Procrastination is killing me right now. I'll spend hours focusing on anything but the main task. Glad to know I'm not the only one and happy I listened to this. Thanks!

Same. On the upside my place has never been this tidy and clean.

I feel this on so many levels.
Thanks to channels like yours, I didn't fall into the college trap we're all pressured into. I actually learned how to teach and invest in myself.
Thank you so much for sharing these tips, Payton. I just got let go as a junior software engineer a few weeks ago & am now embracing the fact that I've always loved design and that' where my heart lies. I would get tired of backend coding but could literally work on design for five hours without getting up. Thank you thank you! I know I can be a freelancer, dammit!
Haven't finished the video, but already loving it. I waited till my son was 5 before we played BOTW, it took us a good 6 to 7 months to get through it, and it is some of the most precious memories I have with him and my second oldest who was 3.5 years old when we started it. You have no idea how excited we are for Tears of the Kingdom. Taking days off of work just for it
Some really great tips in this vid. You always put out a ton of free high value content. Been learning a lot from your videos.
This much value in just one video! 🔥🔥
I am in the planning of starting my business and hearing all of these things really help. Thank you 😊
Thanks Payton! It meant so much to me
Thanks a lot

Hey Tristan ! I wanted to know whether I should or not put the payment from clients to escrow service in order to pay with this method to contractors ?
Thanks for this educative video. I started pursuing career in tech because I couldn't afford to continue pursuing my degree. I have learnt how to build website with no code or little code platform. But I'm having issues getting clients abd have trying my best. What can I do to be more professional on getting clients?. Thanks
I also got a degree in web design and development through University in Australia, and it cost me many, many many thousands of dollars. I did learn a lot, but nothing I couldn't have learned through online courses and just practicing. I do think it helped in introducing me to building websites, I'm not sure I would have discovered my passion for building them otherwise. But like you, I could have quit after I realised I enjoyed it and wanted to pursue it, and filled the gaps in my knowledge through online courses and it'd have saved me years and thousands.
Thank you for sharing! :)
Thank you for making me realize that I do NOT want to speedrun my career. I want to take my time, don't get stressed out and enjoy my life while it's happening. If that means that things will take longer but I will end up not completely stressed and burned out then I think that's worth it.
Thank you for the video! What do you think about starting your social media journey with TikTok instead of KZread? Shorter videos look a bit less scary

I think it is completely up to you and what works best for you. I think tiktok is a fine platform. I prefer KZread but that doesn’t mean it’s the only answer!
HAHA when your son said "Right in the face, that must have hurt" 😂 Great video as always

Will it still br a good investment to apply for paitpro even if I don’t use webflow like you and I use some different program or I am going to have to swap to using webflow to really get 100% of the paitpro benefits?
@PaytonClarkSmith

Absolutely! Pait Pro is for all web designers! We have designers using every different tool out there so come join us!
What's the difference between paitacademy and paitpro?
When you say you wished you had taken courses for $2k which courses are you speaking of specifically?
What are some good videos for not-expert-yets to post about? Should you post for your potential clients, or for people doing the same as you?
So for growth do you prefer speed run on freelancing or agency/little studio straightforward? (obvious answer but...)
@PaytonClarkSmith

I would say it could be a combination of either/both. Whatever works best for you!

Hello Bonsai
I like your first point about going to college, while acquiring knowledge is very important in life and you should definitely get a degree in some field. In America it's just a scam, you spend WAAAY too much money for how much value you're actually getting from that degree.
@PaytonClarkSmith
Жыл бұрын
Agreed. Of course there are some jobs that a degree is essential. But for web design/entrepreneurship/business it seems to me that you’re better off finding your own education. With that said, college is a great social experience that I really enjoyed!
Gulp. I have been doing this for 20 years and I havent achieved what you have achieved in five years.
