How I Use the Eventide H9 Max Pedal (And Not Get Overwhelmed!)

Музыка

When I first got the H9 Max, I was equal parts thrilled and overwhelmed. It has so many amazing effects, but also is a lot to sort through and requires a more creative vision than a one-effect pedal. I wanted to make you a video I wish I had when I first got it that is just like here's how I use this pedal and here are a few recommendations of effects I use regularly. So hope this video helps you! If you've been using the H9 Max for a while, drop your favorite algorithms below!

Thanks. The sounds are amazing and after I figured out I can make my own presets it was fun. It is vast but I’ve been using my iPad to make my sounds. This works great as I am not a fan of the dial and the H90 looks to be more user friendly. Thoughts?

Haley, this is a superb video because you have clearly explained a simple, logical, and practical way for people to get started on actually using this complex pedal. As you rightly say, the H9 can be overwhelming at first. So your sensible approach of first selecting 10 favourites, with one in each category, should help a lot of people quickly begin to make more interesting music, and build confidence to explore this amazing pedal further. Your excellent communication skills and charming enthusiasm make this video a pleasure to watch. I look forward to seeing more. Good Luck!

I still have mine but I didn’t like how it digitized the sound and a couple of times at gigs it would have buzz or something. So love The patches , but I don’t use it . Max or core. I haven’t sold it and it may make return if I go midi again. I use analog pearls for everything now. Keeps my tone organic

Hi awesome video! I assume h9 Max would be able to pull off "Knife Drop" from h90 completely since it has HotSawz?

  • @haleypowersmusic

Hey! Thank you so much! Oh good question- I haven’t tried the H90 yet (the demos of it sound awesome!) so I’m not sure what Knife Drop is! Is that a harmonizer effect? I know that some of the effects do overlap so there is a good possibly there is something similar!
