I would think that patients with only partial use of their arms would be prone to injuries. What happens then?

They either are dependently shifted with assistance if they can maintain sitting balance throughout, or transferred using a different method (e.g. powered sit to stand lift, mechanical lift etc.).

What if the mattress is higher?

To tranfer , the chair must be higher than the bed and vice versa . If not it will be much harder or not at all . Also if your alone and fall your in trouble.

Easy if you can move around , if not you’re stuck , if it was that easy

Everyone is different and this is for someone who has the capacity to use it. Very helpful guide. She also provided situations such as bed sores where it would not be appropriate. Easy is subjective.

U should get someone who is really paralyzed b-cuz ur partner I seen she moved her hips so made it look easy
