How I study anatomy
Ойын-сауық
it took me tons of “bad” drawings before i even got the concept of “form”. so dont be discouraged, no one gets it overnight. practice & study consistently at your own pace (dont skip the basics!) and you’ll improve.
also i decided to discuss how important form is, bc studying anatomy first before form/perspective made it harder for me to progress.
as a last note, it is also helpful to alter the type of practice and experiment w/ different methods according to ur needs/what you want to prioritize / improve.

I Love this! We did something similar where we live out. This video actually gave us inspiration and hope that we can still become successful, thanks so much for this video.
I wanted to avoid shapes but the more I look at how artists draw, the more I realize there’s a reason why shapes is a fundamental of art. So gonna have to get to it 🙌
Look at the massive amout of sketches on de bg. Good effort and perseverance!
This is very informative, I also subscribed to your channel because I think you're such a good helper.
Thanks this was very helpful since one of my friends said to study on Anatomy since she didn’t know how to explain but at least my friend recommended me to know what Anatomy is. I’m very thankful for this video I hope you have a great day.❤❤❤
THIS HELPED ME A LOT! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Seeing how our stickmen look similar gives me hope
Thank you so much!!!
Now that you explained it in this video, I now remember numerous times where I told random people on the internet and people I know in real life what I planned to do with art. For example, I once made a water bottle character and announced to every person I know that I will make a comic with that character. It never happened. When Friday Night funkin was still relevant, I mentioned wanting to make a mod, but all I did was talk. No work was done. There was a time before that where I wanted to make a fan creation. One got like 2 chapters done. The other wasn't done at all. Point being, there have been plenty of times in my life where I announced my goal and did no work towards it and then began to live a false narrative of me making impressive work. I'm still working to escape my false narrative, but I thank you for this well explained video on why we should be careful about who we share our goals and avoid the trap of shooting ourselves in the foot.

Yeah just work and don't talk that'll just give the impression that you're not serious and no one will believe you anymore lol

I've told people about writing a book. I wrote the first quarter of 4 stories before giving up. The next story was always slightly longer giving me hope that I'll finish it, but I never could. Even I don’t believe myself anymore. I hope I don’t give up on my current project. It requires drawing and double the commitment
Google knows it all, I'm going to start drawing stuff for real and its recommending me some of the best tutorials and tips i've heard so far. tnx algorythm and eanrehc.

Can you post a tutorial please on how you practiced all of these tips ❤❤

there's this video by Proko called "6 steps to draw anything", imo it demonstrates very well how to manipulate the simplest shapes (which is essential if you want to draw more complex shapes, like bodies) it's not the only resource though, i would type "drawing form" on the search bar! c:
Great, now I can draw any position😈
Thank you😊

I'm not even able to do good gestures. Your beginner gestures are "I wish I could do that" for me 😫

Mam, can you suggest any drawing book where we can learn drawing from basic to lil bit advance, because in youtube, there are lots of channels but I can't find any who shows step by step, I mean, from basic shapes to anatomy practice drawing.

i don't have a particular drawing book to suggest, but if you look up "how to draw ___" (ex. how to draw an anime style face) or "___ reference" (ex. body drawing reference) on pinterest and youtube, there are a lot of beginner-friendly tutorials you can find.

for a beginner the "how to draw comics the marvel way" is ideal. i really don't recommend loomis. for me all of his books are completely useless and delusional but you still can read them to judge for yourself, it won't take much time. instead it's better to read "bridgman's complete guide to drawing from life" or some of marcos-mateu mestre because his books are super friendly to those who are new to art and they tell a ton of useful information, especially framed perspective 1&2 and framed drawing techniques. don't waste your time on michael mattesi or read just the beginning, which he just repeats for an entire 250 pages book. as the author of this channel said you can just google books on themes you want to find using basic phrases so i think it's better for me to mention some of the obscure ones. "the practice and science of drawing" by harold speed; "figure composition" by richard hatton; about the general drawing i recommend "the elements of drawing" by john ruskin; "sketching and rendering in pencil" or "rendering in pen and ink" by arthur guptull (surprisingly, both are similar to each other but the former has a chapter about life drawing though it tells a lot about architecture as well). and about the anatomy i really do recommend reading "gray's anatomy descriptive and surgical", any edition before the 30th and supply it with "morris anatomy" or "cunningham textbook of anatomy" if you find some chapters or pages confusing to you. supply yourself with some atlases as well like "frank netter's atlas of human anatomy" or "mcminn and spratt clinical atlas of human anatomy". of course it is not necessarily for everyone to know about the embryology or developmental anatomy or individual cranial bones or splanchnology, but i really do urge you to read the chapter about topographical anatomy and only then move on to trunk and limbs' bones, muscles and maybe to veins as well because obviously, they are visible too. nearly all of the books mentioned here are available on archive org and ultimate it's better to read all the books you can read in order to deeply confuse yourself with both how much you do know and how much you do not. also you can read "the intellectual life" by philip hilbert hamerton as an artists' and contemplative philosophy and john locke's "essay concerning human understanding" as epistemology, maybe an abridgment. it's really good, nothing to say more. i've included a lot, haven't i?
