@@RetroCheats Sorry that should be isn't familiar.... Police horses are typically ridden by only a few, and sometimes only one, handler when actually deployed. If the horse doesn't know you it won't charge into something dangerous. Trained horses will let a competent person ride them (maybe), but they won't just go charge something, they'll rear or evade and likely buck the rider.

The villain getting brutally hit and being fine bothered me. Like, you can hear the crunch in the theater. I thought the plot would be that he used the dial to save himself. Like, if he immediately woke up 25 years in the future. That would explain why no one knew who he was, even though the CIA would have known exactly who he is. If you're going to have a magical time travel macguffin, why not have it time travel to the beginning of the movie?

Honestly think Indie staying in the past and living in the history he loved to study so much would have been a much better ending than what we got

Ignoring the potential time travel issues, it would have gone against the spirit of every previous Indiana Jones ending, where he gives up the historical artifact instead of keeping it. It'd be like if the Last Crusade ending with Sean Connery saying "That's my life's work! Keep going Henry, I'm sure you can reach it!"

​​​@@garbouwdeark9103It already went against the spirit of every previous Indiana Jones movie by making the biblical artifact turn out to be fake in favor of "math", having no fist fight with the big brute character, and the big bad doesn't get a gruesome death (even when Archimedes' death rays are RIGHT THERE). It intentionally skipped out on the Indy tropes that even Crystal Skull had in abundance. Story wise, the man had nothing left in the present day, and the movie didn't really do much to prove him wrong other than having Marion magically show up at the very end.

@@HyraxusPrimusI mean, it still *_WAS_* a gruesome death, they just chickened out of even showing us the beginning of it.😑 Would something like a zoom in on Mikkelson’s face from the perspective of fast-spreading flames from a fiery explosion been too much to ask?! There are much better ways to imply a gruesome death that aren’t having it happen far away in the background while the heroes make it safely out.

Nah, that wouldn't make any sense and he wouldn't have had a happy ending where he's reunited with Marion. Also, it could be that Mutt was mistakenly reported KIA and in 1975 he returns home to Indy and Marion. After all, Indy is still alive in 1992, 17 years later.

they were almost accurate at saying ''Dragon'' in Greek.

I get Harrison Ford is older and can't do that many stunts anymore, but that's all the more reason this movie needed more of that energy from the swordsman scene in "Raiders of the Lost Ark": An older, crankier Indy not giving a damn and just shooting people left and right (and the director of "Logan" absolutely could've made that work)

More so than Raiders (I never saw Dial of Destiny)? I understand where people come from with Raiders, but I am on the side of Channel Awesome, where they say Raiders is more about Indy's character development than the Ark.

That scene when Indiana Jones and the horse were in the subway Indiana and the horse didn’t stop when they were on the other track they kept on going until they made it to safety and when they part ways when Indiana escaped on the subway train at the last second and when the horse got returned back to the police that is a good horse that Indiana ride on to escape from the bad guys at the parade. Marion should have been brought in much earlier, and the healing of their relationship the arc of the film, and been the reason Indy chooses to go home. Not a surprise treat at the end.

At the end of the movie I kept thinking he should have gone to the Roman army surgeons and talked them through treating a bullet wound. They'd probably be grateful even, seeing as a bunch of their guys got shot.

I'd love it if you could do a How it Should have Ended on movies from other countries like Audition (Japanese horror movie) or Dead Sushi (low budget Japanese horror comedy) or maybe How it Should have Ended on found footage films like The Blair Witch Project.
