megan, i love how you are not afraid to use different planners depending on what your needs and interests are! i bullet journaled for five years before i discovered the hobonichi and your channel. your hobonichi method is one i had adapted to suit my own needs and it really picks up where my bullet journaling had started to lack. and recently i was inspired to try my media journaling in a filofax, using the pages you have available on your shop. it's a super weird coincidence that you have created new pages for your own media tracking. anyway, i just wanted to say thank you for sharing all your different planners and journals!!! i hope you've been feeling better and resting lots ♡

I can relate. I have two A5 Filofaxes and several journals on the go: daily planning for real estate work, planner for writing, to do journal, art journal, etc.

I fully had a feeling you’d get on board with a personal size! I’ve been through A5, A4, pocket, personal….everything 😂! My ‘pile of shame planners’ are sat staring me in the face whilst I watch this video….but….I think that’s the beauty of journaling and planning, you’re forever developing your systems! Totally agree the narrowness of the filofax pages personally offend me and that’s why I couldn’t get on with the personal size….if you’re gonna be making these pages available for us for the personal size I may give it another go mind 👀😜

As someone whose failed at more than 55 purchases of a variety of journals (filled, lined, blank,dotted,squared,cheap, expensive) in the last 5 years alone, this comment makes me feel so much better about my journey!

I'm so impressed that you manage to switch from planner to planner I always feel this guilt that I have to finish the book I chose for the year

portability is exactly why i started carrying around a pocket size rings 🌸 i know you mentioned that you could never plan in something so small, and i thought the same too, but its surprisingly handy. if youre used to the size of the field notes its kind of like that. i also have my personal rings for when i need a little more space so im so glad youre coming out with that size! 💗 i also love how much you jump around notebooks because i do the same and it normalizes it a bit i think. why stick to something if it doesnt work out for you? you can always go back too so its not a big deal.

I love watching your systems, I started using the weeks about 6 weeks ago after seeing your vid on it and it’s such an amazing system for my AuDHD, only problem is that it’s reigniting the stationary hyperfixation 😂

See I was going to play the "why did she switch" game but instead I read the comments so I know why already. 😆😆😆In any event, I've enjoyed watching the journey of you playing around with a new planner and all the twists and turns it's taken. Its quite delightful actually. Makes me feel like I'm not alone with how much I bounce around with things, planners, ideas, etc.

Love this video!🖤 I recently developed a new planning system with large note cards and mini pockets in folders I created. All inside a travelers notebook I made myself so I am pretty proud. Honestly seeing you jump around planners and sizes just makes me feel better about my own planner switching habits 🫣 I’ve been working in a personal size for a few weeks after swearing I’d never use a rings, but I discovered Plotter which has 11mm size rings and for me it is peak and I’m living. I haven’t had this much fun in a planner for a long time, so I totally get it. I love seeing the pages you’ve made and how you’ve set everything up!

I bookmarked the article you mentioned as I’m always trying to collect info on narcolepsy. The napping at Starbucks is so relatable! I honestly wish I could do this. I LOVE the idea of having this perfect daily record to look back on. I've been thinking about getting the Hobonichi Weeks since I started watching your videos, but my brain is just not capable of writing things down regularly. :(

I have the Norfolk in pocket and the one loop is awkward even with the correct pages. It bends up the dividers and pages. So I don’t use it when it’s closed. I love the espresso cover. It’s exciting to see you excited about it!

I love the music tracker!!! I would add something for my favorite lyrics I’m not a fan of hoops because I’m always afraid I’ll accidentally rip pages or something, but I do like that you can reorganize stuff I’m so glad you’re back, now I’m inspired to go back and try to fix my system. I’m currently one week into my vacation and I already had 3 breakdowns, my system stopped working and I feel exhausted, but thanks to you I keep my motivation to try and figure things out ❤

Okay not to influence you to switch AGAIN but i recently switched from rings to discs and i think you would realllly like it. Can still move pages around, fit lots of pages, you can stick into leather cover or pull the book out and use without cover. You can also fold the book in half to help write which is my favorite part. Love seeing your journey through books and it has inspired me to experiment more!

I am a filofax girl (mostly...) with the Original my absolute favourite - simple design and amazing chunky leather. Took me a very long time to make peace with the personal size but now I use it alongside A5. Both are way too big to carry around, so they stay at home and if I need to carry I have a compact Calypso with 15mm rings which is great for just the current calendar pages and some notes paper.

Love this❣️Discovered the same rings & inserts combo through Peanuts Planner Co as well.😍This system pairs nicely with my B6 Kokuyo notebook (commonplace). I am currently using the Holborn she recommended. I like the feeling of carrying around my own personal “book”. The Filofax Original line does well with this insert size too.

I had to move out of my Malden A5 to a Lockwood Personal Zip for the same reason as you. I started this year in the Personal after over 8 years in an A5, and it has been difficult at times, but quite quickly I have found I adapted to the new size.

I don't write down the albums I've listened to in my journal, but I do something similar with books. I record what books I have read each year. I also record how many pages they have, the authors, which were my favourites, and also a short review.

I'd love to see a tarot card insert for daily card pulls. I can't wait until these are available.

Once my financial situation allows, I will invest in my first Filofax.

i currently use an a5 and while i love it it is HUGE. the pages may be a5, but the filofax itself is like a b5, so it takes up so much space in my bag. i'm seriously considering switching down to personal, but i can't find inserts that i like (i also dislike the narrow page style). i would be really interested to see like a full video of how you make your own inserts, because i've been wanting to make my own, but can't get my head around how to do it

came for the update because i'm trying to figure out how to organize my messy brain and remember things (so i find your videos helpful) but commenting because that tarot deck is beautiful T_T sometimes i impulse buy special interest items but i'm working on that so i'm going to just add the deck to my "one day / later" list with the rest of my "i don't need this now, but boy do i want it" things xD

There are B6 ring planners and accessories too, they're very similar to the wide personal size you're using! Do you take the pages out to write on them? Big rings look like they'd make it uncomfortable to write on the left side.

I am so excited for a recipe page. For a suggestion of a page to make, could you make one for an art craft project? So I’m thinking it would be similar to recipe page but instead of ingredients, you could list the art supplies you’re using to make the project (so knitting needle size and yarn information or paint and ink colors or whatever) and then you could have a place to write out your notes and sketches for the project. This could even extend beyond art to just any project.

I used a personal filofax for years, they're really satisfying! And yeah, personal is WAY easier to carry than A5. Respect to you for figuring out the printing! Is the pen still unwieldy if you hook the pen clip into the loop rather than the barrel?

With your new size of pages, do you think you'll still upload A5 sizing to your shop? I've only just figured out the perfect printing options to fit my clipbook properly and I would love to update it with new pages in the future!

New subscriber here! After some advice please. I recently purchased a Lyndhurst Filofax Mini Zip Organiser, but cannot find the Inserts anywhere. It's a 5 Ring as you probably already know. I haven't the facilities to print off Inserts etc, just need to purchase the Inserts directly. Any advice would be appreciated. I've searched everywhere! Thankyou! ❤

My pre video guess is that it's easier to carry.

Why do you say it doesn't work well? That's basically what I've been using for two years now though I admit the page size is smaller than a6. Maybe it's different for the bigger size?

This video made me want to use filofax , but then I realized how much I hate all notebooks with this type of bound and how uncomfortable they are for me to write in. so probably i am not getting one(((

Trim the ruler! That would annoy the sh*t out of me, too.

I think the A5 size, which is half of the A4 size, is better because there are no paper Easter and because it's bigger... You might want to try it out... ❤❤❤❤
