yeah its a solid option.

My daw was only showing 4 of 8 tracks the setting you said to change was already correct but on that same page a little lower I was able to find what I needed! Thanx

Glad you got it sorted.

So it should work with Soundforge - Im on a PC hard to find good mixer for my PC input brought a cheap behringer 4x track but mic dont amp up well and its all a bit scratchy and noisy - need a replacement this is about 3x the cost .... so bit of a commitment - I also use novation live 11 with pads and acid pro

All those tones came from the Fortin plugin. Any interface I use has to have a loopback channel so I can do some custom routing into my DAW or livestream setup.

The 18i8 is awesome. But I can't seem to get mine registered. I've used it for playback from my MPC LIVE but, once I've unplugged put mt laptop to sleep the mix is lost because it continually fails to register my focusrite. WHAT am I doing wrong that it won't register?

Great video. I bought the Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 (1st Gen) in 2014. What would be the difference between this and the 3rd generation? Your Focusrite control software is different than the Focusrite Mixing Control that came with mine. Yours looks more user friendly actually. I'm guessing that I wouldn't be able to use that control on the first generation? Thanks
