@@JohnsonDang67 there's a difference between INDIAN loan & Chinese high interest loans and they are called debt trap for a reason because no one knows on what conditions China gives loan to struggling economies.

But most India citizens choose China products then India products. Like India mobile phone loose to China mobile. Most computers and electronic n electrical products in India are made in China. Are you holding China mobile or using China computers and your house electronic n electrical products?

There is two facts about this partnerships.....1. to counter China obviously. 2. To boost the global south's economy....as PM Modi told that India want to be a Vishwa Guru(Teacher of the world) and also promised to be the voice of the global south as the global south don't have anyone on their side. So, that's why $1 B was given on line of credit to Mongolia, and not only to Mongolia but many others like Sri Lanka, afghanistan and many more countries who are having some crisis.

Japan and India have very old political relations.... Even before WW2... Japan is a genuine partner, plus their former PM Shinzo Abe was a true friend of India... Both of us do not like the Chinese Govt... Japan invests heavily in India in many sectors...

Mongolia and Japan both share not so friendly relationship with China. So to counter China they are natural partner candidates for India. It's the age old warcraft/statecraft strategy of Chaanakya: Your immediate neighbor state is a potential enemy, neighbor's immediate neighbor state is a potential friend. Besides $1 billion is not a big amount and it's a credit line not a gift, which means it's equity is recoverable and Mangolia probably needs the funding, so it's a very good investment for India.

India has $590 billion as foreign reserves, so $1 billion to Mangolia, $2 billion to Sri Lanka and latest $250 million to Kenya is nothing but future investment ... We have alot so we are busy in investing right now.

Did you forget already? You watched that Gengis Khan video. The chinese ancestors had always been trying to keep the mongol tribes at war with each other. Until Gengis Khan came and united mongolia. Also the former government leaders of Mongolia once pointed out that the rise of Beijing has hampered their own growth in some way, because the world was getting the same products from China which had a better infrastructure hence hampering Mongolia's growth. The Mongolian and Chinese relations are quite normal. But Mongolia like every other country needs to look out for themselves and their citizens and get opportunities not serve china's interests. Nepal & Sri Lanka does the same. They both have good relations with India and cultural ties but they also keep their relations up with China(as you know there is a chinese port in Sri Lanka). But you also need to be informed that China and North Korea have good relations. But back during the Covid times, North Korea was suffering food shortages and since they are a diplomatically isolated country no one helped them. India came forward and through world food programme. Gave a line of credit of $1Million to improve their food issues.

So the reason India is wooing Mongolia is because it is strategically very important, as more than 90% of china's population lives to the east of this 'heihe-tengchong' line. Which includes Inner Mongolia, Manchurian, so if India is able to secure a military base in Mongolia then China's population will be directly come under the radar. So that will keep China in check from doing any mischief or threatening India from nucks.

Winning against China is very difficult because it is a one party state. Any decision made can be implemented immediately. In India, at every step there is voting etc..getting consensus for a change is much hard. The Chinese could easily lobby these vested interests to drag on any decision and stop it from implementing. Also the wages is an issue. In China they can overwork and underpay people. Here there is a lot of hassle and legalities. Employers must give employees health benefits insurance, restrictions on working hours etc That's why their GDP is 19 T$, ours is 3T$.

*Its a slightly old video, a lot has happened since, if you check French and USA has lot of strategic ports in Indian ocean. India has signed agreement with both counties and India got access to more than dozen of strategic ports owned by French and USA combined. So can say we have further strengthened the Necklace of Diamonds, also on eastern side of Indonesia near 2 other smaller straits too India has got military access. Not to forget Australia access. So in any major conflict between India and China, It be India which can implement denial of service, by EASILY choking China. So now you understand, why USA and West changed term Asia Pacific to Indo Pacific instead along with providing Indian Navy officers permanent access to USA Indo Pacific Command HQ in pacific ocean. Plus USA signed contract with Indian ports to repair and service USA ships in region, this may seem a small word repair USA war ships, but it means a lot if you go into detail of it. including ship designs, capability, access etc. Also in China west, in Tajikistan, India has 2 Airforce bases, Ayni Air Force Base, also known as Gissar Air Base 10 km west of the capital Dushanbe India has a Air Force base, jointly operated by India and Tajikistan Air Force and in second one Farkhor Air Base 130km southwest of capital Dushanbe.* USA works in concept of alliances and trying to pressurize India in different ways to get concession/ have its way, while India works on Issue based common working. So the so called issues India has with West, is nothing but bargaining chips. Dont go too much into it, its just negotiation tactics and will slip away in air in no time, when concrete deals are done. India wont let go of Russia friendship, no matter what the pressure, also a sour point for USA is India USA trade deal, where both sides have taken position to protect its populace interests. Mongolia just like Tajikistan for a possible Air Force base. It could possibly be a joint India, Russia, Mongolia, jointly operated base, since we 3 countries have super nice relationship, will serve India, while lessening Mongolia insecurities Vs China, since China has already captured Inner Mongolia forcefully in the past.

Foreign minister Jaisunker wife is Japanese, so marriage is still the best form of strengthing ties, this is similar to the Indian diaspora all around the world strengthing ties with Bharat. This diaspora is very important for lobbying Bharat's geopolitical interests. Money talks therefore the more affluent the diaspora of Indians become, the more powerful Bharat becomes.

Mangolian and Chinese have ancient conflicts (you know..changes Khan vs chaina)... but mangolia see india(Bharat) as hope... 2nd. Japan and Indian have kind of civilization level friendship.. Last time old japan pm singo Abe (Modi friends like melody) trying to de- colonize japan but killed by a gunman...you know.. what I mean. 3rd . you know indian God's are worshipping by Japanese as there God ( because ancient indian Japanese history and culture is linked.)
