the year to ship them due to temperatures. And yes I do plan to sell the babies once they are the appropriate size to ship and do not plan to sell any eggs.
Hi neptune please help me haha. I have just purchased a veiled chameleon. Im in the philippines. The ambient temperature here is 29-33 degrees C. Do i still need to use a heat bulb? The pet store said i do but i am slightly confused about the temperature. Night time temps only drop to 26 degress C minimum.
@NeptunetheChameleon

Hello! You definitely don’t need a heat bulb with those temps. If anything you need an AC unit or a way to cool it down
@Issadana

@@NeptunetheChameleon Thank you, i thought this was the case. I said to the pet store the same thing about the ambient temps being so high already. He said quote, if the chameleon is to hot it will move lower. Obviously just trying to sell me the heat globe and fixture. Thank you

At the 3:33 mark, you appear to be offering food via tongs, which you have advised against in other videos due to risk of tongue injury. Why are you doing that here, with your new chameleon, instead of offering food via cup or bowl? Has your recommendation changed, or is this still deemed unsafe?
@NeptunetheChameleon

I was using the tongs to try to provoke interest in the bugs but I don't use that as a method to feed my chameleons. I still recommend cup feeding :)
