DESCRIPTION--
Greg Berzinsky for Beardbrand here today to show us how to go from this...to this.
Greg starts with a freshly washed and conditioned beard, which he does every other day. He can't air dry his beard, Greg says, or he looks like Bozo the clown (I doubt that very much), so he has to do some work to get his dapper beard under control. To achieve a similar style for a medium texture, medium full beard, follow Greg's advice.
Not too fine, not too course, Greg likes to add some product to his beard that will give him some more fullness, density and courseness. Beardbrand Salt Spray is added when it's still wet, working it in and then combing it through to distribute the product.
Greg takes a bit of the curl out of the sides and adds a bit of wave to the chin of his beard by blow drying and using a .5 inch diameter round brush. He works downward with a hot setting and then coaxes the hair under at the bottom. Once it's in the right place he hits the beard with the cool air option on his dryer to set the hair in place. At the jawline Greg uses the brush to roll the hair down and back.
The mustache today will be worn down so he uses the brush in a similar direction to pull the hair down and blend it into his beard.
Greg enjoys a lot of product in his beard so he uses a generous dollop of Styling Balm, works it between his hands to warm it up and then works that into his beard, following the same motion he did with the brush. Moving in the direction of the hair working it down and under.
Next, Greg uses a comb to smooth just the top layer with a beard and blend the mustache into the beard for a nice symmetrical finish.
This takes about 3 minutes on a normal day. He refreshes it in the morning and washes his mustache a couple times a day to rinse out food and drinks.
ABOUT BEARDBRAND
Beardbrand is a men’s grooming company that is helping men keep on growing by providing education and tools for urban beardsmen to master their morning routine. We’ve found that confidence starts with self investment, and allows men to do great things for their families, co-workers, and community. We are working to break down the negative stereotypes that surround bearded men, and show the world it’s the man who matters, not the way he looks.

Well its true the Greek and Macedonians arent the same, bu they co existed and shared somewhat the same culture and traditions. Also they werent called Greek at that time, but Hellenic which is still used in Greece today as Hellas. Thats what they call themselves. Also Myths arent stories written by someone they are folklores meaning they were told generation to generation by the people that spoke greek. And thats the main reason its called Greek Mythology or Greek Pantheon. In the territory that Greece has today, at the time you could find every kind of culture like Hellas, Macedonians, Minoans, Spartans and many other. Also the first was the Hellenic culture. (why did i waste my time writing this?)

Greg, I know that this video is more than 3 years old. Thank you for the tips! I'm new to growing and grooming a beard. I've got a ton of curl in my beard! After getting the sea salt spray and following your directions, it looks better than ever. Question, you talk about using beard products in the video, but you only use the sea salt and the styling balm. When would one use the utility balm or beard oil when wanting to do this blow drying and straitening technique? Huge fan of Beardbrand!

Thanks for this video, very informative. I just grew a long beard for the first time, and it's the same length. And it also looks exactly like yours before styling. I just bought some products today, I hope to tame it as nicely as yours is.

Just purchased these products and used them for the 1st time, WOW Fantastic, I won't use anything else from now on, I've tried loads off stuff, this styling balm holds great
I know that some people are joking about what brought them here and how it wasn't useful for them, but I've been winging having a long beard (Longer than yours) for a decade with no help or tips and I'm so happy I found you.
You're my beard hero.
I'm 12 and just found my 1st mustache hair - watching this just in case...
I've recently grown out my beard and mustache for the first time in my life. It looks good, many compliments and Viking worthy from what people say. The hair is very curly/wavy and dense. Wondering which products to use for best longterm results. I already use beard oil, & beard butter. Beard balm seems to be more dense and good for a long term all day hold. My daughter gave me a beard straightener for father's day, but I'm apprehensive about using it. Greg, could you help me sort some of this out? I don't want to ruin what I've grown with ignorance and misdirection.
I find as well that ending all my showers with at least five minutes of the coldest water I can handle really keeps it soft and reduces the dreaded "kthulu factor"

I like to be clean shaven and not a fan of facial hair on me or others. You however, take it to the next level and possibly changing my view point! It's like artwork the way you work it. Thumbs up to you for sure!
Thanks for the tutorial. My husband has a nice beard, but it's sometimes it's a little fluffier than he would like. I'll mention your techniques to him.

Hi I was searching some beard tips for myself and you just complete it. Awesome.
Wow Looks great, I'm watching to see if my boyfriend will try this
I don’t know how I ended up here but I stayed the entire video. Oddly fascinating ❤️
First, I use a straw for all my drinks and don't care what others think. My coffee is half coffee and half milk and, yes, I use a straw for that as well. Second......Myth busted. Zeus does not wake up with a perfect beard!

Andromydous Zeus may not wake up with a perfect beard but he does watch Baerdbrand to get it that way.

LOL! It has been presumed through out history that Zeus went to bed with and woke up with the perfect glorious beard. Speaking of which, did anyone else see a spark or two flitting in his beard as he wrangled that hair into submission? Greg, while my beard goal is different than yours, there is no denying your majestic beard and your vid is great!

Use wooden, or metal straws. If the coffee is hot, it can melt the plastic.

For hot coffee, I just drink it from the cup directly. For my half coffee/half milk or ice coffee, I use a straw. The milk in the half and half makes the coffee cool enough not to melt the plastic. Thank you for your input, though. I'm planning to order a mustache guard pretty soon. The company I get my beard products from has one that fits different size cups.
I have a pretty long beard and its always stays wild no matter what I do. Im going to give a try with what you did. thanks for the content
This guy has an amazing beard. It actually was oddly satisfying seeing him groom his beard!
you are rocking that beard, man. Lookin good.
Beards are so manly that you can even comb it with a purple brush while blowing it dry and still look like a boss.
I was 51 last week. Wife died from Covid last year. Now i watch grooming videos. Then back to Underworld REZ Cowgirl every everything. I couldn't keep a straight face making a video like that - not just yet. Thanks, enjoyed it. Subscribed.
Great video you are a huge credit to the bearded community..I learned so much im going to go fix my beard now!
I can't believe I've never thought to put product (other than oil) on my beard.

Joseph Paez alright caveman but don't complain when you can only pick up unrefined women. If you want someone attractive, you gotta look attractive yourself.

So cool i found this video. Im a hairstylist and i work at a mens grooming center. One of my clients was curious about beard blow outs and i had never had a chance to style one with heat. i had an idea but wanted to see if there were any tips. Whats cool is we carry beardbrand products and i LOVE this brand. My fave is the style balm. There’s nothing like it. I didnt look at anything but the thumbnail when i chose this video and when i saw it was by beardbrand, i was stoked.
Great video! I was wondering how to get my 16 week old beard under control. Gonna need to buy some supplies asap
