    I use an old fireproof safe. Just one of the small document safes never had any issues. It's all in how you take care of the battery

    Great video. I just got my Ammo box. I did something similar. But I left the two sides. Front and back and took off the seal from the middle. I guess that will work too.

    Thats a great idea. If you do that right after you use them it will keep you warm in the winter 🤣 🤣

    I put mine in a butter cookie tin with holes in the top. And obviously keep it away from flammables.

    I guess the same goes for ammo cans. Arguably sucks even more when you need ammo but find batteries. @@OverBudgetRC

    That poor 2s must be feeling very lonely all alone … What is your reasoning for multiple storage containers. Do you use them as a charging station as well ? Where do you keep them in order to be safe ? If you watch the good testing videos, horrific fires .

    Lmao ya its so sad 🤣 I have a lot of batteries probably 2 of these containers full its just easier to organize them I do have more 2s. I charge them on the cement garage floor in the open but I don't leave them unattended. I also store them on the cement garage floor.

    @LazyGuyCoyote hopefully nothing will happen but if it does it will be bad. Thats why I store them this way. I'm not the only one thats does. People have lost their homes because of lipo fires, and not just when the batteries are charging.

    Is the battery damaged? If it is then yes you might want to do that to dispose of it.

    What’s wrong with storing them in a regular box ?

  • @OverBudgetRC

    @OverBudgetRC

    7 ай бұрын

    It's because these can go up in flames. If its in an ammo can the fire will be contained. And there will just be a lot of smoke. If its in a regular box and it goes up in flames you will burn down your house.

    What causes them to go up in flames?

  • @OverBudgetRC

    @OverBudgetRC

    @monday304 if they get damaged. If they are over or under charged. If they short out. I'm sure there are a lot of other reasons too. But I'd rather be safe then sorry.

    @@OverBudgetRC isn't there a built in mechanism that prevents them from being overcharge?

  • @OverBudgetRC

    @OverBudgetRC

    7 ай бұрын

    @monday304 in the battery no there isn't. A lot of chargers won't over charge but people can make mistakes and overcharge. If I set my charger to nimh and set the voltage way higher I can easily overcharge. But another thing that is bad is fully charged or drained batteries. It will damage the battery. It may not go up in flames but the battery wont last as long. Batteries need to be stored at 3.8V per cell and they will last longer. As long as you take care of your batteries they should last and not go up in flames. My oldest battery is 6 years old and still good. But I will always store them in an ammo can just in case.

    @@OverBudgetRC I just bought a new lipo my other one was pretty expanded. Don’t really want to buy a gun container for one battery. Does anybody else just keep in a stable temperature environment?

  • @OverBudgetRC

    @OverBudgetRC

    @dmac5678 I'm sure people do but its just risking it since you already had one that was expanded it might not have been too much longer if you didn't get rid of it. Some people keep them in lipo charge bags but to me this is safer. Its up to you though.
