Hey Alaina , I have been looking for a brainstorming notebook video like this for ages ! Yours is perfect 🥰 I love how you explained in detail how to use a notebook step by step its so functional, Who knew you can use a notebook as a organisational tool .🤔 I wish this video came earlier my planner lineup is 6 for "22". Only because I write excessively explaining every task in depth . With my planners writing space is too small. Currently my first year in paper planning from years in digital. I use both. This vid would have really help me cut down my lineup to 3 or 4. I do have a brainstorming book but use it only for ideas . This will help me transform the way I use it Thank you ❤

Wow! 6 planners for 2022? I'm curious what each is for?? I do agree about the writing space being a little too small to some. Im also curious about your brainstorming book! 😍 I've been keeping like a small notepad with things like random lists, random notes, ideas, etc. BUT, my problem is when I think of something I KNEW I wrote down and trying to flip all over just to find it! (I hope that's not just me! Lol!) Do you have any suggestions on how to fix that?? 😬 That's what I'm struggling with right now.

@@celiagallegos This is low-tech and inexpensive, but you can try color coding and grouping. I've found generally things added to a "brainstorming" list fall into 4 or 5 broad categories. Ex. "Notes to self", "budget", "kids"...like that. Pick a pack of 4/5 highlighters, assign a color to each group and make a key in the front/back of the notebook. Then mark each new note with its group color. That way, when you flip through it months, maybe years, down the line, you can scan quickly by color for the category your looking for. And you'll skim over a BUNCH of unrelated content. Add a reoccurring reminder to your schedule to go back thru newly added notes to color code them every now and again (archiving it). ....unless you feel that's too much 😆 I just know it's easy for some to scan by colors than by words.

@@17...20 Yesssss!!!! I would do much better looking for colors!! So, what would you say I do with the notes I have in this notepad already...?? I came up in the day of the Franklin Planner where the rule of thumb was everything in one planner - no post-it notes, scratch paper, etc. That really does not work for me. It really isn't either/or but both/and! One works for some people and more than one planner works for others! I believe I'm in the latter category! Adding tabs with the topic on it, on the pages you know you will refer back to, can help. Or maybe start a quick reference index in the back page pages of the notebook. That way you can quickly look up where the info you want is located. If you make "rules" for where you store each category/topic of information you may need to refer ti it may also help. For example I have a page marked within my current notebook for present ideas for different people to be used when I need to buy a present for a birthday/Christmas or other celebration. I write favourite colours, items, etc. If someone mentions they love or want or need a particular thing I try to write it down on these pages

New to your channel... Have you heard of Rocketbook? If you have, any thoughts as far as it working for a brainstorming notebook? If you haven't you should look into it. I particularly love that you waist no paper and can save into categories on the app. Anyway... I look forward to doing some catch-up on your channel. I myself just keep a notebook by my couch and another by my bed. Any notes, phone numbers, appts, ideas, etc go in them and then later I put it where it needs to go. When used up I keep them for at least 6 months just in case. I love having all that chaos in one place rather than little papers or old envelopes scattered around.

@@TheOrganizedMoney oh ok!! I think I understand now. So, your commonplace book is probably a bit more organized...I would guess? But how do you keep track of what's in each NB, especially the commonplace book? do you just write in it randomly, like as you come across something you will want to refer back to? Or do you have different sections? Right now I have a small notepad where Ive just been keeping a VARIETY of things - certain lists, fave shops/products, more random lists (projects to do, companies I wanna look into, etc), KZread videos to watch, KZread notes! So, with all that being said (and that's not even everything! Lol), what would you suggest I put into each notebook?? 😬 I'd love to have a commonplace book, a "reference" book, and then like a "random notes" book lol, such as things I want to quickly write down before I forget it! So, again...how would you suggest I split all these up?? 😊 You are seriously the best!!! A true inspiration ✨🙌🏼 (So sorry about the long message though!) ~ Celia ✨
