How I’ve Had A Succesful Dart Frog Vivarium!
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
Once again I'm here to talk about my dart frogs! Although... My dart frogs aren't the stars of todays video, their plants are! My dart frogs live in a beautiful, bioactive vivarium that I set up about 6 months ago. Over these past six months, my vivarium has proven to be quite successful as the plants have been absolutely thriving! In this video, I'll be giving you a tour of the tank, a close look at all the plants, and then I'll be sharing with you how i've managed to have so much success!

I love your plant placement & choices! I'm literally so obsessed with my thumbnail dart frogs. They're SO cute & fun to watch. I've had this trio (R. imitator "Tarapoto") for less than 4 months, currently am raising 6 of their tadpoles & am setting up my second planted vivarium! 😍You're inspo to start a pet channel !!
So happy that the setup and plants are doing great! I also like how social the frogs are.
I'd love to see a two year update on your dart frog tank
I am droolingggggg over here over this enclosure oh my godddd ... that plant growth is SO satisfying
Lovely enclosure Emma! You have come such a long long way from when I first started watching you years ago. We love to see it! 😊 Do you think you will expand more into dart frogs, or are you happy with the pair you have?
Great video. Looks stunning. I like the plant with tiny leaves.
I've been waiting for an update, soooo beautiuful
Great job! So many ppl keep dart frogs wrong. Good to see you’ve done your due diligence 👍🏽
Really enjoy they ground cover.
Such a lovely animal room, keep up the good work! The new Troy Goldberg lol!
Great informative video! What about the misters? Do you have them along with the lights on a timer. If so, how long do the lights stay on and how often do you mist?
Wow, Beautiful setup! Question, what is ur mist schedule.. and did you do anything to the top lid or kept it as is?
16:56 that mystery plant is probably a cissus amazonica
I think I need to get a pilea depressa! I've been trying to get a creeping Jenny to take over the ground area, but it keeps reaching for the top and coming the cork instead. I absolutely love my dart frog tank because every single plant I put in there absolutely thrives. If I get a plant and it starts doing bad, I make sure it is completely rinsed off and them put it in there and it immediately does better. I almost find the more joy in the plants then in the frog, because the frog is quite shy and only comes out when being fed. Edit: Do you think you could use just substratum or a mix of substratum with other things for a crested gecko enclosure and not have to worry about impaction?
Which misting system are you using ? Thank you
WoW love you exhibit so beautiful
hey emma i love ypure vids and i am getting dart frogs soon (dendrobates azures blue) i belive that is what they are called i have the terrasky and the 18x18x18 enclosure however i was wondering what some good plants are i have a pothos bromeliad and a peace lily i am getting baby tears i was wondering what other good plants are going to work well? (i have moss)
Your frogs are def on the skinny side. I would dust almost every feeding and start feeding maybe 2x what you currently are. The one that keeps trying to escape almost looks like it’s sides are concave inward instead of them having a belly.
kind of a random question but i set up my tree frogs new viv a few weeks ago and i’ve noticed some mold growing. I read from josh’s frogs that it’s normal for all terrariums to grow mold at first because the environment is cycling but i just wanted to know your thoughts and if you dealt with this as well?
Absolutely
Darts!! 👍🏻
Great video Emma, one day I think I would love to do a terrarium, can you only do this with frogs?

You can do with any animal! But it’s especially popular with reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Look up bioactive vivarium build on KZread and you will find an abundance of videos taking you through each step☺️
Please start listing the plant names. Those are beautiful
How long do you leave the mister on for and how many times a day?
I love these type of videos !!! Ur enclosures for your animals are the best ever !!! Your truly the best pet tuber in the game !!!
Beautiful setup who is the best online supplier for Exo Terra supplies ?
I grow ALOT of Begonia Amphioxus, and I really want to make a vivarium for it.
I full kinda dumb asking but how do I buy it there no option to add to car or to buy it
Dart frog dart frog dart frog dart frog dart frog everywhere!!! Nooooo we're not obsessed.... ^^

Is Canada nice?
my moms name is linda too.. i kinda see the resemblance ;)
Love this, but disappointed. I was watching it on my TV and then loaded on my laptop so i could read the description and comments. Was hoping you listed all the plants in the description.. BUMMER! Do you have a "how to" for the making of the backdrop? I've been thinking of ways I can make mine
So....captive bred poison dart frogs aren't poisonous at all? Can they "become" poisonous? If I ever were to get dart frogs I wouldn't handle em anyway but just wanting to be sure.

The toxins come from their diet in the wild, a captive bred dart can’t become poisonous

@@mariyabaileys okay thank you. That's exactly what I have read before but just wanted to triple check xD
When can we see the dart frog babies
Shout out to Linda for stressing me out the whole video. I forgive her because shes pretty
How about a list of the plant names so we don't have to guess at the spellings.

turn on subtitles and stop hating. if you don’t know how to spell just say that
Hold the camera steady your videos will improve 100%
I'm still waiting for a video about your other animals that we have not seen or heard anything about for like 6 months. Do you still have them? You have not even told us why you have not showed them or how they live yet. I'm not really interested in smaller lizards so it's not so fun. :/
I want dart frogs but my parents say no and they say frogs are a "kids" pet.

Ask for a tarantula for a while and then go back to dart frogs, they’ll probably like the idea of dart frogs compared to tarantulas, however, I feel the need to point out, tarantulas are better

A “kids” pet? That sounds like horsedung to me. Owning a pet is a huge responsibility. It’s a living being not a toy. If they really said that, that’s a huge red flag lol Edit; specially the care requirements for these guys.. it’s a bit like fish. Everyone assumes it’s easy but it really isn’t and you need to learn the nitrogen cycle and understand it to successfully run a tank that’s sustainable.. The same with a terrarium or such enclosures. People should always take the effort to make it look natural. It’s the least we can do. Not just stick it into a glass tank and call it a day. Definitely not a child’s toy and it’s super educational. Hope your parents come around.

@@AdriCr4ft They won't. Ask my father about pets to him a dog or a cat are pets. Not a lizard or a frog. He'll say "you can't take a lizard or frog for a walk and what do they do? Just sit there."

@@sunshinecarnivores1919 sorry your parents are like that. Every person has its own interests and hobbies. Just because they have no interest in lizards doesn’t give them the right to say they can’t be pets or interesting. My parents where the same don’t worry. It’s not for nothing I don’t speak with them any more. Just toxic overall but I only realised when I hit my 20s how further it went.. It’s a shame they don’t realise that at the same time they are holding you back. These hobbies can sometimes lead to lifetime jobs. I say you hang on to your passions and when you have the possibilities to become independent, follow your hobbies and everything you wanted to achieve and do but couldn’t. Think positively. Right now you would probably be depending on them to buy you supplies. Lights, enclosure, foods.. I’m going to be honest here and guess that THEY WILL cheap it out. Meaning they will not be looking to buy the best for your pet and instead they will buy the most affordable. By your comment on them at least it’s the vibes I’m getting, If they do decide to give in and get you the dart frogs it will most likely be to just shut you up and will probably think it will die in a month🙄 I could say show them lizards doing cool stuff on KZread but what’s the point they seem pretty convinced their right. If you get a job and live by yourself you will be able to buy a proper enclosure with those fancy lights you would like and some 10 star grub for your frog bro. That’s what I did with my fish hobbie. Fish apparently can’t be pets either. On my family side they where ornaments. Research? Not worth it they are just fish lol Don’t quit You will eventually get there
I am so opposed with your plants
stop with the hand movements so much !!!!!!!!
