MS1 here. Can’t tell you how quickly the “wrongie” method has turned my studying around. In a little over a week I was able to feel more comfortable with the weeks material than I have for any other week the whole semester. Which is saying a lot considering this week was Cranial nerves. Just took a practice final for my course and my scores were significantly higher than I’ve ever seen in practice. Thank you so much!!

8: 24 " if you can measure it's not working for you" I really like how you articulate that bit. Any method requires self experiment on yourself to see if it is really effective for yourself. And the only way to do it is spend time with it before jumping into conclusion. Great video. Keep up the great works!!

Honestly, I can't thank you enough for sharing all this content. You made me see there's a more productive and wiser way to learn and memorise without wasting valuable time. Although I knew reading, underlining and re-reading for long periods of time wasn't working at all (I was basically trying to not lose the focus rather than learning and understanding new information), I've kept on doing it for years (why, tho??) Definitely applying it for my EIR and nursing "oposición" exams. Cheers!

Excellent video! I've been kind of doing the "rongie method" indirectly but on Anki. Instead of just writing them down on the paper, i would type the points on Anki and put them under the tag "Difficult/Tricky", each for a specific topic tag as well to take an extra step at keeping it organised. Good advice you got there, got yourself a new subscriber ;)

Where was this when I was taking tests last year. 🤣 But thank you for this. I am definitely going to give this method a try for my senior in HIM and probably ASVAB. Again, thank you.

I know you're doing anki, but the new first aid has an updated ethics and biostats section. Would recommend finding a PDF or update first aid when you get closer to step.

I'm the guy who relied on overwhelming memorizing since I tried to turn every single piece of info into Notion toggles, which almost equals wasting nearly 88% of the prep session. I scored like shit even after running through that tremendous amount of questions, and not until now did I realize it's because of the lack of REAL testing, which I mistook as merely scanning through information. Now it's 3 weeks out from the biggest exam of my life, and I'll try this out and max it out!

Great video! How do you find yourself balancing time between reviewing lectures/reading through lectures and do Anki? What I first started trying was not even looking at lectures and went straight to making Anki cards. But when I was reviewing Anki cards, I found that I didn't have the "context" that surrounded the cards--ie., I could remember the cards well even after spaced repetition because I couldn't really put those pieces of info together into a larger "story" or framework. Did you feel like this as well?

Thanks, I never reread lectures seriously because it’s been shown to be ineffective. I’m releasing a video this Friday on exactly what I do but you really want to make sure you get an understanding before making the cards. That understanding, for me, comes from a third party video like boards and beyond or sketchy, then I READ over the individual cards in the Anki browser to make sure I understand them, then I start going through the cards (you can check out my normal daily study routine here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qJ5ozspygqasqto.html) I will usually do the above the day before the lecture, then when I show up to the lecture I have a good idea of what’s going on and just sit and watch. I don’t take notes or anything. I may make a flashcard or two on something that seems like a big picture idea I should understand. If when you are reviewing the cards you realize you have lost the big picture idea stop, google/textbook/lecture whatever it is you are doing, then in your head try and imagine you were explaining that material to a naive friend, then add that explanation to the “extra” section, or somewhere that pops up after you answer the card, if the Anki card. Also, this is my regular study “plan.” As you saw in the video above my exam review is just filling in those gaps from the regular semester, but, really, if you study consistently with Anki/understanding you shouldn’t have that many Rongies.
