I definitely am. I don't have a business but I'm a South African who studied in Turkey and in the UK. People ask me alot of questions about studying abroad so I'd like to share my experience. Additionally, I now work as an engineer in a male-dominated field and I STILL do not know how to share my experiences. Both the good and not so great. I hope to grow enough to be able to do that.

what I have done is pre-record little "good morning" and talking bits so I have them on hand. My goal is to have my face on my story every day and this helps

Instagram Stories are so inconsistent. It’s crazy hard to maintain. Engagement will be crazy with huge four-figure views and then ... the next day, nothing. Even with the same content.

Girl you are the reason my business is thriving .

I was that person not planning my social media strategy - I make it easier by building a content calendar and discpline myself to plan ahead - and also not be scared to try new things. YAS - LATER IS DOPE AND SAVED MY LIFE TOO.

Do you use Later for your content calendar?

This is helpful because my engagement has decreased tremendously with IG new algorithm. I keep trying to post consistently but my engagement has gone down. Definitely using your tips!

Definitely insta story engagement is always inconsistent. Sometimes when I'm barely doing anything I get the most views lol

Erin... when I tell you I was literally thinking to myself yesterday "wouldn't ti be cool if I could find a way to plan ahead and schedule my IG posts?" All imma tell y'all it ASK and you shall receive!! Thank you Erin, for being the literally answer to one of my prayers💕 EDIT: The hardest thing is this Instagram is just ONE part of trying to be a content creator! Social media strategy is very important. Content creation is fundamental to the social media marketing strategy. As a digital marketing specialist, I always try to create content that is 99% high-quality. For example, to have a high-quality live video I go live from my desktop using YellowDuck .tv that allows me to go live on IG from my PC or Mac. To have a visually more attractive post I use Canva. Also, I schedule my posts using Hootsuite or Later.

Later sounds like a great app! So useful especially if u have a lot of content lined up and ur not quite ready to post them, you can start your post in that app and edit it there too and then schedule the post for when u want to to appear on your IG! Great for keeping up with posting on IG. P.S. I love your look here! Ur hair is pretty and it matches so nicely with the denim

The most challenging thing is MAKING REELS! 1. I don't like acting- not natural to me. 2. They are like MINI youtube content i.e requires pre- thought and editing and I already do all that work for my youtube channel. 3. If you don't sync with the music its horrible but syncing with the music ain't easy 4. The easy reels are the boring ones - true story😆 5. I'm already doing post, story, tv and now Reels 😮 😬 6. It's TIME CONSUMING. See #s 2, 3 and 5. Whew.....I didn't know I had these strong feelings 🤣🤣🤣 I feel much better now. Thanks for asking E.

This was really good! At first I thought it was only going to be about Later, (which I’m going to try) but then you went on about even more great stuff! Authentic! I took notes! Thank you!!!!

Not sure why this post has many dislikes but I just gave you a thumbs up!

One of the most challenging things for me on Instagram is feeling like I can’t be as diverse as I would be on KZread. On KZread you can make videos about so many different topics, but they still relate to you and what you’re up to as a person. But photos from those themes on Instagram just look like a random “picture salad”. So I have felt like I have to niche down and get really specific with Instagram and leave out content I would want to share on KZread. Is anybody else having a similar experience? Or am I overthinking? Perhaps learning how to use Instagram live and doing more stories and using videos will fix that problem. Thanks for sharing these growth strategies

I'd say use videos instead of images. Videos do better in terms of reach anyway because there's just naturally more to engage with in a video than an image. Chunk your youtube video talking points into individual videos for IG. Same info but just separated if that makes sense. Or even better just repurpose a one of two of the best parts for IG!

The most difficult thing for me personally is storytelling and I don't have pictures with myself, it is out of my budget currently to get a pro photo shoot and usually on insta & fb posts get more engagements when I have my own photos vs other. I kind of dropped out of SM for a few months...
