You are beautiful people! My daddy had a spinal injury at 70. He learned to use the slide board too! I feel so close to him this moment. 😘 He pasted years later. Keep up the love and all the good work. Blessings!
Wow Conner you're a very strong guy, fight on dear, you'll be just fine. You wife a gift.

As a retired, spinal cord injury nurse of 31 years, I must say you put a lot of work into learning your transfers, and whoever your therapist was had to be awesome. Just a little FYI I was married to a paraplegic T9 for 23 years till he passed away of brain cancer.
Great video! 👍I am hoping to do that on my own soon. Stay safe, be well & God bless.

We are so happy you’re here🤍
Would it be possible to install an overhead trapeze for you to grab to help you slide on your board easier or to adjust your position in bed? Sounds expensive, I know. Thanks for sharing.

It’s possible, I noticed one in an episode of Lost haha! Although probably easier to use for paraplegics.
Hello, can you tell me where I can buy the roll over strap? I’ve been searching online and can’t find it. Huge help! Thank you 😊

I am curious - it looks like you have core strength am I right? I have never seen anyone transfer alone- that is great!

He is paralyzed from the chest down, so no he does not have core strength. With lots of practice however, he is able to maintain decent balance with transfers.

We just got a standing frame so about to get to it. There is always a lot of work to do and I am getting after it💪🏻
Hi, what type of mattress do you have?
@JourneywiththeFosters

Just picked one via recommendation of the bed manufacturer. Firm enough to transfer, yet soft enough to prevent pressure sores!
